Good job on getting the bike going …. Are the GT50’s basically the same bike with the 80 just having a larger piston? Are any of the parts interchangeable?

Kevin! Love your vidoes on the 77 GT80. Ty! I am going to leverage the cdi swap once I get mine running right. In any event can you help guide me on what you’d check next? I have 74 GT80. It starts right up with choke and then dies. If i hold my fingers mostly over the carb air intake hole it continues to run and will rev up. Does this suggest it is getting air elsewhere? Thoughts??? Appreciate it!
