1. Venom - Black Metal 2. Gutted - Bleed For Us to Live 3. Riot - Thundersteel 4. Entombed - Clandestine 5. Merciless - Unbound 6. Sinister - Diabolical Summoning 7. Autopsy - Severed Survival 8. Destroyer 666 - Cold Steel For an Iron Age 9. Desaster - Satan's Soldiers Syndicate 10. Slayer - Show No Mercy
@@analogarchives Got a fun recommendation for ya... you probably heard already. Haha. MURDERSOME - CARNAL DEATH. Just came out. Sounds like Necrophagia meets Slayer.
What a great list, sir! Nice to see Nihilist, I had the pleasure to share a bus with Mr. Hedlund and Mr. Petrov for three weeks back in 2006. The Heresy/Concrete Sox split is very underated in the Earache catalogue indeed. I quite like the Thorium stuff, they sound a lot like my friends in Illdiposed. They were a cool liveband back in the early 2000s.
10 albums I listen to the most 1. Disgorge - Consume the Forsaken 2. Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind You 3. Deeds of Flesh - Trading Pieces 4. Judas Priest - Sin After Sin 5. Montrose - Warner Bros Presents 6. Witchfynde - Cloak and Dagger 7. Cannibal Corpse - Butchered At Birth 8. Ostrogoth - Full Moon Eyes 9. Alice Cooper - Killer 10. Mercyful Fate - Dead Again
Hell Awaits is pretty much flawless, agreed, Evil atmosphere drenched in black!! Pleasure To Kill is probably their most vicious agreed, great artwork! Welcome To Hell is awesome, brilliant songwriting! Love the songs on Bonded By Blood, but I don't like the vocals, prefer the album after. That S.O.D record is flawless, just smazing. U.S.A For M.O.D is astounding too!! Dealing With It fucking rules, love everything about it, no filler on it!! I need to give it a spin, been a while!! Piece Of Mind is a fucking belter, Just a masterpiece. Carnal Lettovers is pure dirt! I have that copy too, with the 7". Killer Repulsion cover on it too. Severed Survival is fucking perfection, Reifert is the fucking man!! I just never got into Candlemass. Great list Dennis! Looks like we'd have no problem having a few beers cranking the Metal!!
1. Suicidal tendencies (join the army) 2. V/A Welcome to Venice comp. 3. Dr. Know (this island earth) 4. Death Angel (frolic through the park) 5. Integrity (those who fear tomorrow) 6. Agnostic Front (cause for alarm) 7. Cro-mags (best wishes) 8. Possessed (7 churches) 9. Napalm Death (harmony corruption) 10. Boneless Ones (skate for the devil)

Just subbed love your channel man! S.o.d and m.od are 2 albums that blew my mind in 9 th grade I'm 49 now and still love the albums. Awesome channel bro! Eric
My playlists on Spotify are constantly being edited and refined. Its actually ridiculous.😂 Great vid. I don’t think I could attempt this by album, maybe by artist?
Amazing list. I know them all front to back besides that Nihilist demo album. Going to check that out tomorrow. I would love if you ever did a top ten SOV Horror or top ten Zombie movies.
Killer killer list especially when I would probably pick 4 of those bands in my own list but maybe not the same albums 🤘always nice to see you showing minty OGs😝
Absolute killer classics! Interesting to see Nihilist as opposed to Entombed or any other Swedish stuff. I mean, we all know they were pre-Entombed but their stuff is pretty underrated. It's funny, as a younger guy I started to discover the old school classic stuff around 2010/11 and I can tell you, even then Venom scared me, hahaha. Welcome to Hell is fantastic!
Venom's first four def have a weird evil aura about them , that is unique to them. Love Entombed but heard Nihilist first and always loved the sound a bit more, as it is just pure raw straight up Death Metal! Cheers!
