Love how Dom gives off the vibe of a waiter trying really hard to find the perfect wine for you. He had some good suggestions too. I only got that Empire Strikes Back Vader last year and was blown away, though the different paint on the Obi-Wan... one lets it down a bit. Crimson Guard has me super tempted too, but I just don't have room for more army builders... yet. But, even though it's not a domestic company like Dom likes, I'm gonna say this until the cows come home: Sentinel Peter B. Parker. Amazing figure, and the reissue put it back on the map. If you ever get the chance to mess around with one, you should, you'd love it. Especially with your newfound love of toe articulation, because he just gets into some *amazing* poses.
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour a bunch of the usual Japanese sites got the reissue in a week or so ago. It's still available, but it's a pricey boy, even on those sites.
Boba did debut on the Star Wars Holiday Special that only aired one time because it was so bad (so bad its good). It aired between Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back.
first screen appearance of boba fett was the star wars holiday special but his actual first appreance ever was in a county fair in san anselmo, california in their county fair parade.
Picked the only two figs from the list that I own. Good choices. If you can't find a Hammond t rex you can get the collosal t rex which has limited articulation, but is 1/12 scale.
Have a friend who took the t-rex and painted it crimson and kept the spots but painted over them with obsidian. If Hasbro ever does a Devil Dinosaur it may not look as good as that one .
If the dinosaur counts as an action figure, it's gotta be in there. I got a less-nice (and cheaper) one for my small savage land shelf. Used one of the He-Mans for Ka-Zar. I needed something so Sauron looked less out of place and it's definitely a nice change up compared to the other marvel shelves.
Quite entertaining, I liked this. I'm thinking it should be an annual tradition 😃 I wanted to only watch a few minutes this morning to start it up and come back later but ended up watching it all. I'm a fan of the "fuzzy" or "soft" rules where you can switch one of the two banked figures until the end, as opposed to the harsh rules. More "torture" for Dave that way. 😉 Dave, congrats on making it to 30,000 subscribers!🤩 It's very well deserved. Also, I would have selected the same two figures as you if I didn't already have two Crimson guards. 😅 Dom, I like your channel, I'm subscribed to it, I think it has the qualities to grow, but you need to upload videos more frequently. Finally, Dave, for being able to quote lines from Jurassic Park 2 and 3, you have the geek cred and you deserve that Hammond T-Rex!
I ain’t gonna lie that Trex is caught my eye 👁️ in target 🎯 and I’m still regretting not getting it - cause I haven’t seen it again but attempting to make space now
I would pick Darth Vader and Rexy and funny enough I'm looking for both on the moment and now I'm going to look for the Boba Fett too cause he looks amazing
The power rangers lightning collection shredder is fantastic. Never bought a shredder before. But hascrap did it right. Then the marvel legends what if ultron baf and moon knight even better than anniversary captain America. As good as the amazing fantasy spider man 🕷 👨 😎
Hey Dave, just wanted to ask what is the marvel legends fb group that you are selling in? I know that I've seen you on one of those groups already but I forgot which one.
The first appearance of Boba Fett was in a parades in San Anselmo, on September 24th 1978 then in the holiday special animation. Also I felt that the obinwan tv show ruined both Darth Vader and Obi wan. Don’t ever watch it if you like either of those characters.
The problem is, neither character was made to be a hero or main antagonist in a tv show. They were greater parts of a whole story with many facets and characters that worked in tandem with each other. You can’t rip obi wan out of the story and try to make him Indiana Jones all of a sudden. The story wasn’t bad if you plug another character into it and start from scratch. These characters had their own lore and their own purpose in the Star Wars universe. That’s why I like shows like andor, the bad bunch and visions, where you have all new stuff in an established universe. I don’t need to know more about Han Solo but what about that unknown character who flew the second Death Star mission becoming a hero because he was a great smuggler pilot before the alliance days? What about a padawan who escaped from the Jedi temple and trained on his own using both aspects (light and dark) of the force? What about star killer stories? Cal Kestis stuff? What about the other characters that were in the Star Wars novels and comics? We haven’t seen Mara Jade yet and she was an amazing character! One of the best things about the book of boba fett was the introduction of comic book characters in show format. They were a great surprise and well made characters that were only basically fleshed out leaving room for way more storytelling. It was one of the best things in the history of Star Wars shows. That’s what is happening across the board in movies and television shows: no originality whatsoever and they are just rehashing old movies in a moneymaking scheme and LOSING MONEY in the process! If you gave that same opportunity to an up and coming talent you’re spending less up front with the potential to make a big profit on the backend. Most of new line cinemas movie releases in the 20th century were made on shoestring budgets and given to first timers and unknowns who needed a shot and they built a whole STUDIO off of it (up until 1994 they called new line the house that Freddy built). The movies out of new line were amazing but very basic and cheap: house party (basically a one location movie shot on shoestring budgets), Friday (same as house party), nightmare on elm street (all practical effects on a mid sized budget until part 5. All of the movies raked in millions of dollars though), the latter Jason movies and many others. They need to take this approach at Disney with not only Star Wars but many marvel properties too.
Here's a Valaverse/Marvel mashup I made last night: scontent-ord5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/327082757_1246321526236873_6378469061547909032_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=8bfeb9&_nc_ohc=2aH2W8MuZw8AX_HI_BQ&tn=-tmQa-isGE7jEQ45&_nc_ht=scontent-ord5-1.xx&oh=00_AfAD2evO7kUuxbuBod_0G6vRll55oSUm3RobOIvBHE24Kw&oe=63D2E257
Ha! Thanks John. But can you honestly say you can hear which one Batman says…? Pads or pants; it’s the same growl! And sure, I’ve NEVER played hockey. How’d you know 🤷♂️
