The 2021 Ford Mach E GT Performance Is A Stupid Fast All-Electric Mustang 

Good morning everyone! We’re so excited to finally post our video on the fastest version of the Mach E. Bummed we couldn’t test out ford’s claimed 0-60 time but once ours arrives at our local Ford dealer next month, we will surely retest and do a ton more videos with the car. Also, expect to see a Comparison Test with a Model Y Performance very soon ;)

That color and them Wheels makes this car look very good

The Mustang Mach-E has grown on me - it’s really sharp, and I actually like the wheels on your spec in addition to the GT Performance. Those “flower rims” (LOL) look like a throwback to the Escort GT Turbo rims of the 80’s.

This guy has the best video's on youtube...he's very articulate, has much info on all the cars he test out, etc...love his videos!

I want a Mach E! Forget the Model Y

This Mustang Mach E is way better looking inside and outside than Tesla Y no doubt.

I love Tesla, but this is so much more attractive! Tesla models almost all look exactly the same and they are becoming as common as a Prius. 😕 I’ll take the Mach-E, thank you! 😃 In addition, Mach-E’s are getting better range than Teslas in real-world tests despite being rated the exact opposite.

Same here in Vegas - Teslas's, everywhere. Tired of it. People here are now wrapping them (all of have to have personalized plates too. Because, why not) and doing whatever they can to differentiate themselves from the horde. Its getting as bad as this "bro out your Jeep Wrangler", trend....

Idc what most of the Muscle group usually say. I'm really liking the Mach E as a performance oriented, electric workhorse. I'm a die hard V8 fan with a family history of Ford and Dodge. But this....this just seems so attractive as a DD or a camp out vehicle/road trip. Unlike most car guys, I'm accepting the wave of Electricity slowly. I won't drive a Tesla, but this I will! Give us more electric performance brands! This is like a Durango of Ford (Yes I know the Explorer exists. But it's a Explorer!). Except it's electric! It's when you can't have a sports car anymore or have to have a life where you can't fit a second or third car into it. or maybe you just hate paying for mpg for that V8 mustang you take in every so often for more and more problems. The reason Ford and all these other companies are making crossover versions of their muscle/sports cars is obvious. The generation that grew up racing Eclipses, Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers have all grown up. They had kids and need to do more then just race to work everyday. This is a happy medium. It's the Rambler wagon to the Ramble AMX. It's the "I got more going on in life, but I still love the performance." Chevy did something similar with the new Blazer. Making it all Camaro inspired with a bit of fuel efficiency. It's got the Camaro interior and fun, but the space and capabilities of the family car. I'll happy embrace this side of auto making. It shows they are listening to that generation that grew up. I have a V8 that I love to death. But it's too old to tow and too costly to keep on the road other then shows. While my Inline 3 saves me gas, it doesn't have the space, power or capability something like this would. A lot of dunderheads in the car community will spit and curse saying that Ford is coping into a Tesla. I do say, yes they might be doing that to some degree. But everyone else is. What people really want is more performance and efficiency then they got out of the Honda Daily from 1995

The interior has grown on me everytime I look at Mach E GT vs. other competitors EVs. The software infotainment system is impressive, but I would recommend the knob be used for multiple purpose changes besides just changing the volume. Key to a smart software developer is never limit your options on physical knobs and buttons. Love the fact that developers are doing over-the-air updates whenever available w/o the need to come in to dealerships. I would also like to see Ford make solar panel rooftops with sliding sunroof technology a game changer until the supercharger stations are everywhere.

You know it’s bad when actual Tesla owners are even tired of seeing Teslas. They have become as normal as Corollas. I just couldn’t see myself paying the premium for a Tesla when there are better looking, better driving, more unique, and more efficient EVs on the way. The Mach-E is great especially considering it’s level of technology. The most technologically advanced Ford currently available on the market.

Like the car, but it has no business being called a mustang...🙄Also, those wheels look like an absolute nightmare to clean! 😬

As a V8 mustang owner, this is an interesting one. I think it's elegant to look at and more importantly, quiet. Don't get me wrong, i love blasting bald eagles out of my exhaust but sometimes I would like to make a quiet entrance. I'm definitely keeping my eye on this for later in the years.

Like the Grabber Blue - reminds me of the '69 - '70 Boss 302 & Boss 429 Mustangs. It's unbelievable that this car weighs 200+ lbs more than my '98 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab Flareside pickup.

Wow, I generally haven’t liked that super blue paint on other cars, but it looks fantastic MEGT. Don’t understand why Ford only gives you one interior color. If Ford offered white interior, people would really be looking. Great review - would love to own one!

70K MSRP? Even after the 7,500 federal tax credit, you’re still approaching close to 70K after taxes, fees, etc. 49K MSRP for the base version GT and 55K MSRP for the Performance GT version would’ve been better and reasonable pricing.

It might be stupid fast. It might be a really great SUV. It's still not a Mustang. PS: That new Ford truck? It might be a really great truck. It's not a Maverick.

The color is similar to the Nitro Yellow that's on the Supra in my garage...but this "Mustang" will dust the Supra in a straight line 😂

Just got my GT Performance Edition in Rapid Red yesterday. It is wicked quick, My reaction to the acceleration was about same as the host of the video.

