Phantom Ganon and the Gloom Hands scare me 100x more than lynels. But that's also because I ended up spending like 5 hours just dying and reloading over and over again in botw to learn how to fight lynels. I faced my fear
@@NColt-ov9pb screw durability, theres a lot of weapons out there. You can use flurry rush + headshot/mounting in one round of attack yielding way higher damage. But of course perfect parry is easier for some people
I love how clever the developers got when it comes to Zonai devices and Lynels. They hardcoded the Lynels to automatically destroy any Zonai device within their reach. 😂
I'm absolutely LOVING the game but if you ask me thats poor game design. clever game design wouldve meant allowing the player to use every tool at the player's disposal, devices included, and just design attacks that are tricky and devastating enough to reach and damage the player piloting the machine. By designing an enemy attack that just disintegrates any device, stopping the player from using an integral part of the game's system, they're basically admitting that they cant design an enemy that can be challenging without temporarily changing the game's rules.
@@zangbang9886 bruh, the alternative is a 100% effective device that is objectively the best combat solution in all scenarios, which is much much worse
@ZangBang Did you watch the rest of the video? It's not that lynels can break it anytime they wish, it just happens coindicentally Probably because of illegal spacing that happens between hitboxes when they're both moving
The first lynel i encountered in totk was in the depths and it had armor, so it had the extra gloom effect on it with the stone armor and it looks terrifying
@@jaromino77 oh my god same is it the white maned one? I had to leave and come back with 15 bomb flowers to break the armor then I went ahead and actually fought it normally. The armor makes things so much worse
Keese eyeballs can destroy a gleeok especially if you have a multi shot bow. Worst case 20 eyeballs and 3 30+ damage weapons and you have gleeok cheese. With a 3 shot and a 60+ weapon you can nuke them in 6 shots
Get a bow from Fanny Ganny and max out your hearts. With a dozen or so Keese eyeballs any Gleeok is trivial, even the Gleeok Den. The only hard part is making it up there for the final phase so you're still in range to shoot. The bow is the only Fanny Ganny weapon that doesn't inflict you with Gloom, by the way. Broken AF weapon
Get good at flurry rush. For the stronger ones like the silver and white-maned, watch for their explosive attack and GTFO when you see them charging it!
you can defeat him he only destroyed it because it was made of the green zonite it wasn't made of the real materials zonite materials evaporate when they fall off so that's why the entire thing disappeared when he hit it
There might not be any voiceover in the video, but i can just imagine a Finnish voice going "Welcome to the Hydraulic Press Channel, and today we're gonna have an excellent video" at the start lmao This was really fun to watch xD
You one of my favorite things about this game is just seeing how creative the zelda community can get and hearing and seeing other's amazing experiences! It takes a very special game to achieve just that.
The way the video gets stright into the action with no commentary and the choice of generic music in the background makes me feel like I'm back in 2013. Amazing content
Me too. I want to get this game, but thanks to steam sales and the black Friday Nintendo sales I haven't paid 60 bucks for a game in years and I can't convince myself to get it.
@@danielgrezda3339it's 70 dollars. Glad you don't support anti consumer practices (Game is Fun though). Use Yuzu/Ryujix though, as it's working flawlessly
@@chillstoneblakeblast3172no the emulated versions are still far, FAR from actually being stable. Prob gonna have to wait a few months for a playable emulated version
This stuff is so cool to watch. I will never do things like this in the game as I consider them too time-consuming and I am not that creative (exploration and discovery are my things), but it is so fun to see them in action.
Same here. What sucks is you can't save what you build. That would've been awesome of they have us like 10 slots to save our favorite creations. I don't waste my time building stuff neither cause if I die I gotta waste my time building that shit again. I even gave up building simple cars or riding horses for that reason. I just run around the map instead with the speed elixirs active.
I have been stomping through this entire game until I fought my first Lynel. They really just humble you. All your double durability equipment and and 50+ damage weapons just dont mean much to them.
Perfect guard really wrecks lynels... shield parry their attack, shoot them in the face with an arrow, hop on their back and spam attacks. Repeat. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the timing for perfect guard in TotK is a lot more relaxed than in BotW. And attacking from the Lynel's back doesn't reduce your weapon durability.
