I built this device to run horizontally a block above the ground to test and it worked great. Then I build it where I wanted it up in the air and it immediately broke. I didn't understand why it was failing until I realized that the location I was at was on a chunk border (right down the center of the machine). I rebuilt it a few blocks to the side and it now works great. So, it appears you need to watch chunk boundaries, at least when it's in the middle of this machine.

I slightly modified the station at the start, i just used 1 redstone dust and a repeater with a lever on the redstone dust block with no redstone block for the start station. So for bamboo farms for example it will set off once and you use a lever to send it when you want so if you make multiple of these flying machines you may be able to connect all the redstone dust from multiple machines to one lever. This also frees up the redstone block so opens possibilities to extend the flying machine but so far my attempts at extending it result in the machine breaking

There are two other designs that I know of for two way flying machines in bedrock. The first uses glazed terracotta to make stickies act like normal pistons. The front of each side with pistons facing each other follows this pattern: Piston Terracotta Slime Terracotta Slime Piston So that it starts going towards the bottom module but if you move the bottom one to the left it will move the other way. Then just push the bottom back to send it back. This design uses 7 blocks on one side and 6 on the other, giving marginally more space for attachments than yours. The second design uses two sticky pistons back to back and shifts the placement of the observers to change whether they can push or pull the other side. One way you have one observer powering the front piston and one powering the back so that one pushes and one pulls and the other way they just switch. This one uses 5 blocks per side (at least the smallest I could make it), allowing for much more attachments, but is also harder to make the reversers than the other two. These two also seem to be marginally faster.

Love it used it to cheaply ship supplies from me and my friends bases that are decently distanced and too expensive for a minecart system

Hi i build the machine in 1.21.30 and it breaks after a while, stops on one side or even the piston whit observer aren’t in the right place. Trying to figure out why atm.

What would be the most compact 2 floor elvator possible? It doesent need to look nice, just enough room to stand in. I tried ur video on the elevator and it worked great, but i have a tiny space that i need it to go through.

You know that trick how java players add a observer and stickypiston to the machine? How do you do that in bedrock without moving observers or any blocks in the machine?

is there a way to use this as a engine to move another bit so we can build much bigger things

where do you put the slime blocks on the horizontal one? like to break the sugar cane, i've tried to place the line of slime blocks and every single block but it just breaks the machine

The horizontal flying machine breaks eventually. I used it up to 100 blocks of travel distance before it broke each time. DETAILS--> I used the machine to get from the end island to the end cities(1000 blocks away). I tragically died 300 blocks in. Another thing is that I made and used this machine on a realm. Last but most importantly I added and extra slime block so that I could add two deep slate blocks which I additionally placed a rail + cart(I used the deep slate to prevent myself from flying off but eventually did fly off) I hope this information helps another out so that you do not make the same mistake that I made :) bye

These breaks all the time. If your lucky it'll go from one side to the other without problem only for it to break the next time. I've tried this and a different one but they both break. Something seems up with flying machines right now 😢.

Are all the pistons sticky pistons?

Is there a way i can modify the start/stop with a lever? im thinking i can use this for getting around long distances or biomes in my world, im real bad at redstone and could barely figure out how to make it even with the vid

Can somebody explain to me why is there an piston that is just pushing towards nothing why is it doing nothing?

Sad, I think this desing breaks when used with addons that use scripts with piston events. (Tho, tbf, their experimental). Just like the first vertical design, from time to time it breaks. The external pistons that move the observers sometimes get pushed one block to far after arriving at the obsidian.

do you know whether this works in older versions aswell?

Invite on Minecraft that is on consoles it is actually extremely easy to make two flying machines what are yeah I forgot the name of the console version superhero is not some country lane one in time

i know this was a year ago, but i came up with the same 2 way machine and when you stack them (like a 4x4 door) it doesn't work anymore. bedrock redstone sucks and i'm disappointed grrr anger
