Thank you for bringing attention to these issues! I've been an organic gardener for decades and have gradually removed a great deal of chemicals from my home including cleaning products, plastic wares, personal care products and foods. We're not perfect and it's a huge challenge to tackle all the things that expose is to chemicals. I've saved a lot of money on cleaning products and personal care products but spend a little more on makeup and food. Growing some food and having chickens for eggs helps too. All you need for cleaning is baking soda, castile soap, peroxide, borax, lemon juice, vinegar....simple things do an amazing job at cleaning.

Dr. Swan mentioned the organization called EWG, which stands for Environmental Working Group. The test and rate fruits, vegetables, and many personal products , such as makeup for harmful chemicals. I’m very conscious of what I put on my skin and EWG is helpful in making better choices. I’ve also learned to make some of my makeup at home. Nothing is 100% safe or perfect but our bodies have an amazing ability to take care of themselves if we do our best to support them.

@@mycozygardencottage I've wondered if there has been any attention paid to this new makeup practice of using air brush technology that has gotten so popular. What kind of substances are used with these airbrush applicators, and what are the effects of inhaling all of these products into our lungs. Any thought being given to unknown and possibly unsafe substances being breathed into our lungs. Are the particle sizes small enough to be taken into our bloodstream? Is this going to wind up being called "Brown Lung" just like coal dust caused black lung? What effects may be possible for makeup artists, beauty salon workers, people exposed to these airborne particles for extended periods every day? What are the particle sizes that are being inhaled, and how is this different, better or worse, than the usual particles inhaled everyday in our smoggy environs. How much of this "stuff" is inhaled every day. Will facemasks protect us from these airborne pollutants? Just what is in these substances, will they cause irritation, cause inflammation, obstruct our breathing capabilities from daily use?

@@thomasmleahy6218thats a real issue for sure since Talc is still one of the first ingredients in lots of the dust-producing pressed powder makeups..and most talc found to have asbestos..the salon workers are for sure exposed more, nail salon workers have been proven to develop terrible allergies to acrylic nail chemicals from breathing the dust and fumes 😬 the more we learn the more it seems like every single aspect of our lives and the shortcuts that humans created are coming back to haunt everyone..

In the U.S., 1 out of 37 children are now born with Autism. In the last 20 years babies born with birth defects has doubled. Gender Dysphoria rates are staggering. Factory farmed livestock are given synthetic estrogens in their feed such as "Revular", used to make the animals gain weight faster, these synthetic estrogens are ending up in the waterways, the animal waste is also used as fertilizer along with human biowaste from treatment plants for food crops. The majority of contamination areas are in the agricultural beltway, including Ohio, Michigan, Missouri. These states correlate with the biggest rise of birth defects, Autism and Gender Dysphoria. The "corn" that is added to animal feed is the byproduct from ethanol refining and corn oil refining and the Rapeseed from canola oil refining, same with soy, all of which are also GMO'S. Seed oils, corn, canola, vegetable and (palm oil), are extracted using the endocrine disruptor and toxin, Hexane. PFAS, Phthalates are in nearly humans blood and breast milk. Endocrine Disrupting chemicals have been associated with Gender Dysphoria and Autism, Autoimmune diseases, low testosterone, birth defects, and low fertility rates. There are also related to mental health conditions. All of the synthetic petroleum based bioengineered chemicals are toxins that are recycled by the liver back into the blood stream and stored in the bones. These are forever chemicals that are accumulative in both human and animal bodies. These chemicals are in municipal tap water, meat, dairy and every processed food. Flouride as hydrofluorosilic and hexafluorosilic acid, which are byproducts from the phosphate fertilizer and aluminum manufacturing industries are added to treat municipal water as cheap substitutes for sodium flouride, and are also used in the manufacturing of pesticides and fungicides. 90% of chronic illness and all autoimmune diseases are related to toxic processed chemical laden food. What to do: Distill your own water Buy grass fed organic, pasture raised meats and dairy. Grow your own veggies or buy local, small farm organics. Eliminate through diet and exercise the need for bioengineered petroleum based synthetic chemical pharmaceuticals that are used by the medical industry to treat symptoms of these same chemicals. It is cheaper to buy high quality foods than to buy or use pharmaceuticals. The quality of your life depends on what you put into and on your body.

