I work in dementia care, and I found a great radio station called, "Boomer Tunes" and my clients LOVE it lolol They play all of these old classics and I can see the recognition in my client's eyes when they hear a song from their past. I love how music has the power to take them back to happy memories no matter how advanced their Alzheimer's or dementia is.
@weareallgodschildrenlovefr9556 Thank you! I love it ☺️ It's never felt like a , "job" to me. It's more like my calling lol@@weareallgodschildrenlovefr9556
My Nan had Alzheimer’s it was heartbreaking she thought I was my Grandad as I look just like him. She didn’t know what day or what year it was, but she used to sing songs that were popular in ww2 word for word.
@vlogswsasha. Not to be a d*ck but that's simply not true. A lot of bands and artists at that time were very innovative and experimental. Sure, the Beatles are very well known for their innovations, but that's also mainly because they were the most popular band back then. Still that doesn't take away from the ingenuity and influence other artists had on music. From the top of my head: Phil Spector, the Zombies, the Kinks, the Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan all did remarkable stuff which influenced music forever. If you like music history it's definitely worth looking into.
I was born in 1994, and I grew up listening to both my father's and grandfather's generation of music. For me, music from the 1940's to the 2010's are all the best.
This era of music can not be duplicated. Everytime I listen to one of these songs I immediately begin to think of my childhood, going to work with my mom and the oldies station playing this kinda music everyday. Some of the best times ♥️
...your parents grew up in the 60???...my grandparents grew up in the 60s and I also know them all bc I love rock and 60s music is close to rock so yea
Honestly, the 60s were genuinely some of the best years for music. Then into the 70s. I have a Playlist exclusively of that era of music, because sometimes I just need the energy of those years.
@@justinb2022 The musicians who have historically sold the most music ever, the biggest concert according to their era standards, that invented tons of new music techniques using inspiration from around the world (like using synthesizers 20 years before they were popular) and that have inspired Nirvana, Oasis, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Coldplay, Gorillaz and 70% percent of modern musicians (real statistic) are not overrated Even if we only counted raw sales and cultural impact, any of their songs are way more "iconic" than any on this list
Travel with oldies 60s today, remembering family when they were on earth, happy times only in the mind, Now days it’s hard to understand some songs, country stays the same, ……. For me it’s Elvis radio all the time, never gets old… ❤❤❤❤❤
In what world is it underrated? The 1960s decade of music is widely considered not only the most important in modern history, but also one of the best, if not THE best
My fav songs each year of the 60s: 1960 - Giant Steps (John Coltrane) 1961 - Miserlou (Dick Dale) 1962 - Watermelon Man (Herbie Hancock) 1963 - Twist and Shout (The Beatles) 1964 - You Really Got Me (The Kinks) 1965 - Like a Rolling Stone (Bob Dylan) 1966 - God Only Knows (The Beach Boys) 1967 - Love or Confusion (Jimi Hendrix) 1968 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vita (Iron Butterfly) 1969 (Best Year in music history imo) - 21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson)
I love how Jarred makes content to share his passion. Not to promote is work. Like I get tired when a different DJ adds their name half way through a switch. Like I get it, trying to make money. But hearing "DJ Precise!" in the middle of a song ruins the mood. Keep up the good work Jarred. Love, an honorable fan ❤️
How was there not a single Beatles song? Not only did they dominate the 60s but there music is everywhere even now, they have so many iconic hits its insane
My 80 year old grandfather loves “what a wonderful world” so much that he will play it at his funeral. Every time I hear this song, A makes me think of him, and makes me cry a little bit. He also loves 2000 miles away, so I’ve had about 4 interactions with him at 20
i would have felt like he’s talking solely about american music here if he hadn’t mentioned the stones- but at least we know what side of the british invasion fangirl debate fella would’ve been on
As a 90s baby who grew up to be a metal head, you will not convince me that there is a greater era of music than the 60s.hit after hit, and they ALWAYS hit ya in the feels.
I was born in 1960. I love how these songs had a really long lasting play time. Some were still relevant for years. Not like today's music where effective airtime is so short. I remember all these songs a decade later just as popular as when they were originally released. ☺️🫶
I'm 36 years old, but I love all these great songs and I grew up listening to them, i thank my parents for giving me such a good education and a great musical culture.
1960's to 1990's were the best years of music. The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, John Lennon and sooo many more.
@@rdwhtbluEagl I said 60's to 90's and i know that lennon was from the Beatles i just wanted to include him seperately too. I also live Paul McCartney's solo career. I even saw him live in Boston in 2022. And Ringo Starr in Broadway the day before that. Those were the best 24h if my life. After that i've also seen RHCP, Roger Waters, Sting, Cure and Bruce Springsteen. Im gonna see Bruce again cause he's coming to my city next year.
