The ÜBERSWITCHPÖRT │ Wolfenstein 2 Review 

Remember when Nintendo refused to port Wolfenstein 3D because it was too violent and had Nazi imagery? Oh how far we’ve come!

Gotta give it to Panick Button they managed to port another super demanding game with not much compromise. They really stepped up their game since DOOM.

One thing I forgot to mention, I do wish the game had more boss battles. Too many of the missions just sort of end without any real climactic moment. Not a huge problem considering everything else is so good, but it's worth noting. Oh yeah, also there are indeed indicators that tell you where damage is coming from, as you can see in the footage. The problem is that they're not nearly clear enough, especially in certain environments. They need to be clearer and take up more of the screen or else I don't end up seeing them.

One reason to grab the Switch version and play it in handheld mode: I have little kids and don't want to put it on the big screen in the living room while they are running around!

I remember being so disappointed in wolfenstein. A game with a hybrid Frankenstein monster and werewolf could have been so good. Too bad they screwed that up.

I've never understood why people think that Arlo is a puppet. Have you ever seen a puppet talk by itself. No you haven't! He is clearly just a unique human being and we need more of those kind of people in this world. Now would you question if a butternut squash is really a butternut squash or if Solid Snake was in smash bros brawl. No you wouldn't! So please, realize that Arlo never has been and never will be a puppet. Accept the man for who he is.

Althought the word "schlecht" was indeed translated correctly, your pronounciation made it sound like "schleckt" which means (he/she/it) licks or laps up, so.... Naughty Arlo!

We need a port of the dual pack of The Old Blood and The New Order on the Switch. Then I would actually be inclined to play them. Am I right Panic Button?

Wolf 2 is actually way harder to run on a switch than doom was because of the complex level geometry: the intense detail of these crumbled cities or the items scattered about on the submarine make it so that Wolf 2 is actually pretty cutting edge. The fact that the switch has such a stable framerate is amazing, considering that even the other console versions didn't have a stable 60. Even PC could struggle to run the game at launch because it lacked some optimization.

If you press down on the D-Pad it'll have a waypoint temporarily pop up if you're not quite sure of where to go next. Really useful, but also really nice that the game has faith in you to figure out where to go if you don't end up using it that much.

Who else would like to see Arlo review the Dishonored series? The levels are super open with tons of collectibles (Arlos love those), which are directly tied to the upgrade system (Arlos love skill trees). There's also a huge amount of choice when it comes to how you complete your objectives. Hopefully the games get ported to Switch so Arlo can review them.

A friend of mine let me borrow this game for a weekend... I’ve never finished a video game faster than I did in two days.

Gyro aiming had me at Ocarina of Time 3D. I had such a hard time with the slingshot as a kid, and I became a master in seconds with that game.

I been enjoying wolfenstein so much, your doom review won me over for getting it on the switch so thanks for being so informative :D, I been playing it in handheld mode and it doesnt bother me too much but you are spot on with everything else. and it has replayablility to go back and try the other person to see how itd affect the story as well.

Just finished the game, now im going to replay for the Wyatt story line.

Just got my copy for the switch in the mail today! Waiting for the 4 hour update to finish so i can play.

This game has a variable resolution. In docked mode, the resolution varies from 720p to 360p.

Calling BJ's team "his freedom fighter friends" makes this game sound like a more violent version of the sonic comic books

I could almost try to imagine Arlo playing wolf 2. The thought alone is an oxymoron.

I actually just bought the PS4 version of this game and.... yeah, I'm totally upgrading to the switch version when I can, as well as the sequel to this and doom when they hit the switch. such a good game, and I can only imagine how nice it'll be to have it portable.

Hey Arlo, you should really do a review on Hollow Knight since it released on the switch. It might seem a little bit late, but I think it's just a masterpiece of a game and deserves to get more coverage on more channels.

"it's hard to see where you're being shot from." as you say this there is a marker at the bottom of the screen, indicating you are being hit from behind. and then another one from the side, indicating you are being hit from the side.

Hey Arlo, one small thing: In German "ports" are simply called "ports" as well. So it'd be an "Überswitchport" :)

To answer your curiosity about frame rate in DOOM. I just got it for this past father's day and I have not experienced any major frame rate problems, even in handheld.
