Ive been a bama for life customer since 2012..Is the v2 a different way of tuning or you guys have new tuners and they just call it v2...I have the same mods is last year would it be worth calling bama to get another tune?

Can you get back to the stock tune if you don’t like the bama ones? Do they have eco tunes you can switch to when not racing Does it void warranty’s/ cause check engine lights?

Yes you can go back to stock. As for the eco tune i don’t know, and warranty’s will most likely be voided because dealerships can see if an ECU has been flashed or not

3valve owner here and I got custom tunes (v2tunes) tunes for life through American muscle and bama. I definitely noticed a difference in power and throttle response I was pumped until the car tried shifting to fourth gear. It stuttered into fourth like it had turrets. So I contact America muscle they are on they're fourth attempt of fixing the problem.... I was let down I was wanting this to work so badly but life isn't perfect.

Im confused, I thought the 05-10 gt was 300hp stock. With the 92 tune it still didnt produce 300hp.

I think you're confusing RWHP with Crank Horsepower! When a car is advertised from the manufacturer with a specific amount of horsepower, they are giving you the number to the motor itself. The Horsepower numbers to wheels is the actual amount you're putting down after drivetrain loss. That number will always be less. Hope this helps! - Will

(the reason is because energy is lost having to manipulate the parts between the engine and the tires, transmission, axles, etc) throw a few bolt ons with the appropriate tunes and you'll see it go over 300 hp to the wheels

I noticed they only share the numbers for the "Race" tune, obviously you wouldn't daily drive the race tune, so what did the "Performance" tune make?

Nightakula The Performance Tune & Race Tune will make the some power on the Dyno. The real differences between the (2) tunes are noticed outside of WOT. Drive-ability, throttle response, shift points, gas mileage etc.. Hope this helps! -Dan

What's the difference from a v2 race tune and a race tune I got from you guys already? If there is a difference can I download v2 tunes to my sf3 tuner or is it only for the new tuners?

I just ordered this exact tuner either the two custom tunes. Do I have to receive my tuner, datalog while driving, and then send that data to Bama to receive my custom tunes? Or do I automatically get them with the tuner?

The coyote is more efficient. Therefore the same basic change on either motor will net larger gains on the more efficient motor.

Here's a question, if I buy this tuner for my 05-09 mustang gt, and later sell it and buy a different model mustang like 1999-2004 or 2011-2014, am I still able to use the same tuner as long as I take the time off the car before getting rid of it ? And After contacting you guys to make an update on my tuner of course

I only have a couple of performance upgrades like CAI, Catback exhaust, and suspension. Is this tune worth it if I wanna keep the 87 octane? Car is my daily and would appreciate a bump in mpg and performance although this seems contradictive.

An aftermarket tune will absolutely help your Mustang run a little smoother with those aftermarket components and get a little boost in horsepower! It definitely will not be as much of a gain with 87 Oct compared to 91/93 though, whether that is worth it or not comes down to your personal preference. -Zach

can a full bolt on 3v with tune make over 400?

David Martin that is not going to happen unless you put a couple thousands in the engine for cams ported heads, racing pistons, intake manifold, performance throttle body, cai, bigger injectors, and many more upgrades. The easiest and cheapest way to make over 400hp in a 3v will be by getting a procharger, supercharger, or turbo. There are many people out there saying they are making almost 400hp with stock motor and just a couple of boltons which is a lie. I have an 06 gt and have a couple boltons which I bought used because they are very expensive and I dont even think I got more than 310 hp. Look for more honest answers out there because some will be inflating their results. Hope this helps

Yea I have a 2006 Mustang GT with the V3 supercharger and make 430hp to the wheels my car does have some other bolt on’s though but nothing super crazy .....yet😈

I have a 2015 GT PP manual, is it safe to run it on the Bama Race tune all the time? or do you guys suggest I only use that tune for the track?

Froilan Gonzales Although you should not have any problems, due to the aggressiveness of the tune, Bama Performance recommends to only run it at the track, but I am guilty of running it all the time myself and have had no issues! - Will

AmericanMuscle.com Nice.. Thank you for the response. I just changed my tune back to sport anyway. I did notice however that my tunes just say "91 oct Sport and Track". My car is a 2015, but it doesn't say V2, does that mean my tunes are out of date?

I doubt the tuner did that much as you bumped up the octane by 6 points between runs and the factory ecu would have advanced the timing a decent amount till it sensed knock. 6 points is a huge difference for power. 87 octane to 93 octane would be a 30hp difference in a new ecoboost engine and i could put a sticker on the engine and go "look this sticker gave me 30 hp" I do like your company and video. I will continue to buy from you but this video proved nothing

heith85 We did use 87 octane and compared to 93 octane which is pretty common practice in the industry. We know the factory PCM, the stock calibration will only add 2 degrees of timing base on knock sensor activity from 3000rpm and up and the air/fuel ratio will be very rich from the factory. You will not see 17+ HP gains from just adding premium fuel. The changes that the Bama team make to fueling, timing, VCT etc. are what's responsible for gaining most of the power advertised in this video. I hope this helps clear things up! It's a tuner, you'll need it down the road, i added headers, cai, super 10 muffler, h pipes, hot rod cams, large throttle body, performance valves, intake manifold went from 285 whp to 399whp and with added tunes and a little nitrous 457whp, next up is the supercharger, just waiting on my tax return

Just uploaded my 91 race tune on my 06 GT. Boy does it pull in the high rpms and low end too. 6400 rpm red line now I believe. Such a beast!

I recently discovered the "hold traction control down for 10 seconds with foot on brake" trick to release the holdback options. When using a tuner does any of that matter, or must you disable traction control, etc? IF you turn off traction control n stuff using the controls will it effect the tuner?!