I like the orange but I would opt for the blue too - good choice 👍🏻 Love the reviews - good info no playing around to the point 👌🏻

Pump in the quiet, turn off the noise. The sound quality of it's stereo should be incredible in that quiet car. Red interior would look great with black, dark grey and white exteriors. Living in Florida white interior would be sweet. My First car had a dark green metallic finish with white interior, was quite the head turner and In that GT 😚 definitely sweet.

Tho, the original mustang looks great in blue. I think the cyber orange is a good color for the original mustang. The blue is a great color for the mach-e, in my opinion. The mach-e does look great in orange, but I prefer the blue more.

I don’t have anything against EV’s. However, I find it funny our government in the US isn’t implementing EV’s first in trains, police cars, fire trucks, planes, and ambulances. I digress, I really dig this EV by Ford vs anything Tesla.

Next year, I am getting the Mach E GT Performance AND the Mustang Mach 1 with a manual. 2 year lease on this, until my Tesla Roadster is ready, and a purchase of the Mach 1

I got to drive my Daughters Grabber Boss Blue GT performance and it was so awesome to drive. The heated steering wheel and seats are simply hot! What a car!

I like everything about this but the gigantic screen stuck on the dash.........so it'll be a no go for me.

Looks like a great all around car. I'm glad to see they fixed a lot of the things you mentioned when you first reviewed it. I do wish there was more trunk space, though. That's the only thing that might be a deal breaker for me.

People shit on this car so much despite the fact it's like objectively one of, if not the best overall EV on the market. Much better build quality than tesla and most other brands, good value and practicality, not to mention the performance, I'd take this over any of the BMW EV's no question.

Everyone knows that whatever range they say it is, it’s a lot less. So 270 meaning more like 250 and if you live in a COLD environment it will be even less. Not hating I think it’s beautiful but I’m just letting everyone know of things you might not think of when buying electric ⚡️

Playing catch-up…. Range is not good enough… forget performance, increase range to 500 mph if u want to take some market share

The Mach E GT and the Kia EV6 both near a similar price and both are interesting. I would lean toward the Kia at the moment.

What I like about this design is Ford didn't just take the current mustang design and fatten it up into an SUV shape like all the other car manufacturers do.

I turn the propulsion sound off on my Mach E. I prefer the silence. I think that adds to the electric vehicle feel as opposed to pretending to be making noise. Will for sure be looking to get in to the MMEGTPE (wow!) when I am done with this lease on my current Mach E Premium AWD. I absolutely love it. But if I want to feel the full power of what this vehicle can offer.

Wow with this, Maverick and Lightning Ford is really challenging both Tesla and Toyotas dominance in electrification. Honda, GM, where are you??

Really like how it looks but at that front 3/4 view it kind of looks like an infinity with that grill...

This is what I like an electric car with some personality on the inside. I love the Tesla model X but I'ma wait and see what they do with the interior.

Its great to see Ford competing with Tesla, good for the consumers. Looks like the magna ride in the GTPE gives it superior driving and handling capabilities. How do you compare comfort and handling with the Model Y?

I don't know about anybody else!!!! but I'm getting tired of the whole tablet interior thing. It's not attractive.

This is quite simply, ( it feels like anyway ) a Tesla Model Y performance, made by a *legacy* automaker.... But some Mustang stans I met recently still is steaming with the use of the Mustang name on a "stupid" crossover EV thing... "Sacrilage" and "Blasphemy" was some of the words I heard them mutter.... But I don't care, This thing is awesome in an insane way!

just 2 quick comments. The rear diffuser is different on the GT's vs the regular Mach-e. Also i dont believe the frunk divders can be added in. there's not groves for them in the new frunk based on video and pictures.

Do you see how the rear seats are cock back in a lounging position? I never seen that lay out before.

Toyota should upgrade the motor in the Prius and sell it as a Supra. Honda should stick an electric motor in a Pilot and call it a NSX. Electric Jeep? Call it a Challenger.

The Mach E is NOT a head turner unless you get it in a head turner color. I saw one 3 months ago at my local gas station, dark grey, no one payed any attention to it at all, I didnt even know they came out at that time. It looked so plain.

Fun review! I like the styling over the frumpy Y. It will probably hold up better, since Tesla is ranked 28th of 29 mfgs. for reliability by Consumer Reports, and also near the bottom of the barrel by JD Power. I would like to see the Mach-e's screen be able to rotate 90 degrees to offer landscape viewing, and also tilt toward the driver. At least it has a center screen, not found on the Y. No mention of charging capability in the review.

The only thing I wish Ford would change with this vehicle is that screen. Mercedes did a much better job with their screen in the new SL 63. Ford should minimize that screen and recess it somehow in the dashboard..

The blue is pretty, but I like the metallic orange better.

What’s the clicking noise every time you get on the accelerator? Sounds very loud on the recording. Is that noticeable while driving?

The 5 second Full power limit is what kills this car. If they would have spent more money building quality wires with insulation, so that it doesn't melt would have been really good.

Mustang Mach E is my favorite electric vehicle. Would relocate side marker lights from wheel area into or near headlight/tail light assemblies. Don't like side marker placement in wheel area on any vehicle ... Tesla's are ok, but very bland exterior & even more bland interiors ... Well done vid ! Slainte' ! Cheers !

Why no leather? Active-x is vinyl which is oil based material. Leather is better for environment unless we are not eating beef.
