Coming along for day 1 of competition coverage from Madison. Due to some flight delays, we started vlogging when Nate arrived on Friday. To say the least, the vibe was different from the previous 12 years of coverage I’ve done. What remained the same were the amazing performances and the authenticity of the community.
We focused on conversations, not action. We gave away a few copies of my new book, Dottir, which was a high point in the day. We had some great conversations. We also caught up the owners of BUBS and FitAid who have supported me on this year’s journey, as well as some of the athletes behind the scenes, like this year’s highly debated wild card athlete - Hunter McIntyre.
