can you do a video on men having the mindset that's it not a big deal if they get caught cheating. but if they get cheated on its of course the end of the world. cheating wrong period, dosent matter if your male or female. I've noticed that therapists and coaches have been doing a " it's takes two" kind of approach to this topic. basically coddling the cheater and sending the message to the one who was cheated on that it's also their fault, and they need to figure out what part they played in their partner being unfaithful. I think it's been contributing alot to people having an excuse for lacking integrity. cheating is selfish, entitled, and completly disrespectful to the partner. the damage it causes to all parties involved is being minimized, and blame is being shifted on the ones that are damaged the most. I'd like to hear your opponion on this topic, and any experiences you have or that you have witnessed, and if you have any advice on how to handle situations like this not just for the betrayed partner ( make or female) but for the one who does the betraying by bringing sone awareness to the damage it causes and how it erodes a person's integrity in more places than just a romantic relationship. love your content, your influence on younger generations is desperately needed in this messed up society we have created for ourselves. thank you.

No faith, no identity, no purpose. Compounded by inflated human value/population density stress/"behavioral sink." Technological revolutions also played a role. The agricultural revolution spawned extended families. Industrial revolution, nuclear families. Information/internet revolution, single-parent households. Now we are going through a sort of remote work/gig economy revolution with VR and doordash, everything from schooling to therapy is being done remotely, wars are being fought by drones, etc. Children really have no place in this economic arrangement. The good news is that the arrangement is an unsustainable ponzi scheme. The bad news is that we are pretty much all totally unprepared for the hard work of surviving its collapse and building a new (or perhaps not so new) order afterwards.

Always go back to childhood in this case. I always wanted to be a doctor, politician and musician. Now, I've got my first medical textbook, a violin (a massive childhood dream), and a few books reccommended to me about philosophy and politics (such as Meditations by Marcus Aurelius). Nothing finds that spark of purpose like striving to fulfill your inner child's dreams. Reason finds resolve. Excuses find exits.

I think we're living in pretty hard times (for young adults in particular.) We're presented with the illusion, that anything is possible, we're comparing ourselves to others more due to "social" media. The possibilities seem limitless. The pace of life is too high for us to adapt. Rents are too high, "surviving" is expensive. It has become more difficult to decide on what we really want to do with our lifes. It hardly ever feels good enough. There's always a better choice. You're not weak for feeling how you feel. I feel you, just as so many others.

I wasn’t married for a start. My relationship was going well. Career going well. Got married at 28. We broke up at 35. She used me like a workhorse and atm card. I had a miserable marriage towards the end with two kids involved. She didn’t want to be a mum. She didn’t have a job and I was putting in 80 hours a week. we began to fight a lot about the kids and home. so she up and left me with two kids. That pretty much left me in the situation I am now in. Two kids. Work and provide for them and raise them. Ever since then I’ve had to cut back on my hours in order to be more available for my kids. They’re my only purpose now. It’s rewarding but a real struggle. You have zero time for yourself. I love them don’t get me wrong. I’m very bitter towards their impulsive selfish mother who just left to live her own life without any responsibilities. So I am lost and without purpose for myself other than raising my kids on my own. I didn’t want this situation. Did everything society told me to do. Study hard. Get good grades. Get a good job. Raise a family. Now all I do is work and raise them. No time for anything else. It feels like a prison sentence at times. No breaks. No days off. No time to relax just go go go. But my kids are thriving in school and have extracurriculars. It’s not all bad. I love them dearly. Just wish I didn’t have to do it on my own.

Ok so…I’m a 24 year old autistic woman, who hasn’t done much in life. I technically never graduated school, never got a diploma, or a degree, I never went to college, never got an actual job, never got a license, or a car, I still live with my parents, and I also never dated anyone…I’m celibate. So, I’ve had my days where I felt like a failure, felt anxious and doubtful of myself, and over thinking a lot. But…that’s ok, I just am mentally handicapped, I struggle to do most things because I am autistic. So, it’s ok that I struggle more, I’m still growing and learning, I’m still learning how to be an adult and discipline myself…become more independent. I know I’ll still need help from my family, they don’t mind helping me…because they love me regardless of my struggles. I do have some stuff going on tho…I’m a streamer here on RU-vid, I’m a digital artist, a video editor, and an aspiring music maker, game designer, and voice actor. I have a lot of aspirations and dreams, and I hope I can achieve most of them. I just wanna make great quality content for people to enjoy, I don’t wanna become famous or rich, but still successful in my own way. I wish to become…multi talented, and become bigger than myself in a way…make something truly amazing.

