what happens if you xyz summon with a relay soul summoned monster? Xyz materials are not considered to be "on the field". So the monster can't actually leave the field. I tried it in ygopro and it does seem to skirt the duel loss clause. Also flame viper is the only earth pyro type monster that is under level 4 so it could have applications with rescue hedgehog or small world

An unfortunate report could honestly be used in Mikanko if the field spell is there

I wonder if you can use "MIstycal Relpanel" with "An Unfortunate Report", and give yourself a second battle phase.

The only thing I can think of that pot of generosity would be useful for is if you played a morphing jar and you didn't want to lose those couple of cards in your hand, or if it was your opponent that played the morphing jar, then you could essentially save 2 of your cards from going to the graveyard but that's about all I can think of.

For Zone Eater, Maybe have it so like... Zone Eater, upon being attacked, equips itself to the opponents monster, taking up their spell/trap zone. Maybe even have the owner pick which zone it goes to? It would hard counter pendulums like that. And then have it blank that monster. Neutralizes all effects, cannot attack, opponent can attack directly, etc, etc? That way they lose 2 zones, 1 front row and 1 back row? You could have it Burn slightly? That would make it a fun "Time-Win" Style danger. Or have it destroy the monster it is equipped to after a set amount of turns, maybe even returning itself to your deck? Idk.

It's a free special summon, and he utilizes cards like Zealantis Dragon and other cards to turn the monster he summoned FACE DOWN, which COMPLETELY REMOVES the effect of you losing the game when that monster leaves the field, even after that monster is flipped face up

For white hole, maybe add a from hand effect. Like you can activate this card from hand if you control more monster than your opponent. I also like the negate from destruction effects till the end of turn. It would then turn into a quirky side deck card if your opponent just happens to run dark hole.

For white hole an easy boost to it would be and search out a dark hole from your deck then add it to your hand or a draw one card would be an easy tack on to make it an alright card, gotta remember your opponent is probably going negative if they are using it and aren't subtracting from your cards.

Gryphon’s Feather Duster deserves a mention over similar cards like White Hole specifically because it was first released in the Pegasus Starter Deck, while Harpie’s Feather Duster was a video game exclusive promo for years - and its following printing being a tournament pack promo. It wasn’t widely accessible for like 9 years after its first printing. At least every kid had Dark Hole! We could have actually had a useable Super Rare instead!

My "improvements"... Pot of Generosity: "Put two cards from your hand on the bottom of your deck. Draw 1 card." Still bad, but trade a couple of redundant cards to dig deeper. Relay Soul: "Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. While it is face-up on your the field, you take no damage. When it leaves the field, take half of the damage you would have taken while it was on the field." Enervating Mist: "When this card is activated, draw 1 card. Your opponent's hand size becomes 4." Zone Eater: "During the next standby after this card battled a monster, banish that monster face-down." White Hole: Meh? Flame Viper: Yup, make it a level 1 fire. The Humble Sentry: "Reveal your hand, choose 1 card and shuffle it into your deck. Gain 3000 LP." The counter the minus from Delinquent Duo that costs 1000 LP, just make it a massive LP gain for a -2. Cold Feet: "You, your deck, your extra deck, your hand, and your graveyard cannot be affected the effects of your opponent's spell/trap cards." Keep your opponent from messing with your stuff that isn't on the field. Still bad, but it's okay. Larvae Moth: Same summoning condition for it, but add "You can tribute this monster on the field; during your next standby phase: special summon one Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth from your deck." An Unfortunate Report: "During your opponent's Main Phase 1, if your opponent controls 3 or more monsters: it immediately becomes the battle phase. All monsters your opponent controls are changed to attack position and must attack. Then there is a second battle phase and all monsters your opponent controls must attack. It then becomes Main Phase 1 of your opponent's current turn." Decks with big dumb beaters can stun an opening play by forcing the opponent to attack with their starter monsters, losing them to your beatsitcks. Second battle phase to take out their floaters. Then they get to play their turn.

For jar of generosity i used it in duel links with my shooting star deck so that i could put tuners back into my deck to help my odds using shooting star dragons effect.

I forget the name but there's this flip effect monster that once its flipped it destroys Swords Of Revealing Light, and once you do you can conduct your battle twice in your turn lol the last effect is cool but needing to destroy Swords is dumb as hell 😂

The best possible use for Unfortunate Report that I can think of would be in Reptilianne (if they ever got better support/monsters). Ideal scenario being, reduce all your opponents monsters to 0 Attack, have one or more moderate to high attack Reptilianne's on the field, activate Serpent Suppression (opponents monsters with 0 Attack aren't destroyed by battle with Reptilianne monsters), plus whatever card(s) for the opponent to attack with all their monsters for the turn. Combo that set up with Unfortunate Report, and bam, your opponent has no choice but to run all their 0 Attack monsters into yours TWICE. Any monster effects that revolve around battling aside, would be a whacky way to force your opponent to wipe out their own life points for a game.