Oh it's more like 1 in 20 are autistic - that's more to do with our species, though, since well-treated and socialized autism really just makes you eccentric, and, during times of disaster, tribes need people who think differently to have a shot at better surviving. The gender things, too, are just natural. The depression, birth defects, and mental issues, though - there are currently 3,000 to 5,000 identified chemicals that are not known to be dangerous, used in the US - but not known to be dangerous does not mean safe. It sometimes make me wonder how much the processed food in my diet has worsened my depression, or even caused issues for me - your advice is golden, but we need to go even further. We need to organize as communities, wipe these chemicals from our lives - we can't get rid of nearly as many as individuals, but the bigger we go, the more we can take back our body's chemical integrity.

@@blessedandbiwithahintofmagicyes, without people with autism phenotype we wouldn't have achieved hardly anything as a species. You need lots of people with obsessive special interests who don't enjoy socialising or get distracted by sports to build and keep knowledge. I’m trans, and i’m not offended by Dr. Swan’s hypothesis. It’s an empirical question about the possible biological causes of gender dysphoria. I’m as curious about the answer as anyone. In fact, I think if gender dysphoria was found to be a physiological disorder of sexual development, in a similar class to conditions which would cause someone to be born with ambiguous genitalia, that could increase the general public’s tolerance and sympathy for trans people. Of course, there may be different types of gender dysphoria with different causes, just like migraines. Finding out about the underlying cause of at least one type may inform potential treatment options. That’s not a bad thing.

@@alomaalber6514 No, Dr Swan did speculate in this interview about how biological issues might give rise to gender dysphoria, and how that relates to intersex. Dr. Swan and the host both opined that gender dysphoria may stem from a kind of brain restricted intersex in the sense that a male brain is feminized (or fails to be masculinized.) It’s around the point in the interview where Dr Swan talks about spatial reasoning ability. Perhaps you just missed that part of the podcast?
@villhelm
@villhelm Год назад
The issue with gender dysphoria is that a female who thinks she’s male for example actually had no idea what being a male really is like - in the same way that I don’t know what being a dog is like. A human does not have the neurological structure, hormone profile or brain structure of a dog and therefore can never know what it feels like to be a dog. A woman does not have the physiology, neurological structure, brain or hormone profile of a man, and therefore can never know what it feels like to be a man. Someone with gender dysphoria is acting what they THINK it feels like to be the other sex - but they can’t possibly know for the reasons mentioned and also because they have no comparative reference point because they’ve only ever been themselves. Gender dysphoria is an unfortunate delusional state, that some unethical fools are trying to treat with hormones and mutilation.
@crashcratershimmer6341
@crashcratershimmer6341 Год назад
@@villhelm I don’t agree. I have a lot to say, i hope you read it all. Yes, it’s true I don’t have first hand knowledge of what female physiological processes feel like as I do not have female anatomy. However, I can know what the inner mental lives of many females is like, and compare and contrast that with my own mind. For example, I only had female friends growing up. I tried to be friends with the boys, but our interests never aligned. The girls’ reactions and opinions correlated well with my own. Far better than those of the boys. And even the girls I was friends with noticed it. They would say things to me like ‘i just think of you as a girl’ and they would say it in a guilty tone of voice because back then it was still shameful for a biological male to be feminine. I would also read books about the lives of women that were written by female authors, And I would find myself relating to the female condition that was portrayed. Using theory of mind, i deduced that i must think similar to the girls because when we compare thoughts and behaviours, we are similar. If the result of me following my authentic instincts and wishes is me becoming very female like, then it’s reasonable to conclude that i might feel like a female. Just like if my authentic wish is to have sex with men, it’s reasonable to conclude that i feel like other people who wish to have sex with men. I would also note that there’s a body of scientific literature, including things like brain scans, showing that trans women (not autogynephiles) do have feminized brain structures prior to the introduction of hormone replacement therapy. There was even one which purported to show that the brains of androphilic MtF trans women reacted to male body odour exactly the same as the brains of androphilic biological females. Again, this was prior to hormonal intervention. And in fact, now that i do take female hormones, i do have a partially complete notion of what it’s like to be female hormonally. So, i think your view that trans women can’t know any of what it’s like to be a women is only true if you’re talking about someone who is profoundly autistic, and so cannot appreciate the minds of others, and you ignore a body of scientific findings. I also don’t think i’m delusional. I understand that i’m biologically male, yet I have a deep psychological need to live as an approximation of a female. There’s no misapprehension there on my part. That is an accurate appraisal of my predicament. And by the way, i started medical transition back when I was 15. I’m in my mid 20s now. I still stand by my transition as the best treatment for my dysphoria. I’ve never had a moment of regret. Finally, if you listen to all of what Dr. Swan says in this podcast, she does talk about how hormonal exposures in the womb can affect gendered brain activities, such as visualizing and manipulating 3d objects in one’s head, and how these hormonal exposures may be disrupted by certain chemicals found in plastics.