I’ve seen this topic floating around a bit but yours is the first I’ve watched, think I might do a quick vid myself actually. Don’t wanna be too long in the tooth here so I’ll just say the 7 albums on your list that I’ve heard are absolutely killer (just heard S.O.D. for the first time a couple weeks ago but will definitely be going back)! I’ll absolutely be checking out that early D.R.I. stuff (only heard Thrash Zone so far when my buddy put it on), Nihilist (love Entombed but somehow never got around to checking out that earlier stuff), and both bands on the split. Been getting into some crust recently like the first Discharge and Sacrilege, good stuff for sure. Cheers! 🤘🤘
@@analogarchives For sure man, I always take notes of what people mention even apart from their actual lists, so Hellbastard and Deviated Instinct are gonna get some listens soon! Just filmed 2 vids myself, I cheated and did 2 separate rock and metal ones, I just couldn’t do a top 10 overall. Hope I don’t piss anybody off haha. Not that I care anyway
HOLY SHIT!! I had EVERY ONE of those albums too...except the Nihilist record. I sold them all years ago. I used to play them all the time when I was in my teens and early 20's. Great stuff you have there!
For me Obituary Cause of Death/End Complete, Death Leprosy, Godflesh Pure/Selfless, Coroner Grin, Samael Blood Ritual, Wu Tang 36 Chambers, Skinny Puppy Cleanse Fold, Ministry Land, Immortal Heart of Winter. Pretty much 90s high school shit for me- graduated in 97.
Fantastic bunch of records mate! Epicus...what a gem. Prob my fav Candlemass lp as well Dennis. Great to see Dealing With It in there too. Loved the vid man!
This is actually pretty personal. I really doubt that I can come up with 10. Butt fuck it. 1. Live The Storm - Disfear Yeah, I remember Spuds McKenzie & Max Headroom 2. Dog Man Star - Suede 3. A Storm In Heaven - Verve 4. Hell On Earth/The Infamous - Mobb Deep 5. The Years Of Decay - OverKill 6. Up To Our Hips - The Charlatans (UK) 7. An 11 minute ep: Can We Call This Life? - Tragedy 8. Live After Death - Iron Maiden 9. How Will I Laugh Tomorrow (When I Can't Even Fucking Smile Today?) - ST 10. Don't Break The Oath - Mercyful Fate 11.The Warning - Queensryche The real #3 should be Lightning To The Nations by Diamond Head (if I were being untruthful & disregarded my time here on Earth A.D..
Perfect selection, we have A LOT of all-time favorites in common. Met the Heresy drummer last summer and shared the stage with his new band, which was a massive honor. Great guy.
@@analogarchives He was in a bunch of bands since the Meatfly days (Geriatric Unit, Endless Grinning Skulls, etc.) His current band is called Blind Eye, it's nothing like Heresy though but more along the lines of later Black Flag. My band is called Bombardement, this is our latest record: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ehbqngIfCx0.html
You’re a new sub for me - your beard brought me in! You’re kinda like Pie Face with the scary voice music in the background! Ocean of Blasphemy- that’s a lot of blasphemy!!! I can’t handle a teaspoon of blasphemy. That beer can is super cool. I prefer darker beer. I’m a hater of shrink wrap but you do you - lol. I actually owned a Venom album - I think it was this one but I don’t remember the gold rings - as a teen. I wish I still had it. I don’t subscribe to the philosophy of speak English or die…ok, you’re in familiar territory with Iron Maiden. Carnal leftovers…weird title. Sounds like food for vultures but the word carnal gives an added meaning of sex. Disturbing. Speaking of disturbing- that Autopsy cover art! Hey, I just reviewed that Candlemass based on a VC recommendation like this. Thank you!
Really enjoyed this one Dennis, you got me thinking about my 10 now. Not seen any other videos on this thread as yet, so you're kinda the OG for me. If mine's not all Maiden I might have a crack of this myself...
Having soooooo much music that i love...i’ll pull old stuff but grab different things. Not sure that i listen to any one release regularly at this point. I’d probably have to make the list which bands i jam the most.