Here’s how to fix Zone Eater’s effect: A monster attacked by this card will be destroyed during the end phase of the fifth turn after the attack, at which time you win the duel. If the monster this card attacked leaves the field, you win the duel. It becomes a weird cheesy win condition to punish your opponent for not playing around Lightning Storm by putting their monsters in defense. It’s still easily negated and dealt with, and if your opponent can use the monster it attacked as Xyz material, it doesn’t do anything. But it at least creates a countdown that feels meaningful, because I don’t think any other five turn countdown effect COULD feel meaningful.

Humble Sentry can be useful if you've got Spec from Deck spells or effects, but have the target in hand. Only situation I can really think of.

Samsara Lotus. Can summon itself from grave in attack position in the end phase but has 0 attack, and if it's on your field on on your standby phase, you take 1000 damage. Just a terrible effect and stats compared to other cards that can summon themselves from grave.

How about this for zone eater, so that it eats zones up to 5 times. Effect: At end of battle phase, if this card attacked: send it to the graveyard. when Zone eater attacks an opponent's monster, that monster gains the following effect: During your standby phase, choose 1 or 2: 1. banish this monster, the zone this monster was on cannot be used. 2. choose a main monster zone on your side, it cannot be used and banish any monster in it.

For White Hole, rather than being basically a defense against Dark Hole, I would change it to do the opposite of Dark Hole, or at least like a sort of counter or something close to that. Basically, instead of destroying all Monsters it would be something like "all Monsters destroyed by card effect are Special Summoned to your side of the Field". It sort of plays off the dynamic of Black Holes eating everything and White Holes ejecting everything, so in that sense White Hole is returning anything destroyed by Dark Hole (or any card that destroys by effect like Dark Hole does). Zone Eater I could see still having the destroy your opponents monster 5 turns after the attack, but add onto that that the Monster attacked by Zone Eater can't do anything (attack, defend, change position, use its effects, etc.) and can't be removed by anything until it's destroyed, basically making it a dead zone on the field until Zone Eater's effect destroys the monster. I don't really have any ideas for the others beyond that that are coming to mind, but I think these effect changes could make those cards more useful.

If zone eater has to keep the fifth turn thing then no problem, change the effect so that it destroys the monster and makes that monster zone unusable for five turns.

Zone Eater. Add "This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. Negate all battle damage done to you when this monster battles." Or whenever is destroys a monster, it permanently removes the monster zone that the monster it destroyed was on.

One use from Pot of Generosity aside from playing this in Infernity is to use it on Monsters that can only be special summoned from the Deck.

I'm pretty sure you can just use Relay Soul'ed mons for XYZ summons, because they technically don't leave the field. Still not good, but I'm *SURE* something stupid, fun, and powerful could be made with it under the right workshopping

White Hole's fix should be making it a hand trap and when your opponent activates a 'hole' card, you can apply the affect to them. If you can't, their effect is negated

I would fix Zone Eater like this. If this card is sent from the field to the graveyard or banishment by your opponent's card. Your opponent must send all cards from their hand and field to the graveyard after the 5th turn when this effect resolved.

I suggest that Zone Eater's effect should be to banish all the cards with that card name from the deck, hand, and graveyard face down in the fifth turn after attacking that monster.

Pot of generosity + future fusion is a combo I used before the errata of future fusion 😢

For zone eater, i would have it not be able to be detroyed by battle and no battle damage involving this card then any monster attacked by this card cannot be used for tributes or extra decks monsters while it's on the field and its effects are negated. Then you can leave the 5 turn effect

What if you play Relay Soul and use Reverse trap as a response? So wouldn't your opponent get the monster and than lose if that monster leaves?

The relay soul monster can be kaiju'd also that last card could work well in yubel if you have nightmare pain on field

Zone eater is an easy fix. For the 5 turns before being destroyed that monster cannot be used for a fusion, synchron, xyz, or link material. Problem solved.

This is a good thought experiment, but I think you guys are limiting yourselves. Remember, it just takes one mechanic to turn defunct, "useless" old cards into menaces. So with 11:58 (The Humble Sentry) imagine this: we DON'T fix this card, instead, we make a new archetype based around effects like this. Let's call our archetype "Trickhand". "Trickhand Sleight" when this monster is revealed in your hand, you may special summon it from your hand or deck. So you use "The Humble Sentry" to reveal "Trickhand Sleight" and choose it to return to your deck, which doesn't matter due to Sleight's effect to special summon itself from the deck, thus turning a terrible effect that is basically a -2 into a net 0 or plus (because let's not kid ourselves, Sleight would totally be a starter to get your plays going). Also, I know Vanquish Soul revolves around card reveals, but those are as costs in order to activate their effects. Whereas with "Trickhand" revealing cards is just the start of their effects, you would trade anonymity for power. If anything (depending on the stats of the cards) "Vanquish Soul" could be the perfect partner/engine for "Trickhand" since you could essentially be activating at least 2 effects (fulfilling the VS trigger while also satisfying the TH condition) with 1 resolution. Also it could work both ways with some "Trickhand" effects working when your OPPONENT reveals cards, which could punish (among many things) searches. But yeah, that's how I would "fix" "The Humble Sentry" lol (tl;dr - just make a new archetype that can actually play into the "bad" effect)

5:40 finding decent images of YGO cards can be a royal pain in the butt compared to other TCGs! I'm not really sure why, it just kinda is. (granted, my main other experiences are with MtG, Pokemon, and Hearthstone, but for all those, there's decent-to-great images available)

Cold feet and humble sentry were made intentional bad, as a joke in regard to their Origin Cards

For the mist trap card. There's a card tht limits the hand to 4 or 3 already. Also guys should duel on MD with some of these cards or other bad cards

Enervating Mist is meant to counteract Infinite Cards for Infinite Cards makes it so both players have no Hand Size Limit

I think all this is missing the point of these cards. They aren't meant to be used for Advanced play or any subsection thereof but just for fun (maybe in the form of custom formats, potentially with different win conditions).