Alex was criticized,when actually he was reading a report from a scientist from a college,that studied the environment. When it was brought to their attention about frogs living near or in pools of run off water from a chemical plant. The frogs had many mutations, too many feet,or less limbs, lots of deformities. They also noticed that male frogs were actually mating with each other, which isn't natural. I remember that episode, like everything he reported on, it's stuff he and his employees searched the internet on. Not many people search for these things, they did for unless the news media think it's important to their agenda ,they don't report on it. But yet they're screaming since Covid, follow the Science. Well this frog thing was Science.

Like 80% of what I used to buy had chemicals with known endocrine disruptors (mimics, block, interferes with your body's hormones linked with cancer, infertility, weight gain, early puberty, etc) . I used Yuka to check all the ingredients (check names of stuff that was hard to pronounce). From basic soap, shampoo, lotions, hair/body spray, facial serums, so on and so forth the amount of chemicals was staggering. Also wanted to mention, I am a city girl and my husband a country boy from a farm. In our early life together in early 1990's being gay was not widely accepted and people still debated whether it was a choice or not. I was shocked when my husband admitted that sometime his father ended up with a gay bull. They wanted to only mate with the other bulls so they were not useful when it came to impregnating their cows which was the goal to increase herd size. This fact alone told me it was not a choice.

From years now I've been asking about the _WHY_ of transgenderism. I've long held the belief that one of the primary drivers behind the trans movement, and the massive push for "acceptance", is due to the fact that at the core of transgenderism are these chemical disruptors, and the powerful people and companies responsible for them. By pushing the narrative of acceptance, they can (for a time) avoid the question of _why_ this is happening. And if the hugely-influential chemical corporations are ever found to be responsible for it, they will have so won over the populace in regards to accepting transgenderism that there will be likely little, if any, penalty for them to pay. Even going after these nefarious corporations will be spun into some sort of "transphobic" narrative, a shield behind which these corporations will hide. This is one of the major shortcomings of the current culture war regarding transgenderism: nobody is asking the why/how questions behind it all. I do believe that much of the current trend is the result of social contagion, but also hold to the belief that there are a very real chemical/biological changes that have occurred in our youth in ways we don't yet fully understand. At the heart of that is likely the very chemicals being discussed in this interview.

Thank you for this information. I have been asking why the LGBTQ+ population has taken such an "uptick" in visibility in recent times. I hope more videos address the biological and sociological causes and get published. It's not solely a civil rights issue. This video on sperm count and environmental chemicals adds to the mix of answers.
@theopinionisthighqualityopinio

Not referring to causes, but the reason why you're seeing this subject 24/7 is because it's a huge social programming agenda. The subject itself is being used as a way to divide the population amongst ourselves, even more than we're already divided. It's a big part of the eugenics /depopulation agenda and in order for the programming to work, the message must be constant and repeated ad nauseum. The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations is the entity that came up with this agenda and the media, including so called alt-media, is responsabile for pushing it forward.

The LGBTQ+ population, of which I belong as a gay man. has taken such an "uptick" in visibility because we are demanding our human rights. We have always existed but until fairly recently we have lived in fear. We have been bullied and beaten growing up at home and at school. We didn't want to be different and no one makes a choice to be gay. Our numbers have not increased but we refuse to hide. It is your problem.

"I have been asking why the LGBTQ+ population has taken such an "uptick" in visibility in recent times." It's because being openly queer no longer gets you sent to jail or the nuthouse, and because being visible is necessary to change the way we are treated by society.

It seems intuitive to me that chemicals that modify fats and oils, which plastics are made of, would modify the fats and oils in the body, where hormones are made and stored. I've been talking about endocrine disrupting chemicals for the 15 years I've been a Certified Natural Health Practitioner making natural body care products and providing alternatives to plastics. Since these scientific findings exist, it is shocking that there has not been a worldwide ban on plastics in food packaging, body care and sex tools.

I`m a latecomer to this podcast (and website) I am just devastated after watching this. I knew things were going downhill fast, but didn`t realise how bad it was. I grew up in a different era (I`m 81) Our milk was sold in glass bottles, the bread was delivered by horse and cart (unsliced) , fruit and veges were sold, after weighing , in a paper bag. When supermarkets came into being in Australia (late 50s) you took the groceries home in a big brown paper bag. I actually remember when plastic bags came on the scene. Mum used to wash them and hang them on the line to dry, so she could reuse them. They were so hard to come by. I know old people are a pain in the "proverbial" when it comes to "the old days", but it is heartbreaking to see this change. Our health and well being and now maybe, even our existence, is being affected. This was a wonderful podcast. It needs to be seen by everyone.