I'm in a very similar situation. I'm a 20-year-old man who's an aspiring artist, animator, and content creator. Well, I used to have strong aspirations, but I stopped making videos 2 years ago. I just haven't had the motivation for it. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome and ADD when I was 3 years old. I had a pretty decent social life in elementary school, probably because I was attending ESE classes at the time. Once I graduated from elementary, however, I lost contact with my friends, and people started to pick on me for being the _"weird kid"._ That's when I started getting into art, and I used it as an escape. My grades didn't suffer, but I became extremely depressed and separated from reality. I met one close friend in high school who was also autistic, and we bonded because of our similar interests and struggles. She's the one that inspired me to really improve on my art. Then when I was in 11th grade, the pandemic started, and we slowly drifted away from each other. The past 4 years felt like a blur... I can legally drive, but I only recently accrued enough credits to graduate from high school. The system promised me a diploma in the mail, but I'm still waiting on it. My parents won't help me get a job until I receive the diploma, so for the moment I'm just kinda stuck. Once I get my diploma, my plan is to get a basic job and save up money to move out of my parent's house, but the world's looking really bleak right now, so I'm not sure how far I'll get. I'm in a very confusing situation right now. Someday I hope to be fully independent. I'm glad you didn't let the world stomp out your dreams and you went as far with them as you did. You have a very strong will. Just wanna let you know that you're not alone in your struggles. :)

"So long as you have desires, your desires will always find a way to outweight your contemptment" very powerful quote. Stoicism and Budhism tells us to "Get rid of our desires", and that's exactly what has worked out for me the most: detatchment. Detatchment from the expectation of achievement; Detatchment from fulfilling society's expectations; Detachment from acquiring useless, empty material possesions, and in that journey I have began to find what I set out to find in the first place: Fullfillment, Freedom and, above all, Peace.

@@ColeHastings I like this. I think it's always about balance between desire and detachment. If we always desire, we will never be satisfied. If we are always detached, we will also never be satisfied, because we'd just be programmed to do things without imagination or wonder. Desire is like the fire that sparks us to wonder, take action and gives us direction, while detachment from the outcome will help us be more present and focus on the process. This will help us decide if our desires are fulfilling or not.

Remember, your path is unique. Society makes us believe that “there is one right way to live life”. Everyone moves at their own pace, there is no rush to greatness. You don’t have to have x by a certain age, or obtain x amount of whatever, or match up to societal norms to be happy! As long as you are satisfied with your journey and making it the way you want to make it that’s all that matters. Society tries to keep people in boxes but our souls long to be authentic and break free.

In the coming days, knowledge and intelligence are going to be some of the most valuable attributes to have. In other words, Being smart will get you places. I would say to Master self discipline and avoid indulging in pleasures. Don’t be afraid of anything in life, and if you are, learn to confront that fear. Love one another. The big mistake of most is over consuming information, content, opinions… life is all about getting work that pays for and provides time for hobbies, having healthy habits, having a beer with friends and laughing, and coming home at night to put a smile on your partners face…. Find the way to do those things and you won’t feel existential dread like many do. Think about what value you provide to those around you and no matter what you do, you will feel so much more fulfilled.

Towards the end when Cole mentions that the end goal you're looking for will not be there it made me rethink of a concept I had about goals in life. They are like mountain ranges where you have to climb that mountain you desire (goal) and in the summit you'll be able to see the next mountains up ahead, taller and more beautiful (next goals), the purpose is to keep going as the process is what matters most.

Thanks, just turned 20 today. I will achieve what you’re talking about. I call it “adventure” the fine balance between pleasure and work where you are never working or pleasuring your self which ultimately lead to more dreadful work. This cycle is too common amongst people and the reason why “life sucks” in my opinion. Achieving adventure, is what you basically did. By increasing your ability to make ur own decisions, and reducing the amount of choices you’re able to make, your in an adventure state. Limited in pleasure and maximum freedom with what’s left, resulting in success.

I think people are piggybacking on others genius, but in reality they forget to be authentic and hence can't make genius thoughts on a regular basis hence if u see Einstein he was very alone and focused all on physics, if u live what u wanna be the rules come to you naturaly . People lack the wisdom to be genius all the time hence being a God like buddha is the fittest way to live, we all believe that nature is genius hence it will live and take out the fact that a astriod can wipe it out no matter thc genius of nature hence buddha transended all of that by detaching and acceptting all that is this moment because if u are alive you have a chance to be a God alive = god if people understand this we all can start producing our own authentic life it is not hinging on genius systems like social media, people have understood this but they don't practice it because they think they don't have time but without this what are they doing they don't realise this, if everyone realise this everyone will behave more concerned about their own genius life, it takes time to be genius hence start with the only state of achieving it by being a God

