'Surrender monkey' refers to Frenchie being French and how they have a reputation in the US of being cowards ever since WWII. Guess Firecracker likes the old timey insults.
Yeah, you have fun not being a true leader…. future of the world is literally at stake but YOU got personal issues… just go ahead, give in to your petty drama👍👍
…dude literally was walking away from someone dying of brain trauma and then turned back around to throw a beat down on him because the guy pretty much said “YO MAMA”… I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite so small and petty
@@briantidwell651 you act like Butcher is a good leader, when we've seen time n time again he is willing to throw everyone and anyone under the bus for HIS agenda. To save Becca last time, this time to save Ryan. MM stays on the job at hand and has EVERYONE's best interests at heart - he wouldn't manipulate any of the boys for his own gain. That's the difference, Butcher will always lie first if he feels he can manipulate someone into doing what he wants - he's only ever honest as a last resort (which is once again manipulative behaviour).
MM got mad at butcher for keeping secrets, but then he tells hughie that he doesn’t have to let him know anything cause hes the leader so hughie needs to just take orders.
Fun fact: Firecracker (Valorie Curry) was Kara in Detroit: Become Human who is a VASTLY different character. It shocked me when I looked at the X-Ray in episode 3 and realized it was her.
The hilarious thing about Black Noir is it is the same actor who has always played him, but now he speaking as the new Black Noir. They only hired a different actor to play the young Black Noir in the previous season.
The new Black Noir is how A-Train was in season 1, just giddy and eager to tag along whereas A-Train is now like Muaeve in season 1, just completely jaded and disillusioned from everything, which leads me to believe he’ll sacrifice himself this season fighting Homelander.
OMFG when one of the clone dudes looked up from eating ass and had schmutz all over his face I was fucking stunned. Didn't think they could outdo they're craziness from earlier seasons but they did it again.
@@gavinderulo12 I don't like watching a dude rimming himself on screen. Normal people don't like that. Only a teeny tiny amount of people like you enjoy that sort of thing. And the moment you get to trick or force other people to look at your fetish, you take it. Really says a lot about your character.
Butcher is not going to die. I'm pretty sure the virus created in Gen V will cure him of the Temp V side effects and leave him in better shape than he was before. I love The Boys but there is no real deal suspense or high stakes for The Boys because none of them will be killed no matter how powerful or evil the supe is they go against. They've gone up against Homelander, Stormfront, Soldier Boy and head popper Neuman and nothing happened to any of them. The only member of The Boys that ever gets hurt or "fatally injured" is Kimko because she is un-killable. No way were Firecracker and Splinter going to take anyone out. Frenchie is not a good person. He killed Colin's entire family and is choosing to have sex with Colin but viewers overlook it and feel sorry for Frenchie because he is "nice" and funny. Frenchie was murderer for hire and killed a lot off people on purpose. What Frenchie is doing is selfish and diabolical but because he is sad about being diabolical he gets viewer sympathy. It's very interesting.
If season 5 is the end of the show like I've heard (although we'll probably get more spin-offs) then I think we're gonna start losing main characters at any point now. I think Hughie and Starlight are probably safe. Homelander, Butcher and Victoria probably all die in the last episode or 2. A-train and Frenchie both seem to be living in regret and that could be setting up a self sacrifice. Also MM being the new leader seems like they might be foreshadowing something to happen to him with this narrative that he isn't cut out for the job, and Billy will step back in for a final go at Homelander in S5. I understand why the show would never risk killing off Homelander or Butcher if they want to keep going. losing either could tank the whole show, but if they're planning for the end, I don't think either make it. Especially since they've been introducing alot of the same concepts to the show that they had while wrapping up the comics. A lot is very different. I dont think it'll be that similar, but I think who lives and dies might still be the same, if not pretty close to the comics
Butcher's spent three seasons burning bridges. I think the cheesy movie is highlighting that everyone is at their lowest point of their arcs. Hughie's facing his mom, Annie is facing the realities of the movement she started, Butcher is facing the choices he made, MM is in the leadership role he's never really wanted, Kimiko can't get over her past no matter how hard she tries, Frenchie is having his past as pet assassin thrown in his face, A-Train's losing touch with the only thing he actually cares about besides fame, and Homelander is facing his mortality. Hoping Amazon doesn't drop the ball and wraps things up with people getting through it. It's the Boys, though, so dangling that in front of us and then killing absolutely everyone in season 5 is always an option.
