I have this conversation afresh with my girlfriend and mom repeatedly (they forget): gf/mom: how do you remember that note for note?? me: I dunno, how do you remember the lyrics to Speak Now - Taylor Swift, a song you haven't listened to again in 10 years? The answer to both is listening to it on every bus/car ride and singing it out loud to nonconsenting strangers for weeks on end. Sometimes flexing by pulling out the earphones and putting them back in to see if I'm still in time. They usually are, I usually am.
