You just reconfirmed why I like my S197. Yeah I could have bought a newer 5.0 but I really like this retro style inside and out , when she gets old and tried I'm sure a new Coyote swap would be in the books ..
I have a 2007 mustang gt and you honestly have me a new love for a n/a setup. I always thought boosting it was the only way to really get power (or to beat a 5.0) but it’s nice to see that’s not the case. Love the vid! Thanks
For a great video on the full potential of these 3V engines on a stock bottom end, go check out Brenspeed's video comparison detailing the differences in power with different blowers, cams, LT headers and tune. He has one 3V putting down 567rwhp and 458 wheel tq no problem - that's 667hp at the crank folks.
You can push more way more than 500whp on the stock block. Only thing you need to do is get forged internals and throw some boost at it and you can push 650whp. I have a 2010 gt with a 2.6 Kenne bell on stock internals and stock block and I’m pushing over 500whp.
Check out my channel I’ll be uploading more vids once summer comes because I don’t drive my car in the winter. I can give you some good advice on how to make power with your 3v.
Id need to see the Dyno "mustang" numbers or a few MPH times ect before I could even start to think this car makes 350 HP to the wheels. Sounds nice, has that 3V sound.
The 3v has the sound and the retro styling alot of people like... but that's where it ends. Not hating I had a 05 gt with tons of performance mods and it was fun but it wasn't "fast" Sold the gt after I bought a 08 gt500 the difference even stock was night and day. Now lots of changes and breaking the tires loose at 70mph is fast and sketchy, the 3v is a pig compared to the other platforms.
just FYI ...skipped past the long ass intro, then skipped past the gas station interview, tried skipping past the car back story only to find more back story and gave up. shorten the intro and get to the point, show your mods, why it improved it and less of you pointing at your car witch is all i saw scanning ahead.