I’m still not over the fact that the poll voted for the muted light tone, I still feel like it’s very dark. My vote was for the more brighter lighting.
I think it was more the shit all over buddy's face ⁵ and being spat out. At least that's what did it for me, personally. A bit of rimming is fine if that's what you're into, but poor hygiene is *not fine.* Wash your goddamn asshole, people!
"Surrender Monkey" as far as I can guess was Firecracker's attempt at a derogatory term. During WWII, the French surrendered to the Nazis. America basically had to rescue their country. Since Frenchie has a thick French accent, Firecracker picked up on his heritage.
@@winstonmarlowe5254 And if you watch, in that clip, groundskeeper Willy is teaching French to kids. The French flag is displayed in class and some kids are wearing berets. So the Simpsons are using the exact same insult taken from the original explanation I gave.
@@starbrand3726 "So the Simpsons are using the exact same insult taken from the original explanation I gave." My point was that that particular term was coined by a Simpsons writer.
@@winstonmarlowe5254 "Coined" means to invent or devise. The Simpsons writer simply borrowed it and used it in the show. I thought you were trying to say that the show created the term.
Homelander is the best man😂😂😂 These two never realised it that's why they never enjoy this show. And giving excuse for butcher that he is good guy.... Yeah ryt😅😅
They clearly enjoy the show and they never said homelander was not an entertaining character. There’s a difference between loving the character and loving the person that character is. People love the character of homelander because he’s an entertaining villain but hate the person the character is because obviously he’s an evil person lol
Watched the first 3 episodes underwhelming so far. Some repetitive and uninteresting subplots. I understand the importance of mental health but 80% of the cast is experiencing hallucinations, trauma, depression or some other form of crisis. It is consuming a lot of screen time as compared to events that actually progress the plot. And I am not American so, I don't have an accurate understanding of political situation, but the messaging is 🙊🙊🙊
Spartan and I tend to have the same reactions, and I'm not sure I'll finish season 4. For the first three seasons, The Boys was by far my favorite TV show. Now I'm forcing myself to watch each episode hoping it gets better.
Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing.
Too many people seem to forger that Butcher (as far as he knew at the time) chose to _murder_ an innocent baby in the first finale. Lost all respect for him then.
Ngl, I thought it was a direct callout since it's an Amazon Prime show, and the way they zoomed in on Tony Shalhoub, alas I was wrong; but The Marvelous Miss Rachel is a very literal callout to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Great show, but doesn't have the hype for reacts unfortunately. Rachel Brosnahan is the lead actress of the show. I assume that's why they called it that in this universe.
It was a direct call out. Rachel is the girl having her bat mitzvah. It is a themed celebration. She loves Mrs. Maisel and had her celebration themed that way. It's pretty common irl.
your reaction to the nude clone scene was funny as hell. when i saw it the first time i laughed so damn hard the entire building woke up i believe^^ i repeated the scene 5 times and almost died laughing it felt like. xD
Guys, the comedy of that human centipide thing is in phrase “it’s not what it looks like” 😂 I think you missed it because of too harsh gagging reaction and I absolutely get it, but I actually laughed at this one xd
Not saying that I like to watch gross scenes but my region either cuts out or blurs those scenes and it takes away the shocking element of the show. Hate that
I was watching these first 3 episodes with 2 other pals as a group for the first time and I had a much bigger laugh and wtf than when I was by maself🤣🙌
Hey Spartan and Pudgey or anyone willing to help I have a question! What can you use to source/record the movie or tv show you are watching for a reaction video. I tried recording using obs on prime and the screen was just black, no picture would show up. Also when using a iPhone as my camera, how do I separate the audio that it picks up coming from the computer? Do I have to have headphones. Thanks!
Obs works perfectly to record. Just select screen recording. For the audio, if you want to pick up only the audio from your voice, then yes you need headphones. They are using Bluetooth earphones throughout the reactions. If you have normal speakers, the microphone picks up all sounds, so it will pick it up too.
I have gone right off The Boys. First 3 seasons I loved it but in all seriousness what are they doing this season? Changing core character traits, it just feels wrong and odd. I instantly lost my desire to watch it so won't be following The Boys on any channel, however I look forward to your coverage of House of the Dragon. :)
@@Jackholiday1025 not particularly from this episode alone, but there’s been scenes with guys kissing in other things they’ve posted and he’s always made a disgusted face, it’s funny.