I knew this is the reason. Gonna send this to my extended family who not only think climate woes are exaggerated but don’t think our government or businesses would allow toxicity to cause these issues from seemingly nowhere. So yes I thought this could be a problem especially since I had endocrine disturbances myself from the get go at 14. And as an adult after years of cystic fibrosis I ended up with estrogen dependent breast cancer.

@tishie42

Climate woes are exaggerated. Planet will shake us off like the fleas we are every few millennia. And the survivors come out and start again. Has happened many, many, many time. Gonna keep happening until our sun dies. We are trashing the place for sure, and leaving chemicals behind that the next cataclysm will take care of. Could be from the sun, could be wobble and another ice age could be a meteor, could be the pacific rim blowing at the same time. Could be anything, but the only thing we're doing is killing. We are already in a mass extinction, we're just speeding up the death on the surface. But until I see a ban on China or India and their waste, I'm going to continue to try and leave a small footprint and not buy imported from those places as much as possible. All those cheap clothes everyone loves are made by modern day slavery. But we're over here crying about long gone old school slavery in America. Until money collapses and ww3 kicks off, we're just waiting around to die. Every 10 years there's a new money maker grift about the environment and none of it has ever happened. Not because we stopped the bad behavior but because it wasn't all true. Based in truth,but then twisted for money.

So, my first year of high school was marked by change. The most significant of which was the onset of puberty! I grew an astonishing nine and a half inches before the summer of 1962. I had started the school year as a relatively small underdeveloped, … but properly proportioned twelve-year-old boy. Although I looked more like a nine-year-old! Of course, growing taller wasn’t the only change I experienced. Although it was the most noticeable. It wasn’t until I saw a photo of myself taken at a pool party sometime in early July 1962. The first change that caught my eye was that I looked tall and skinny! The second thing I noticed was my scrotums. They appeared swollen. My testicles had finally migrated into my scrotums which didn’t noticeably protrude from my groin like other boys until then. One of the insignificant differences I noted while I was growing up. The third thing in the photograph that caught my eye was my teeny-weeny nub of a penis. It had grown. It was no longer a stubby nub. It was longer and thicker, something that would please almost any adolescent boy. I was starting to look more like other boys! The last and most disconcerting thing I observed in that picture was my huge hands. They appeared disproportionately large! After looking at them and then down at my feet, I realized they also seemed unduly oversized. I now understood why Bobby’s mother and my grandmother complained about having to buy me new shoes nearly every other month. I suppose I should explain how I discovered the cause of my extraordinary growth. I entered the tenth grade at Nathanial Narbonne high school in September 1963. Sometime during the spring semester of 1964, I got tired of the physical education coach taunting me for being lazy. So, I ran for all I was worth with the other boys. I didn’t even make it halfway around the track before I collapsed. I was taken to the school’s infirmary, where I was examined by a doctor. He was an older man who must have been in his sixties. The old doctor nearly fell off his stool when he took my pulse. I had a relaxed pulse of 160. So, my mother was called, and I was taken to the hospital, where I was immediately admitted. After many tests, I learned that I had a malfunctioning Pituitary gland. This gland was the cause of my underdevelopment when I was younger. Why I was small for my age and why my testicles hadn’t properly migrated down into my scrotums! My now overactive Pituitary was also responsible for my extraordinary growth the preceding year. Anyway, … after a three-day stay in the hospital, I was sent home with medication. Because the doctors couldn’t correct my malfunctioning Pituitary gland, and my Pituitary caused my Thyroid to overproduce. They treated my Thyroid. After taking a suppressant for a while, my mother and I were given a choice. Either surgery or radiation to correct my Thyroid condition. We opted for the radioactive iodine treatment to destroy a part of my overactive Thyroid. I was given iodine in the morning and returned to school. By the 1964 summer break from school, my physical health was under control.

This absolutely needs to be pursued. I've thought this since the early 90s when I worked for an environmental 501-c4 in New Hampshire. Everything she is talking about has been discussed since the early 90s at least. It's wild to be in communities that are well versed in the knowledge on such issues and then later be in with the more general population and realizing how thoroughly and completely information can be suppressed, obscured, corrupted. I also knew in the early 90s about the frogs. That people thought Alex Jones as crazy for suggesting that was the craziest thing to me. How is it that people don't already know about this research? It's pretty common for it to take 25 years at least for information to become wide spread in the zeitgeist.
