They turned this "fun ,upbeat, dance with your friends" song into this slow, sensual, sex me up in the back of a club at 2am song, and I am so ready for it. My god I think I honestly prefer this to the original although I can still appreciate both versions.
One of the best bands around right now by far. Theirs is the one of the few albums I can ever remember purchasing that after months and months of listening to, I'm still playing it on repeat. Absolutely incredible.
Brian Daniel The played a free gig here in Hull just as I was getting into them (so, I wasn't too fussed about going at the time), but now, looking back, I can't believe the chance I missed out on:(
Charley Passy Each to their own:) I'm not forcing my opinions down on anyone, the bands you mentioned are probably pretty good but it's gonna take a lot for me to get past my 1975 phase, haha. Even now, two months after posting my original comment, what I wrote still stands!
Charley Passy Catfish and teh Bottlemen are a great band but Thr 1975 have a beautiful unique sound as @SuperMisterKory said "Each to their own opinion"
Oh my gosh, I was not expecting to hear the Weeknd. I love The 1975. They have such a distinct sound and it's just beautiful how they can transform songs to make them sound like their own.
Jesus. This is such a genreless group. They incorporate so many elements, from rock n roll to r&b to even bit of jazz as we see here. They're bringing back true sound. They're bringing back music.
You have no idea how bad I feel for people who don't know about this band or dislike them. So much joy is missing from their lives. Oh well, keep doing your thing boys. I adore you all
I find it hard to believe that matty is a self taught vocalist. His range and technique is seriously mind boggling. The vocals during their slowdown/Drive Like I Do/Big Sleep days are just a remarkable experience.
I actually listen to this for a few months now. And for some reason I just listened to wicked games for the first time and it sounded so familiar so I searched half an hour for the Cover from which I was remembering it. Until it clicked in my head and I realized it was this video (hard to find when it is actually the cover of another song...) :D
So as someone who doesn't know the original, I really enjoyed this cover. I know people are always going to be comparing covers to originals, but if people enjoyed this version, isn't that the point?
Can't believe I saw these guys at a local club for $20 bucks while I was in Uni. Their front man is so tiny it's definitely memorable when you see them preform. They were good! Had a very simple set design, like a lit up rectangular door on stage, it was really effective. This mix is smooth, but I can't believe over 4 million people have seen it-- so cool that they shot up. Good for them :).
This is probably my favourite cover. Its just musically so different from the originally you wouldn't even know it was clean bandits song. They can turn any song into a masterpiece. Absolutely love it!
omg this is crazy I was just listening to the same song they covered by the weeknd at 2:38 😱😱😱 and he's definitely my favorite artist while they are my favorite band.my face is stuck on that shocked expression.
I tought this song couldn't be more perfect, then these guys made this cover! Oh my, Jess Glynne (original singer) has to make a cameo in this! So amazing! Obsessed!
The 1975 cannot do wrong. this is so perfect. i love how they take a cover and completely change it and make it their own. They are so original and fresh i just love them. Matty's voice is just incredible ♥
true love. i just don't know how to explain my love for this band. I love matty's voice. it's so deep and it has so many "shades". I love their style that is pretty unique. Also when they do a cover they literally transform the song and make it in theirs own style. I've never fell in love into a band before and now they're kind of an obsession for me. They're so talented and i hope for them the best! Just go ahead like this the 1975 :) Can't way to see you live and to listen new songs!