I love making these contraptions to cheese the Lynels but they’re also my favorite enemy to fight so I’ll start fighting them head on once they make the contraption disappear. BotW Lynel farming made them real easy this time around.
I cant get enough of the main theme + really bizarre contraptions meme vids I’ve been seeing after beating the game; literally they’re all just giving the contraptions dramatic effects due to the main theme music playing in the background, bonus pts if they edit videos towards the beat drops 😂
Thank you! My early focus has been on travel gates. So I've unlocked all towers (assuming there are no secret ones off the map), many shrines, and some of those lightroot spots. But I'm still only at 4 hearts!
@@bofa722 Eh... when I fought them in the depths coliseum, I wasn't quite prepared and tried fleeing the arena to eat some meals. Their arrows literally honed in on me and took my remaining hearts, lol.
I disagree, while those certainly help, it's more accurate to say that this is what happens when the game developers aren't American, as for some reason the entirety of America's gaming industry is capable of nothing more than refining what others have already done. They never come up with new ideas for the game it would seem.
@@greatwanna I don’t even know what kind of lynel it was because depths, but it’s only successful attack had hit me like a truck. Further emphasizing me to gtfo there.
Nintendo: totk is now the hardest installment of the Zelda series but we have added a build your own contraption mechanic and we can’t wait to see what players make. What that the players make:
I had stop look up to see if this was just a mod or the actual game. Such drastic change from.what the game use to be and I love what I see. I'd buy the Switch just for this.
OMG I saw him, he has a fucking rock armor!!!! I killed soo may of those bastards in BotW I asked my wife to see me when I first tried one in TotK. What an embarrasing experience, I tried SO MANY times and everytime it killed me with a single hit. I've been gearing up before I try again, but they seem inmortal to be honest.
I remember my first lynel encounter in botw. I tried to run away, and I thought I suceeded. I mean there was 40 ft and a massive wall between us. Then 3 arrows descended from the heavens and merced me.
Man they did such a good job in botw and took at making Lynels formidable. Only complaint I have (and this is botw I haven't gotten totk yet) is that fighting a Lynel is like 100x harder than calamity/dark beat gannon. If you have an ancient shield you can beat ganon without trying, lynels aren't shortcuttable. Yeah you can use an ancient arrow but that only teleports them out of the world, you don't get their loot which is the whole point in killing a lynel.
THIS IS BRILLIANT! Great way to farm monster parts for weapons, or I guess if you took it underground, great way to farm the enemy bases with zonaite deposits. Either way, nicely done.
I can't wait to run into my first Lynel in this game and realize I've lost all the muscle memory I had from fighting them in BotW. Also, I dunno whether I'm more surprised by how ineffective this device was against Lynels, or how it just bonked that silver Boss Bokoblin in one squeeze. Or was it already damaged?
I'm not sure people understand how groundbreaking this game is. I mean, it contains tropes that have existed for a while, but it really is contributing to what games can be in very novel and special ways.
Yiga cars at their bases in the chasms are covered in them. Considering the walls are made of the same stone plates found down there, I'm guessing that's where the device was initially built before being made into a blueprint.
They’re actually quite easy when you learn their pattern. You can back flip to flurry rush a lot of their attacks and for the slam attack if you parry you can get some damage in.
I didn’t really register them as mini bosses when I first encountered one so I was just like damn wtf why is this enemy so strong lol. I don’t remember playing BOTW it was so long ago so I forgot most things
There are guides from BotW that show the art form that is Lynel hunting/farming. Perfect parries are the key method leading into a headshot stun then ride them and wail away without losing any weapon durability (only bow). Once you've gotten the timing down they are an easy fight, just takes a good amount of practice for most folks.
This is mindblowing. I mean I've seen bigger and more inventive already, but wow, just imagine what kinda crazy doomsday machines people will build over the next few years... How many objects can be ultrahanded together? Surely there's a limit for memory reasons?
There’s definitely a limit. In the shrine where you have to attach a bridge to a wheeled dolly to get it across a lava pit, I got a “can’t attach any more objects” message when trying to attach something else to the dolly.
@@nisselarson3227 21 objects is the maximum. However, I am pretty sure there are some tricky things you can do to get around this. I tried shooting an arrow into something, then attaching another thing to the arrow. It turns out arrows after being shot can't be attached.
