Could you do a video on the Amex Blue Cash Preferred? I know it's just kinda "the Everyday but better" but I'm looking for a really good grocery and gas card as a student and I think it would be a good thing to add to my file to get out of having a thin file.

For a student, the blue cash everyday is good enough, annual fee is 0 and you get the actually pretty flexible 3% online shopping.

I’ve had it for almost three years and absolutely love it! It was my first move from my basic Discover card and it’s been great. Although I now use my AMEX Gold card for everyday purchases, I still the Blue Cash for all gas purchases, streaming subscriptions (and all other tech subscriptions like Adobe, Microsoft Office, iCloud, etc.), parking garages, and transit purchases. Btw, they don’t really tell you this, but once you want to use your cash back, you can have them mail you a check for that amount. Otherwise, they make it seem like you can only use it as a statement credit, but not until the next statement period and some other bs stipulations. Love AMEX and strongly recommend starting there to buildup loyalty with them.

Just applied and got this card 2/24. One step closer to the Citi trifecta. Plus, it seems theyve changed the intro offer language from $1500 in 3 months to 6 months.

Hey John, you are incorrect about the Citi Double Cash not having a sign-up bonus. There is one and it's spend $1,500 within 6 months and get a $200 bonus along with a 0% APR on balance transfers for 15 months.

Yeah I just applied and it had the $200 sub. It's been live for at least a few months maybe even since the start of the year because I was eyeing it for awhile hoping there was still a sub when I was able to apply for it and sure enough it's still there.

Not sure about Sams Club but Costco only accepts Visa per their agreement with them so this card & any other card not Visa wouldnt be allowed.

I don't know if it has that category but EV vehicles are dumb anyways lol Right now the freedom flex has I think 6% on EV charging

I don’t think so. Most credit cards empathize gasoline purchases vs EV charging so I would recommended calling to confirm before applying.

So complicated JUST to get a capped cash back for gas. Its interesting that hes promoting this card but trash the robinhood gold card which can give u 3% cash back on everything with no cap lol
