The 10 personality types are based on the traditional Ba Zi or birth chart reading. These are from the 10 heavenly stems of your birth date. You can check traditional lunar calendar or use modern apps (online or phone) to calculate your Ba Zi. The Day Master is the heavenly stem under the Day pillar. This represents your personality.
Each heavenly stem is related to one of the 5-elements, with either Yin or Yang personality. It also has a related image showing the special characteristics.
