Good job man. I have my 2023 on order since July. Was told it was built in Aug. Delivery date is showing in October. Strange that they let them sit for so long with out delivering them and collecting the money. Either way, I can't wait.
Thanks for the review! Just got my hand on a metallic blue one a few days ago, after hunting for about 3 months. They are so hard to find these days as most are sold even before arriving at dealerships! Never even test-drove the euv before, but I'm loving it. Coming from a 2017 volt, the transition was easy for me. IMO, the 1-pedal driving feature is spot on for city driving. Also loving the build quality (interior & exterior), seat comfort, wireless phone charging, & wireless Android Auto. And yes, the suspension does feel a little solf but it's geared more toward comfort and not a sports car, like you mentioned. Thanks again! You've helped me make the right decision. I think it's a great value.
@@1885173 Loving it. Coming from my previous car Volt, it was an easy transition. Even in recent cold weather, I still get 200 miles on the freeway (w climate control on). My other car is the BRZ and I enjoy driving the Bolt much more.
I love my 2019 Bolt. It is practical and affordable. OK so it's not a road warrior. The LG battery recall was a pain but now my battery is under warranty until NOV2029 and 148,000 miles. A used Bolt is the best deal out there,, they all have new 2022 rated batteries.
Good Review. I have one picked out but waiting for the dreaded battery replacement. Test drove it and was really impressed. Have been a Japanese car fan for years moving away from GM due to better quality vehicles. Now, everyone else is embracing EV but Japan. Yes, it's not a Tesla but I'm not looking for a Tesla. Running around town car, not too big... it's perfect. I can't wait until I get mine.
Thanks for checking out my review Tim! Sorry to hear about the battery but i think you will find the EUV very practical for running around town..etc after you get it. Also congrats!
@@steven4315 my only concern is the fact that they can't even get the 2022's out. Not sure they can do anything with the 2023s. What good is a price drop when you can't get one
Solid review! I have a 2021 Chevrolet bolt and I love it! I was thinking about upgrading to a EUV because GM contacted me and asked me if I wanted to upgrade because of the recalls but I said no because I have a oasis blue bolt and I honestly don’t like the colors of the current EUV.. and I also live in Ca so I would have to pay for the usage I’ve done in my bolt whereas other states it’s a straight msrp swap. I think in the future I’ll sell my bolt and try to get myself into a Model Y but for now I’m enjoying it (:
Ed! Glad you like your bolt! Honestly upgrading to the EUV will just come down to choice at that point but you have some valid reasons to stick with what you have minus the color options. I’m a huge fan of wrapping vehicles so I’m a little biased there. Now the model Y i think you will definitely enjoy! Also thanks for checking out my review!
Awesome review!!! Love your energy and wisdom. Everything you said encouraged me that I did my research well and am making the right choice with this car. I’m test driving one of these in a few days and this really helped prepare me for all the features and the feel. Every time a question popped into my head, like whether taller people would be comfortable in the backseat or how the one-pedal driving works, you answered it! Im going to feel much more confident talking to the dealer now. So I’m just coming to the comments to say great job!!!
A BIG Thank You to you T A! I appreciate the compliments and thank you for taking the time to watch my review! These are exactly the things i hope to happen when people watch my reviews! Happy to know it was informative for you! Good luck at the dealership and i hope you enjoy the bolt as much as i did!
@@MeliMeli66 it was definitely a challenge. I was told that they’re selling out quickly because a lot of people who had earlier models recalled due to battery issues are getting 2022 replacements and the car is already in high demand on the market. Meanwhile, inventory is limited because production is switching to 2023 models. I had to call around a lot to see if anyone had unsold units in transit, because most places are selling out before the cars even reach the dealerships. I was able to put a holding deposit on one that should arrive in about a month. It doesn’t match all the features I initially wanted, I still have to wait a while to get it, and the dealership is about 2 hours from me, but the car meets my needs and will arrive sooner than if I’d attempted to get one custom made at the factory. Placing an order directly with Chevrolet and picking it up at a local dealer may be the best option for you if you can’t find any unsold inventory. You’ll just have to call dealers to make sure they’re willing to do that (I tried placing orders on the website but the dealers I selected as delivery locations said they’re not participating in any Bolt sales or deliveries. I don’t know why, but please ask or your order will just get lost in the ether). Also keep in mind that the $6,300 discount ends on July 5th and most dealerships will not honor it unless the car arrives before then. If you’re willing to wait longer, you could ask dealers whether they’re currently taking orders for 2023 Bolts. Those will take a while to come but the starting MSRP is already $6,300 cheaper than the 2022 models. I wish you the best!
