Yall would be so struck to know the Penn state college football hate fest is real . WVU fan here. Joe pa went undefeated like 4 times and didn’t get a share of the national title or he would really be a legend . While I am a WVU fan and hate Penn state I am a realist . I’m not talking these rinky dink teams of recent under Franklin losing their 2 biggest games, I’m talking about Joe pa teams that were by far deserving of a share or to play the other team for the title. Like 1994 when they played a way tougher schedule than Nebraska or 1 loss Miami who played for it . They creamed everyone including Oregon in the rose bowl and had tons of nfl talent. They def would have beaten nebraska who played a Miami team that fsu destroyed . But it goes further than that . In the late 70s Penn state went undefeated and beat the #1 team Arkansas . Well Richard Nixon awarded a 2 loss Texas team led by Earl Campbell who Arkansas beat in the regular season the national title over undefeated pen state who yet again had a top 5 schedule and destroyed everyone on it. There were other times Joe pa teams went undefeated as well and didn’t get a piece of the ship. We are talking about rewriting the record books and Penn state could actually be the best program of all time. Just a little useless trivia for yall

Shae was the only person that made an educated decision(and supported it with facts). Just goes to show how Matt and Paul let their biases get in the way of dealing with the facts. That’s one more reason why the AP poll has less credibility year after year. Maybe they should revoke Paul’s vote and allow Shae to take his vote going forward.

I don’t think nobody in the top 10 will finish unranked but who’s more likely to? Florida State. but Matt’s got one point correct. the CFP was made for 3rd base teams in each conference that could never beat the big boys because they’re simply not good. Penn State is 4-17 against top 10 since 2014.

ESPN and majority of college football analyst and commentators covering the sport are jokes. ESPN is HIGHLY bias to the SEC. You can take ANY show from First Take, to Sportscenter, to College Game Day and just about every other word out of one of their mouths is SEC. From players in the NFL being drafted or just genuine talking points, it's SEC. You can't complete sentences with out pubbing the SEC. A coach or players can't stand on their own merits for their production with out saying, THE SEC. And the adamantly deny there isn't bias is a joke. If only this could be tracked. Love the SEC schools and all their accomplishments as of late, but where was the talking points about the conference in the 80s, 90s and early 2000's. Again, great conference, but your independent promotion of that conference and mere mention of other conferences is crazy. Other conferences are mentioned only when drama is going on with realignment. Yes, the BIG 10 gets some love but no where compared to the SEC, We get it guys, The big wigs write the checks. They pull in the dollars, but let's not act like you all don't focus way to much on that conference, all while tearing down others. Your focus for non-SEC is always on the schools, players or the coach. Not so much the conference. But yet, once everyone starts shining lights on ESPN bias from Herbstreit to Finebaum and even Rece, we're all crazy. I tell you, ESPN is starting to sound like a certain group of supporters that can't see the BS for what it is. I miss the day's of just focusing on the game, not pubbing one conference over the other and living with the results. But I guess when folks have opinions or call out colleagues, they mysteriously disappear from the network.
Hey Paul, you keep building the SEC teams up. That is all you know. You are the part of the problem. You need to look at the SEC schedule and see who they play out of conference.
