Fred, i followed your video about tacoma headlight replacement and loved my result as well. I thought you had mentioned replacing your fog lamps as well? I would like to do the same and was hoping you had some advice. I prefer stock look, but looking for better light, maybe led? I have also read some interesting options of having led white and yellow in same bulb, toggle back and forth with switch. Im an 08 tacoma owner. Thanks for any insight. Jamie
I have comp seats in my 24 z06 and can attest that they are much more comfortable than the c7 comp seats…great padding and the adjustments form fit you for some spirited driving…
I almost bought a Z06 with Z07 package and CF wheels but it was over my budget so at the end I finished buying a Z06 HTC anniversary edition Lucky me Now I'm feeling better after watching your video thanks
Fred, like others below me, looking for an update. MacMulkin has reached out to me for my C8 Z06 build and I believe you were lower on the deposit list. Looking forward to a new vid.
Hello. This is Cherry from Coverado. Are you interested in working with us to try our Tacoma custom seat covers and help us make a video? May I have your ema/il?
I live in new England and am kinda laughing at this a little, A road like this is boring in comparison to some of the other stuff, I mean like tail of the dragon is just as nice as some of the roads I got near my house. Its windy enough for me in my 88 camry base model (manual) to keep up with a 981 cayman S. Ive caught air in a touge battle against an FC RX-7. If you know where to look, the roads out here can be crazy
Thanks for your video, I watched it several times, passed up C8 Z06 that was marked up 20,000, order one from the same dealership, got all options I want with no constraints, end up paying 2500 markup, For what I wanted. Thanks
When you pull into your garage instead of looking in the rear camera. Just pick a point on the wall to your left or right and when your head aligns with it, stop the car you do realize you’re driving a sports car correct.
So let me get this straight when you shut off your car the rev match turns off? Them bastards how dare they you’re lucky you don’t hurt your shoulder doing that I would sue General Motors if you start having shoulder problems. So let me ask you one more time just so I understand if you shut the car off you actually have to lift your left arm up about 10 inches and pull that paddle, wow that’s just like unbelievable. I hope you don’t develop severe shoulder problems. How dare they?
Hey Fred, I have been watching from way back and also took a break, you’re still my favorite content creator, especially your corvette content! Just wanted to tell you it looks like I’m getting go to order my Z06, super pumped! Hope to make it out your way someday for a ride swap day!
Would you apply wax overtop the ppf? My car is 100% covered with ppf and am considering waxing it. If yes, what is the best way to apply it. The installer did not use computer cut pieces. Everything was custom cut and wrapped around leading edges.
Great video! I have an 08 Hyper S and have a Scott’s damper with reverse link ready to go but can’t find a source for the lower bar clamp to accept it. I contact Scotts and they said they dont make them anymore? Can i ask where you got yours?
unless it's an exotic car just buy a paint marker. The universe knows when you care too much about the paint and it will find ways to damage your paint ppf or not. 😆
After owning 2 coupes (C6/C7, thank God I decided to fork over extra for a HTC. I never liked the hassle of removing and installing the Targa. Sometimes I would be riding with the Targa off and for some reason I would have to install it due to weather or wind. Not an issue with the HTC. It’s a pricey luxury option.
Actually the z51 and the Grand sport are almost identical except the GS has a bit more gingerbread on it and slightly different wheel and tire size combo.
We got our 2024 Mist Red HTC in November '23. Long wait, but this car is a SUPER car! We've had a lot of rain here in LA so only got about 700 Miles on her. MacMulkin's Team kept me informed on the status the entire time. Kudos to their team! If only my other Corvette delivery experience could have been as good as what I experienced experienced with their team! 2LZ trim package, front end lift. Love thus car, thanks again to the team at MacMulkin!❤
I've had two C7, a z51 and a z06. The widebody, suspension, and brake setup, etc are wonderful on these upper trims. This video did help make my decision too. Upgraded to a 2018 manual Z06 and having the additional radiator arguably makes the car run too cool. My heat map over the tachometer stays on until I'm hard enough on the car to get temps up. Granted, i've only owned this in cold months so I'm looking forward to how it acts in the warmer ambient temps. All that said, the Z06 is THE way. I hated the sluggishness of the LT1, using 10qts oil for under 500hp, and still losing to newish 5.0 mustangs that have any single mod done. I don't *have* to use the extra 200hp, but it's there when i do want to engage with it. I couldn't imagine the LT1 with additional weight and drag via aero. Would have stayed in the z51 on 305 width rear tires. Hellcats used to troll my LT1 and I had no room to mess with em. The LT4 makes you faster than 98-99 out of 100 other cars on the road around you. All these gripes mostly to say, the ONLY reason I'd skip the GS is the motor. For an LT1, i wouldn't even go back to my stingray and would settle for a camaro, saving the most money for aftermarket work.
Thanks for this video! I have swirls and rock chip on my black bmw X5 and it drives me crazy. I wanted the whole car but it’s so pricey so I’m thinking about doing what you did and just ceramic coating the car because it helps reducing the swirls. Also they have things for the window that helps water to bounce off of it, I’m wondering if you got that too?
Great video, I bout the grand sport great In manual. Definitely a fun car. looking to buy the z06 with with it. Since it’s also coming down in price. But I agree it has its flaws and allot of time when it comes down to consistency it lacks.
