Winds 12-15 with gusts 20+. 160L with 9.2M. Practiced a bunch of tacks in choppy water rather sailing across to sandbars for the easy turn and beach start. Good confidence builder. Made a few jibes but none with the camera on. The water was great! Clean and clear. Pretty fun day!

Glad to hear the water is clearing up. I heard there was still some Red Tide issues down near Ft. Myers last week. Looked like another fun day for you though... Ride em" Cowboy!

I really appreciate the wind and sail info as well as the spot info. I did some windsurfing foiling here yesterday. I only brought a 8.5m which was to large for 20 gusting 30😁 but I had a few good rips. I brought a short foil mast but the water was high so not a problem. Thanks again for the video 👍

Oh cool! I just got a foil but have not tried it there yet. I know the sandbars pretty good so I may have to give it a try.

Man, you are sailing great. You bought the board waited too long for....I recently got the the Volar 130 (not the carbon -too many oyster shells here) with a different look (orange) ... & trying to learn properly sail the board. Question, where is this area? It's seemed shallow on your video. Looking for a good area to learn....shallow water, without a fast current.

Thanks! Nice to hear you have the 130, I also got the 145 in that nice pinkish color. Love it! The location is E.G. Simmons State Park in Ruskin Florida. You can sail 3/4 mile out and it is waist to shoulder deep depending on the tide. Only oyster are long the shore in the rocky areas. Sandy bottom everywhere else. Here is a location website for Tampa Bay. EG Simmons is in it. tbwindsurfing.com No currents to worry about. Scenic View and 75 cents and Emerson Point are great shallow places to learn as well. All on the website above. Hope that helps!

Oh wait. I gave you the info on my latest video. The spot above is not on the website. It is Indian Mound Park in Englewood Florida. It has shallows, deep spots, Oyster beds, some current and lots of boat traffic. Can be dicey there but it is the closest to where I live.
