I have a '21 Accord Touring 2.0T and despite the fact that the '23 has newer tech and gets better fuel economy, I wouldn't even consider it over my '21. The 2.0T is so good in the 10th gen Accord. The more you drive it, the more you appreciate it and love it. It truly is a gem of a vehicle. I was at the dealer getting mine serviced just yesterday and got into a conversation with one of the salespersons and he and I talked about how Honda dumbed down the performance and fun factor in the new model. He said there have been numerous people who have mentioned it and he also encouraged me to keep mine because the demand would be high in the future. I just wish Honda had dropped the 1.5T engine, offered the hybrid as their core engine and kept the 2.0T option for those of us who prefer more performance.

💯 I just got a 2019 2.0 a little over a month ago. So glad I did. Haven't had many chances to stretch its legs, but when I have been able to lay into the throttle, it's incredible! Gas mileage in heavy traffic is pretty bad, even in Eco, but in the burbs and highway, I'm completely satisfied.

If you're coming from a hybrid to another hybrid then it makes more sense. For people coming from the 2.0T it's hard to now just get a hybrid if you had no interest whatsoever for it in the past. To me I'm in-between as I like better MPGs but some power at the same time. If this was a 300hp hybrid then that's a different story.

@jeffjo8732
@jeffjo8732 Год назад
The push-button shifter was one of the best features. It really took only 2 days to adjust to the difference, which really wasn't that different. You do have to "find" the right button instead of the stick, but that is trivial. And easier to do without looking once you learn.Slide your hand down the array while pushing lightly with your index finger, and it just "falls" onto the Reverse button without fail. And the Drive button is so big, with a raised rim, that it is easier to find without looking than the stick. And once you have "soft" shifting, you can change the setting to shift into park when you turn the car off. You really don't use the other buttons except in isolated situations, like a pull-thru car wash for the Neutral button. And then there is the extra room. No, I'm upset they ditched it.

Honda flopped this “new” model imo . They had an amazing edge on original style and direction with the 9th and 10th generation models.. no v6 no thanks ☺️

No it doesn’t😂 I just bought my wife the 11th gen sport and I wouldn’t trade it for a 10th gen even if they gave me money on top, stock for stock the 11th gen is better but customized I have to agree the 10th gen is sleeker, but that’s it

I will take the old one, the new one looks older than the previous generation. The designers clearly were asleep when they drew the sketches for this new generation. Its sad seeing what Honda has done to the Accord, it look horrible now in my opinion.

The 10th gen looks better, drives better and more fun. What a joke of an engine in the 11th gen. Who cares about the interior, if you take out the fun of driving?

Agree. Modern cars are removing the fun and visceral feel from the entire experience. No wonder why older analog machines are in high demand.

9:45 "You can tell that it's not just the gas motor that's propelling the car." This is misrepresented. The gas *_engine_* is not propelling the car at all when you accelerate, or are under 40 mph. Only the electric *_motor_* is. In fact, from any performance assessment, this is a true electric vehicle. It's just not a *_battery_* EV, it is a *_generator_* *_plus_* *_battery_* EV.

I hate that the '23 gives off Taurus vibes. How large a screen do people actually need?! The one in the far better looking and more fun to drive '22 is large enough. Will some people not be happy until a screen is so large that it replaces the windshield and we'll need a camera to see ahead?! Give me a 1989 Accord Lxi 5sp, and I'll be happy.
