Absolutely!!!! Been suffering from Panic Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder as well as agorophobia and hypochondria for almost 10 years now. Tried countless drugs and therapies and found getting my vitamin levels in check and doing yoga has done wonders and I havent had a panic attack in months!!

Had a crippling panic attack today because I convinced myself that I was bleeding internally or had some sort of cancer forming because of my digestive pains and problems. Worst panic attack I've had in almost ten years.

The thing with me is that I first started worrying about my health when I didn’t have any symptoms or ANYTHING like that. Then after I started worrying I then started developing the symptoms.

Same with me...im taking meds but once its out my system i feel like i cant breath literally...then i feel weak with a paralyzing feel...making me think i av motor nueron disease ..its scary...until i take back the pill within 1/2 hour the feelings gone about 90percent

Identify it and put it back in the category from which is came from, I allways picture a library and over the time it goes away

Thank you. My hypochondria has escalated these last 6 months to become not just a daily disturbance but i almost can't sleep anymore without waking up 4 or 5 times panicking. I went on a date today and I had a big panic in the middle of our conversation because I somehow convinced myself my arm was feeling weaker. I can't believe how much hypochondria can really derail everything in your life. A simple headache is no longer a headache it is a sign you should start crossing things off your bucket list. Feeling light because you haven't eaten is now a debate on weather you need to call an ambulance. I get this thing where I panic when I fall asleep and it messes with my head because my mind is trying to fall asleep but I shake myself awake and I can't think for several minutes after waking myself up which obviously scares me even more. Sorry to ramble it is 3:45 am and I have been in and out of sleep all night but I'm glad I found this video.

I've been doing well managing my anxiety then on the drive home from work I felt an attack coming on out of no where and I couldnt control it. Then I started thinking I was going to pass out or have a heart attack. All I wanted to do was get home. I started getting shaky and bowels bothered me, then I felt dizzy and got scared even more because I live alone. I crawled into bed and turned on this channel and as I was listening I gradually got control of myself. Thank you so much for all that you do for us anxiety sufferers. Good to know I am not alone.

Found this video while going through a spiral. I looked at the bottom of my tongue for the first time in a while and now I'm convinced I'm in the beginning stages of oral cancer because it doesn't look like how it used to. Can't count the number of times a pain in my chest=a heart attack, a cough=lung cancer, or pain on one side of my body=a stroke. I'm so tired of living like this.

Videos like these have helped me so much. I started feeling health anxiety when i was only 9. I was constantly scared something was wrong with me, and whatever unusual things I felt meant I was dying. Even just a headache would bring me to tears being scared I had something wrong with me. I’m still only 13 now and I still have panic attacks and freak outs, but it just takes time and growth to understand and overcome hypochondria. To everyone reading this, things will get better. Getting out of ones self and observing those anxiety feelings and thoughts from the outside without judgement, lovingly, and thus dessolving and detaching them in the process. Great advice, thank you uuuu!!!!!

I am recovering from my anxiety. When I feel that sensation, I just think that its just anxiety. I needed to change my mindset and self talk. My anxiety set in gradually until I noticed it. I managed to prevent negative thoughts. The mind is so powerful and I needed to tame my own mind. Belief is so powerful. The body follows what we believe. When I believe that I am strong I become strong. Also, it helps a lot when we believe in a Supreme being who strengthens us and who will not give us something we cannot cope with.

Remember that serotonin receptors line our intestines. Hence the reason for the correlation between mood and bowel discomfort. Fix your diet and cure your health anxiety - there is an inverse relation. The worse your diet the worse your mood, the worse your health anxiety, the lower your serotonin levels present in your digestive system.

I got an unexpected abnormal result back on a brain MRI, and since then my anxiety has shot through the roof. Feelings of dizziness and thoughts of having a stroke, despite the result on the MRI not necessarily showing any risk of anything. Started to focus on my health as one way to cope, but I sympathize with people battling this as it consumes your thoughts 24/7

Nice video. I also watched your other videos regarding anxiety. It is true that we need to desensitize our body by just allowing it to feel that sensation. By doing so, we convince our body that there is really nothing wrong happening. It takes courage, but it's the key. We have to take courage.