Zone Eater Can not be destroyed by Battle. A monster attacked by this card cant leave the field for 5 turns. When this card attacks, destroy that monster after 5 turns and inflict damage equal to that monster's attack.

They should make a Mystical Refpanel deck, where you activate these bad spells and force your opponent to use these terrible effects.

Relay Soul Normal Trap Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. While it is face-up on your field, you take no damage. When it leaves the field, your opponent wins the Duel. This monster cannot be tributed and is unaffected by your opponents card effects. This monster can only be destroyed by battle. Enervating Mist Continuous Trap Your opponent's hand size limit becomes 5. Whenever your opponent draws or adds cards from deck to hand above their hand limit, look at your opponent's hand, select 1 card in it, and return that card to its owner's Deck. Zone Eater WATER Level 1 Aqua / Effect ATK 250 DEF 200 A monster attacked by this card will be destroyed during the End Phase of the 5th turn after the attack. That monster cannot be tributed and is unaffected by card effects. It cannot be used as material for the summon of a monster from the extra deck. Its effects are negated and it cannot change its battle position. It cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent you from attacking directly. White Hole Normal Trap When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect that would destroy a monster(s) on the field: Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by that Card’s effect. At the end of the second Battle Phase destroy all monsters your opponent controls that made an attack this turn.

I have a weird outview on "bad cards" cuz like, By default, unless a monster literally does smth bad for you with no benefits, i think it's already better than a bad spell that does nothing, because a monster can AT LEAST be summoned and be a body, you cannot say the same for pot of generosity, it has no upside pretty much whatsoever, it's just a downside and nothing else. Idk i think pot of generosity is the worst card lol

Temperance of prophecy, in an XYZ deck that wants to make rank 5 and 7 as fast as possible. This card stops you from summing an other high-level card after it resolves I don't get the point of the card

Morinphen is the worst card of all time. It is a level 5 Dark Fiend Vanilla monster. Dark Fiend is an extremely common pairing and at 1550 attack, it can't even be brought out by a Mystic Tomato

Relay Soul wouldn't be as bad in Magic the Gathering. But that's me because you could give it to your opponent and then remove it from the field and they would take the loss trigger. If it worked like that in Yu-Gi-Oh then I could see it technically seeing some play. However it doesn't so it really isn't that good.

Make white hole mk-2 this will reflect the effect of any hole card on any monster/s on your opponents side of the field

pot of generosity was probably made to counter in a way burn or mill decks, still very bad and quite useless cuase even at the time 2 cards wouldn't be enough to coounter them but yeah. the only way I see it being decent is if they make a monster that has an attack equal to how many cards you have on your deck, like a reverse gren maju, and even then that monster would only be good in an old format, unless he has other effects.

I may not have a Personal Top 10 but if I did on Top of that List is Watapon because I always saw that Card as a Copmelet Trash of a Card to the point of WTF Why was that Card Created in the First Place? Anyways my easy Fix for that Parctulare Card is Just Simply Also Add in the Effect of if Watapon is add to your hand other then Normal Drawing it, you not only get to Special Summon it but also you would be Protected From Not Only Any and All Battle Damaged But also Any And All Effect Damaged Until Your Next Turn. See There Easy Fix.

Good, Larvae Moth is here. Just wanted to be sure. Virtually any other card can be circumstantially useful in at least a very niche scenario, but Larvae Moth is just the absolute worst card ever printed A semi-nomi with 500 attack and even less defense, no effect but doesn’t even get normal monster benefits, is just a level 2 insect earth monster with plenty of better alternatives, takes a MINIMUM of three total turns to summon with its own method with no way to speed it up, and is literally 5 times worse than the card it replaces Utterly nothing even circumstantially redeeming about this card Idky it even exists, it originally was supposed to be the moth that goes in the Cocoon, not Petit Moth If they wanted an intermediary level between it and Great Moth they should have just created an 1800 attack version

An unfortunate report WOULD work in a Unity deck. But if you are not dealing 8000 damage in reflect battle damage in one attack your Unity deck is not winning anyway

i fell like NO monster card should be on the worst cards list cause ALL monsters can at least attack and block and can possibly win a game but of course that'd make the list a little more boring to just have spells and traps. but yeah if you wanna be totally accurate, all monsters, regardless of any effect or lack thereof, by nature of being monsters keep them all off the list. especially considering the severity and number of all those stinky spells and traps my god lol
