I really appreciate that, thanks for the kind words! My pleasure, the Taco truly is unrivaled in my mind, which is why I replaced it with a new one. I have to laugh a bit at the reviews when each new midsize comes out and say that the Tacoma is beaten out by the Colorado, or the Ranger, etc... They're great trucks sure, but ultimately they don't have the long term reliability, durability, or even just offroad-ability to compete. Sure, it's not as much as a headline to say "the best midsize truck, is the same as it's been for 20+ years"....but it's true in my eyes. Have a nice day Legion 16! -Fred

I don’t too much care about old pickups but I decided to let the video run to boost you in the algorithm. Then you hooked me and I had to listen. The conclusion was completely unexpected and made for great storytelling. Well done!

Thanks Bill, I appreciate both you watching, and that it was interesting to you. I realize that most of my viewership is interested in Corvette, Porsche, or sports cars at the least, and I know the views on this one won't be very high until it's been online a while, but it was a passion project to do a bit of an homage to the truck after so many years of faithful service. Don't worry, next week I have a great video planned...very likely a "Manual vs DCT" comparison/analysis/opinion piece. Have a nice day, and thanks again! -Fred

Congrats. I own a2017 Tacoma w/ extended cab. I already put 110 miles on it. It's not as good as my previous vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee with straight 6 in CT winters but pretty close. Enjoy it.

Awww...Yeah... It's Fredday Again...ha ha ha! Fred, Great video and content as usual my friend! It's hilarious how similar our Tacoma tastes have been! I too owned a Gen 2 Tacoma Limited Access Cab in Silver. I had it for 7 yrs with 105k miles with one spent overseas on deployment. I had zero problems with ownership and the access cab finally did me in. My daughter was born and her baby car seat would barely fit behind the passenger seat unless it was slid almost fully forward! This was not comfortable at all and was ultimately the deciding factor trading it in! My Cement 17 Tacoma TRD Pro was purchased in Oct. of 16. It too has held up wonderfully and had zero issues for ownership in it's 135k miles. My 22 TRD Pro in Electric Lime Green 💚 has arrived at the dealership and I will be going on Tuesday to make the trade up! Hope you have a wonderful weekend Fred! Be well -Shane

Dude that's awesome....separated at birth? :D Definitely email me a pic or two of the new truck, will be interested to hear how you like it compared to your '17! I've been LOVING my new one. I was torn on the ELG vs the MGM, but availability was pretty hard, so I'm happy I got the color I did (I didn't want black or white). Thanks for reaching out. I think this video clearly won't do well with my normal viewers, who are looking for Corvette only stuff (more on the way!), but I think this will be one of those videos that does well long term, and especially for any Taco fan. I was (dare I say) getting a little emotional looking through all the pictures. I had 41 minutes of footage I had to edit down for this ~25 min video. I tried to keep it moving and interesting, without being too boring. Have a great weekend! -Fred

@@FredsFullThrottle well hell...at least I loved it.. ha ha ha! I thought it was great and honestly, as long as the quality of the video's are good, I'll be here watching and commenting! For me as long as the videos and content are of good quality, I'll watch them from my subscribed channels. I have found several C8 and 70th Ann. Edition videos and content that I won't watch because the quality is poor or the person is cussing in the videos! Now, some of my RU-vid buddies along with my 11 yr old daughter Olivia, want me to start a RU-vid channel! My fear is dedication to making 1 or 2 quality video's a week, otherwise I would be disappointed in myself! Oh...the pressure...ha ha ha! What are your thoughts here? I will 100% take some pictures or video of my new truck and send them your way! Be well -Shane