@@ta756 Thank you so much for your detailed response. The valuable and in depth information you provided will help my family and I decide. Have a great day today.
Great review. When you’re in the backseat, tell us your height so we can gauge. You clearly aren’t 6’6” so when you gave that reference it was hard for me to know. Thanks!!
@@WizLovesCars Thanks. The lack of a spare tire makes me wonder whether car companies and/or consortia of car companies are standardizing on wheel mounting and tire sizes for cars *not* equipped with spare tires so that road service vehicles can carry a *small* assortment of mounted spare tires to supply to cars as needed. Since a car's owner would have no practical way to keep such a spare for future use by a car, due to lack of a place to stow it, I must wonder if those temporary tires, no longer actual spares, would be Rental Tires. (Note that my thoughts evolved within a single sentence.) I just realized that there can already be a problem for a loaded car equipped with a temporary spare to store a damaged tire since it would not fit into the storage location for the small spare. Even if there would be room ahead of the rear seat, or in the cargo area or trunk, a dirty or wet or snowy tire could make trouble in the interior. Do service vehicles carry bags or some other containers to package those tired for carrying in the car passenger compartment? Would the road side service vehicle perhaps transport the damaged tire for the motorist? Many other issues arise. Someone should research this and publish an article, or a RU-vid video, on the issue. Perhaps there is an opportunity for new tire & battery business. I'll provide this feedback to AAA and to Chevrolet too. I've been a AAA member for over 50 years. I worked for GM over 50 years ago. Both have probably thought of this, and perhaps have already addressed it. Maybe AAA has published the needed info which I just never found and read. Maybe Chevrolet is working on such standardization. BUT, maybe one or both needs a Heads Up.
I wouldn’t say it is really soft and bouncy. I think its pretty balanced depending on the terrain but overall you wont bounce too much and will still have a comfortable ride quality on moderately bumpy roads. Have you done a test drive yet? Also Thanks for watching Stefan!
I own a 2022 Bolt EUV and I can tell you it's a firm and solid ride and great handling. I do 220 miles a day as a traveling salesman. I love the vehicle and BTW mileage is way underrated ;)
They just lowered the price of this which makes it semi-affordable. It's like an econo-EV. But it's only 200HP...same as my current car. I think I'll go for the f150 lightning which is more than double the HP. And slightly nicer trim quality.
Thanks for checking out my review Dennis, I’m 5’9 195. Also please elaborate on keeping the cam on the subject because the car is in focus the whole time + broll
I get what he's saying about keeping the camera on the subject. For example, at times you were discussing specific buttons and icons on the screen but the camera didn't stay on them.
BS! BS! Tell all the history of the Bolt! (Batteries catching fire!...and they haven't fixed/compensated thousands of previous Bolt owners and their "fire bursting"battery packs!) I repeat...BS!!! Sad. Weak! Really sad. Be honest & keep it real! Are you being paid??? Sad.
This seems personal, has this happened to you or people that you care about? Also no i am not being paid. Either way thanks for checking out my review Edwin!
@@WizLovesCars So if its not my family, I shouldn't tell the truth? >>>> So if I go by your response... you don't care about your ommisions and the complete Bolt situation because all the viewers are not family or someone you know.? (At least you kept who you really are real!!!)
@@edwinclaudio8081 not what i said i just asked a clarifying question. The comment section is a safe space. I care about people in general but i was interested in your experience overall on the matter. So tell me more about that
Yeah....and tell the truth about gasoline cars catching fire and having to be recalled...OMG...those gasoline powered cars are dangerous!! Geez buddy can you be more lame? ALL cars can (and some do) have manufacturing defects that can cause fires!!!! Ask VW, Ford, Chrysler, etc. - they have all had problems at one time or another... Mike 🇨🇦 🍁
@@WizLovesCars great honest review man! Thank you...oh and as for Bolt owners being taken care of I know several with older generation Bolts who have/are going through the battery recall and GM is handling this OK. I would give them a 6 out 10. Every Bolt owner out there with a recalled car will get a replacement pack with a full new 8 year 100000 mile warranty. So at least it is being dealt with fairly well. Have a great day man! Mike 🇨🇦 🍁 👍