I resonate a lot with your video. The one thing you didn't touch on was connection. If there's anything I've learned from the ups and downs of my life, the most fulfillment comes from having genuine connection with others. Something especially hard in today's world, made even harder by losing yourself in your work pushing the imaginary finish line of your dreams further and further away. This video felt very lonely, and all I want to say is fulfillment is found in a balance of pushing your projects forward AND connecting with the people around you and developing lasting relationships

The man-child epidemic is great honeslty. Thanks, zoomers. As a trades worker in my 30s, literally, 0 young workers want to, or are even capable of working in my field, it has been making my worth go up exponentially, and my pay as well. Just simply working and showing up puts you leagues ahead of so many young people. I should be training new workers constantly by now but nothing. Literally nothing. If you all want money and purpose join a trade and buckle down. You'll be rewarded And of course this entire video is a skillshare ad lmao. Tell these kids they don't have skills, then lead them to a website filled with more worthless / oversaturated skills. No wonder young people prefer virtual worlds to the real one. You go to the dating market with 50 other guys, and she prefers to choose a child rabist or a criminal who has the most attractive face with a teardrop tattoo under his eye. You go to the job market and no one wants your degree because of college degree inflation, AI development, the shitty global economic and political situation, and other things you have no control over. The number of lonely and desperate people among Gen-Z, and the number of male suicides among young men will be unimaginable by 2030 if nothing changes in this society. And it seems like it's only getting worse every year. *P. S.* I'm neither complaining nor projecting my own life experience here, i'm just describing of what the young folks going through right now in US. Luckily, i was born a little bit earlier before the world has lost its marbles. But i have a nephew and a younger brother, and i know what they're going through right now.

I loved this video. I inherited financial stability from my parents with a paid off house and car at 21. At 16-20 i resembled this character with no real work or idea of what I wanted to do with my life.. add drinking and other substances and I was spiraling to nothing but managed to quit the drink and now I work with my dads company full time and deliver pizza on weekends for bonus money. All any of us can really do is work as hard as possible and be frugal. Isolate, form a contrarian idea, execute on it massively and success will follow.

It's not you man, it's the gals. They're overwhelmingly materialistic, they choose jerks over loyal men, and get laid every Sunday. It's not about "how do I attract the good girls?", it's "how can I avoid the bad ones?" I don't even bother trying to spark a conversation with the opposite sex, cause I'm 90% sure I'll get ghosted for some Tik-tok hotshot who will leave her for the next-best body. And even if I run into a girl that isn't promiscuous, she'll be typing away on her phone while we're at a restaurant. I'm not even 30, but I feel like a boomer at this point.

Let yourself get bored. The brain will do everything in its power to get out of boredom, using the most creative idea to make time enjoyable. It’s also proved by science. However, with social media and instant gratification with zero work lowers kills creativity. An empty brain will think hard to not be bored, a phone, or computer will hinder this.

I feel this. When I was 18 years old and I was in trouble in relationships, friendships and family I decided I had to change. Then I did university to become a high school geography teacher and after graduating with A's I got to teach in the best high school in the region. I made good money, I had a stable relationship and we had wealth. I had everything (so I thought), I did everything I needed to do. And still, I was unhappy. Fast forward I broke up and was going to live at my moms and she almost passed away in front of me and I didn't have much support during and after this. Even though I was really doing everything I could to support others all the time (even when I was super busy I would make time) and it seemed so unfair to me. Then I thought fuck it, why am I still doing all of this for everybody? and went down a very dark road and still trying to come back from it. Now I am single, jobless, moving to my new appartment in one week and still don't know what the fuck I have to do afterwards that is meaningful to me... it's like nothing is good enough and everything you THINK would fulfill you or make you happy is never long-term.

One constraint that is imposed upon at least me in my 40s is that the body starts to limit you. In my 30s, super fit, gym 6x times a week, one bad deadlift, back pain, broken disk, surgery. Slow recovery, can’t lift heavy so switched to cardio to have more energy. Eventually knees gave out, got a heel spur. Got through that. Now I have severe forefoot pain that I have no idea where it came from, but if I had to guess it’s from all the orthotics and inserts that supported my arch but changed my gait. I hope you don’t get limited by your body, watching you out in nature are things that have been taken away from me, largely by my actions in trying to stay fit and active. Sometimes I wonder if sitting on the couch would make me avoid these injuries and let me have that glorious ‘right’ amount of choice. I would do anything to get some of that mobility back, and even more to know what NOT to do and how to maximize longevity. I spent my 20s like you did, though in the early aughts it was easier in terms of needing less of that ‘energy transfer between people’ to exist. To the grand adventure, despite all the setbacks and problem exchanges there really is nothing else.
