Uncle Chael generously allowed Sherdog to pretend he lost to give the other fighters in the UFC hope. Otherwise Chael is way too unstoppable and everyone in his weight class would leave the UFC because there's no hope of beating him. You cannot challenge a gangster and hope to win.
I'm from Brazil, and I can assure you, Wanderlei gave an interview to a brazilian podcast and he admitted that the krazy horse's story is true. He said that he doesn't even remember what happened, he knew because his team told him when he woke up. So, no longer a mystery, it's true.
The greatest mystery in MMA is whether or not the old man at the pub that Conor punched was Tony Ferguson in disguise and that's why his chin held up so well...
Conor sets up KO punches. It's more skill than power and the shot the old man took was just a wild looping punch, he didn't measure the distance and just threw a shot. Thus the old man was still sitting on the chair.
@Rainbow Dirt I see why you call yourself dirt after that sad comment which included no punctuations. I think you are a 40 year old virgin with zero love from anyone in your life.
Silva actually came out with a book and said Bennett did in fact knock him out and it played out pretty much exactly how Bennett and Lindland has claimed. After getting choked out Bennett was left there and Silva continued his warm ups right next to him like nothing happened, suddenly Bennett jumps up and uppercuts an unsuspecting Silva knocking him out cold and he hauled ass out of the arena as the rest of Silvas team chased after him. Silva coach managed to revive him and told him what happened but told him he needs to focus on his upcoming opponent, not Charlie. Silva went on to win the highly contested bout
The Goldberg situation still pisses me off. He deserved a much more respectful send-off. And if he did something wrong, Dana would have talked shit for days, that's how he handles things very often.
Rumor has it Ronda Rousey was pissed at Goldberg's "Rockstar"- comment during her fight with Holm, leading Ronda to threaten to pull out of the Nunes fight at 207. The fact that Goldberg was fired a couple of days before UFC 207 sort of proves this
also i liked goldberg as support commentator, i think there is also something with him duing stuff, there is a video of dana giving interview to ariel and then he stops and see that goldberg half naked running thrue room and scream i am naked
My theory, Mike Goldberg was cut, because he told Ariel about Brock Lesnar’s UFC 200 Return. That’s why Mike was able to go on Ariel’s show when he was cut. And if you listen to the coverage of the UFC event when Lesnar’s return was announced, it’s clear Goldberg knew Brock was coming back when Rogan asked is this is real! It solves two of the largest mysteries and why the UFC just dropped Goldberg without any explanation.

I dont think Rickson Gracie had anything left to prove by the time UFC came around. He was also a very capable striker on top of being a Gracie jui jitsu black belt. I feel like the Gracie family really just wanted to showcase how effective their style of jui jitsu was
10 Tired MMA Jokes 1. Chael never lost a round 2. Kevin Lee and holes 3. Al Iaquinta and houses 4. Jeremy and "who?" 5. Tony and "that type" 6. Conor quotes (been a while for him) 7. Jones and eyepokes 8. GSP w hair 9. Ben's backfist 10. Dana and "friends".
I was in London at the time having a pint... Joshua Fabia was in Lee Murray’s crew and death touched Tito. Ortiz came to, but was never the same after.
Mike goldberg got canned because he wasnt a good commentator. He simply made noises, fed off of what joe said and even made false calls during live events. Joe stayed because joe is a good commentator, he knows whats going on, what the moves are called, what fighters could potentially do to escape vulnerable positions etc... Why was no one talking about how bad Goldberg was before he got canned? Any schmuck can get on the microphone and go "OOOOHHHH" after a knockout, i'm pretty surprised at how long he actually lasted in the UFC and not surprised they dumped him at the first mention of an actual good commentating team.
As a 2nd degree Royce Gracie JJ student, I was about to comment that there was no mystery in number 2, but after hearing everything, now I have a lot of questions. (My version was quote and quote the 'famous' one, about Royce's size)
Honestly, number 1 doesn't surprise me since Nintendo actually has a clause in their paperwork if youre hired over there, where they background check you and state that no Nintendo employees can be connected to the Yakuza.
Wanderlei was really knocked out before the fight, he confirmed the story recently in a interview for an brazilian website. His coach conviced him, that being knocked out before the fight was a blessing and that it would turn impossible for him to be TKO'ed.
My favorite part of the Tito is Chuck Liddell. Everyone there all said Chuck had his back against the wall dropping whoever came near him and that’s he’s the fighter that got me into MMA.
Dan had a fucked up knee. He would have fought if could, everyone knows that. And they didn’t conspire...and even if they did, who cares? Jon was literally and easily the baddest man on the planet. He could have done to Chael that day exactly what he did to Chael later. It made no sense for him to turn that fight down and not save that event.
Wanderlei admited that he was knocked out by crazy horse in the backstage before his fight. Look for it in the brazilian podcast FLow. It is in portuguese tough
