I hope you enjoy my reaction to A Bronx Tale (1993) Full Length reactions on patreon / clairecam Comment down below what other movies, tv shows, or trailers I should watch!
The part with the guys jumping on the backs of other guys was a city game called "Johnny on the Pony." I think it had other names, but they escape me at the moment.
I used to watch Fat Albert cartoons in the 70's and part of the 80's. There was one episode were they played that game only they called it buck buck. If you Google it you can read about it. I say this for those that aren't familiar with the game.
1968: MLK - Assassinated, RFK - Assassinated, the Tet Offensive, Battle of Hue, and Siege of Khe Sahn in Vietnam, President Johnson announces he won't run for a second term, paving the way for Richard Nixon's presidency.
Sporting event tickets were way more affordable in 1960. It was before TV deals and free agency drove players salaries through the roof. You could buy 2 tickets in center field for 75 cents EACH. So it was very affordable for working class people to go to a game here and there and sit in the outfield. A bus driver like Lorenzo would have made about $75 a week, so taking his kid to a game once a month would be easy. Mickey Mantle, the best player in the league back then, was only paid 60 thousand dollars a year...good for 1960, but not comparable to players best player today making 67million a year.
Let me explain the hat thing. When she adjusted the brim she made it look less like a fedora and more like a pork pie which are more popular in the black community, particularly among Jamaicans.
“Batroom” 😂 sounds like my sis ex husband Pauly with Sicilian roots 🤷😆21:06 she got vocal rhythm 🤘🏻 that’s dope she singing too - ok I liked the reaction 💯
Sonny is living vicariously though C. Sonny is pretty fatalistic about being a mobster and probably sees himself as into deep or can't really live another kind of life even though he may want to. So with C he can envision a life where he wasn't in crime and wants to coach C so he doesn't make the mistakes he did that trapped him as a mobster. Theres also the aspect of that C is Sonny's only normal friend that isn't in the mob, scared of him, or trying to kiss up to him. So he feels he can have a real conversation with him.
'60s were awesome, don't listen to fools. Somebody gets beat up no matter what year it is. One more thing, ADHD is pretty normal, goes away in late teens for most folks. Later !
The Prince isn't about politics at all, it's an overall guide on living a balanced life as a leader of men, it's sort of a "self help book" for royal heirs and nobility
That was a way of life back then way better than this baloney now you knew the gangsters in my neighborhood i would go to their bars if you didnt mind their business you got along il liked them because we knew how to act and knew about respect
Awsome Reaction. Ive loved this movie since I saw it in theaters. I love that it has the Mob movie tropes, but is a love story at heart. And their relationship was hard at the worst time. I dealt with it in the late 90's but like you said it is getting better. Stay strong and keep rockin
Good choice for a reaction, which is one of the great things about this channel, that you also give a chance to movies like this and not just extremely popular stuff from this genre like Goodfellas, a movie that is well made but has no single character that is better than Mario and therefore unfairly enjoys more popularity than A Bronx Tale! Btw, in case you're interested, Chazz Palmintari, the actor who acted Sonny is the real Calogero from the true story that was filmed here and I thought you might be interested in that detail.
I understand that guys cry, you're right it's a natural part of life. I just don't understand why they don't cry in front of other people. I think it's just because of social norms
