They're all characters from the same sequence in The Nightmare before Christmas - Eli is turning into the Mayor, Layne is turning into Lock, J.None is the Wolfman, and Jeff is the Vampire, Earl is Behemoth

Geoff is a pineapple, Layne is a cactus, J is CatDog, and Earl and Eli are Cow and Chicken, respectively. CatDog and Cow and Chicken were Nickelodeon cartoon shows.
Yes, they used the intro chords from GGG again. Sets a nice fun spooky mood. I see that others have explained the characters that the guys are turning into, so I won't repeat it. And yes, Vampire Geoff could nibble on me anytime! LOL
Mortius, loved your cover! And loved watching you love this! This was my first full Voiceplay video. I thought the singing was fun, and YES, that the vampire was hot, so decided to check out more of there stuff...and fell in love with the group!

As keen as we are on Geoff’s vocals, I’m kind of surprised you didn’t mention his ‘segmented drone’ (for lack of a better phrase. As a baritone/bass myself it is really easy for repeated monotone notes to flatten the sound of a group. But he stayed firmly on track and never wavered. That said, I love your analyses and reactions. You even help me pick up things I miss when (re)listening to a track. Keep up the fantabulous work!
I still think this is one of if not the best covers Voiceplay has ever done. It's brilliantly done on all fronts and extremely catchy. Pretty sure I've listened to this more than any other Voiceplay song.
Nearly every time I listen to Voiceplay's cover of this, I count along with the chorus part in my head because of this video. "1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3!" (Or sometimes I snap along to the triplet part)

Is her name 'Cara"? (as in the song "Cara Mia"?). She has those big 'am I in trouble" eyes! Please tuck baby into a blanket (and then listen to Home Free's original "Remember My Name"). Great reaction - gorgeous puppy eyes just melted me into a puddle . . .
this was the one that made me fall hard & fast for VoicePlay. fun fact: some years ago I'd stumbled upon their Grim Grinning Ghosts, thought it was groovy, and added it to my faves without thinking to note who it was sung by. fast forward a couple of years, and I stumbled upon this one (destiny!!!!), thought a few of the faces & voices looked/sounded familiar, and sure enough! I fell right down that Halloween rabbit hole, and have never looked back. DESTINY!
When the Charismatic Voice was interviewing Layne, he said that filming this video took forever because they slowly made the transformations and would film as they went. I think he said it took over 8 hours (but I would have to go back to the interview to hear him say the exact amount).