Great Health Anxiety video as usual my friend. You're one of the few people on the web who provide such well organized tips to fight back Health Anxiety Disorder. I must say the worst part from this tenchique you mentioned above is the fear we people have that we're going to die from those syptoms, specially if we focus too much on those. If we focus on a heart beat, many of us will think "this strong heart beat will kill my fragile heart", "my stomach will broke by such pressure". I believe this is where the neutral sense you're speaking about has to come forward. If we managed to surive this, why we should worry when we feel those symptoms again? Old people with severe heart problems, many of them after a heart surgery, live a steady life, people with huge body stress symptoms manage to survive even if they fall to their knees by a panic attacks. We have to experience them and see that we shouldnt run away from them cause they just cant kill us, which is our ultimate fear. I suffer from HE for almost four years+, but I am fighting it back everyday, sometimes succesful, sometimes unsuccessful. Sometimes I laught of joy, sometimes I cry. The battle is harsh, the harsher since it's most likely the worst fear syndrome of all. The fear of death. It's not just a small agoraphobia & it has the power to trigger more fears as it grows. Sometimes I thrive, sometimes I have my setbacks. This is a war. I want to say to all of those who suffer from HE to never give up, to never back down, this is our fight, our personal fight. Dont surrender. Dont let the "monster" win, let it starve, shake it out, dont let it take away the child in your soul. We didnt borned in this universe to be the "slaves" of a shadow monster. There's a light in all of us, let's lean to truth & the reality instead of lies & confusion. Be brave, be bold, be a lightbringer. Cheers!

46 yrs old just started getting anxiety this year. From mid June been almost 24/7!! Had a couple attacks in April/may but went away after a few hours. Some days I’m convinced it is my heart then days like today realize it is anxiety. Your videos help a great deal. You truly have a gift!!

Very useful video. In life there are only 2 problems--mind and the body. To feel better reduce negative thoughts [overthinking]. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations when taking a walk, before sleep, in school, at work, when reading, etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Reduce negative social media, take morning sunlight walks and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I always had social anxiety on some level, but after my dad suddenly died I think health anxiety found me. Doesn’t help that mom developed agoraphobia when I was a small kid and that she got it initially because of IBS (fear) and eventually decades later got diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My sense of reality is tainted.

This is really helpful! I would love to know as someone who experiences hypochondria, but also has many health challenges. Can I still apply this? Do you have any other suggestions? I tend to go into panic with the sensations I feel because it is many things at once that feel very intense. I definitely agree I can tell myself another story. Would appreciate any suggestions. This is a game changer. I visualized someone pushing my chest causing my breathing to be off then I visualized them easing up and stopping. Now I'm so calm and breathing good

Okay what about when you hear something that you're scared of on TV or in conversations? The thing I'm scared of always comes up and it scares me. Everyone always talks about sensations. I don't feel sensations and panic all the time. Sometimes it's when others bring it up.

I have struggled with health anxiety since I was in 5th grade and one of my friends died from a brain tumor. It traumatized me terribly. I spend most of my life fearing cancer. I’m convinced I have it most of the time. I’m so over it! I’m 46 years old now. I want my life back.😢

When should we try this? Should we do it when we're feeling those things and are in the middle of an anxiety attack or just find any time of the day to switch these sensations on?

I’m severely emetophobic and every night I have this awful fear that I’ll throw up. I get psychosomatic symptoms and I swear it will happen. It’s been going on for 6 months :( I just don’t want to be scared anymore

I dont know but i think abt my stomach bowel movements and i think when i get those bowel movements as i feel constipated and all the gas moving from stomach and heart chest make me panic bsc of pain and i was having panic disorder bsc of all this but panic attacks are gone but i think of my bowel movements as m stomach feel bloated constipated and also unclear stools and evacuation pls help i have no fear of anxiety symptoms but i just need my bowels to get regular and free of constipation which make me anxieted

would you say its safe to do the same thing with heart issues that the drs says is from anxiety? i get PVCs at rest and all the drs sayis that i dose not stop or long enough and that makes me happy but heard to move past the feeling even more soo as they can change

New here! To anxiety that is. Anyone else not have anxiety til having covid? I feel all the fear around this disease just overtook me during my second week while feeling weak and fatigued. I convinced myself I had myocarditus. But no chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling...just my heart racing and shooting up cause I'm scared shitless. Lord help me. I can always calm my heart rate down so you'd think that'd be enough to convince myself it's anxiety...geez. what a worldwide.

Just had a really bad relapse. Found a benign dent in my thigh (fear of als) although muscle not affected it’s there’s just not a lot of fat in this one spot. I haven’t had a panic attack this bad in over a year. Thanks for the help👌

The body will create sensations that aren’t real when met with extreme fear and especially trauma from the past to the area. Like he said to accept these sensations makes your brain not see it as a risk. You got this

I'm a really bad hypochondriac. I actually have some health issues that can be easily fixed but I'm scared to take medicine for it. I need to take them so I can get better and prevent worse issues. I am seeing a therapist and definitely convinced myself that worrying is protecting me but it's not. I definitely had changed the meaning of how I feel. Im scared of going crazy and dying as well. And I'm in the process of rewiring myself. Thank you for this video and do you have any advice for me.

You’re not alone, the worst thing is when doctors make it so easy without explanation to tell you to try new medication like trial and error!! You come home and google The side effects and now you are in between a rock and a hard place😡😡 that’s where my anxiety kicks in!!

I have the same problem. I take my antibiotics and I’m almost done but yesterday I freaked out and had a panic attack, but at the time I was certain that it was the antibiotics that made my breathing difficult. It’s the worst... I really hope you’ll get better!
