Word of advice: Go into the system settings and go to power saver settings. Make sure your vita doesn't go to stand by for 30 minutes. I swear I had to restart the update assets several times because of this.

The set up of retroarch is the real challenge. Thank goodness for the Crazy Mac lite torrent, all roms , front ends and art work, fliers etc in one beautiful download

I have my old vita collecting dust. I was in the market for a retro gaming handheld I might make this a weekend project for myself. I have a few roms I like to run on pc. But I am all about being a potato and playing in bed This is perfect for me. Thanks for the tutorial. I loved how you broke everything down.

Thank you SO much for this. I don't know if you are still reading comments on this video or not, but your Vita guides have been extremely helpful. I normally have really bad luck with getting stuff like this to work. But the only problem I had was not getting the box art to show up in retroarch. I consider that a win. Loved the video.

I wish I could remember what kind of retroarch I installed those years back. What I mean is that my interface looks 10thousand times better than this version. Not only I have box art, but also emulator art, general art in the background, I can divide everything via categories (beat'em up, platform, arcade) not only by console type etc etc. It was some sort of special retroarch scripted by a separate team of people . Ran into an issue with SD2VITA formatting the card where it rebuilt the database and basically hid or uninstalled the homebrew apps; but I think this mightve been a personal error because i didn't know my Vita type. I basically just reformatted the whole vita after that, but the process is so long between videos that I think may put my Vita away for a while, move onto something else, and try again when I have the patience. Your videos are great and well-spoken and concise and I'll definitely review them when that day comes! You earned yourself a subscriber!

No matter where I put the optional ps1 bios files, if I load something like Tekken 3 it always says bios not present, use will improve compatibility, Shell is files and folders are exactly where they need to be, no duplicates, the md5 is correct it just won't see the files, extensions correct, etc.

If your snes games are still slow with overclock, use an older core. FFVI and Mario world rom hacks needs the 2002 core for full speed with no audio pops :) Excellent video, thanks!

Is it important to have a SD2Vita storage first before doing copying ROMs? even with adrenaline psp ROMs and pkgj. i only have the original 8GB vita storage.

They are working on a PPSSPP port that uses the native hardware and upscale. Still too early but it is being worked on. Truly the Vita is the ultimate PSP

I scanned the folder but it doesn't create the shortcuts for the systems. I only put one room (mario all-stars) in the rom folder, I assumed it would create a SNES shortcut but it didn't. Any ideas?

I figured out a work around. You can manually extract the files with your PC and just copy the folders over the existing assets and overlay folders.

The great people from PSVita at 2AM told me about this. Maybe someone can lend a hand here. I bought a modded PSVita. How can I add individual games to my Super Famicom collection? I already have the .zip files in the right folder, but they don't show up in the collection. I can browse directory to access these games, but loading the state crashes Retroarch.
