Sounds like fun as you were winding up the engine, shifting gears and making sharp turns. With its light weight how ideal it would be to throw it around the canyon. Dope car for sure.
Vehicle Virgins Awesome Video I think that 2023 Civic Type R looks absolutely incredible inside and out and sounds pretty cool and I can't wait to see your POV drive Review
I like that people are butthurt at you for saying It's 45k when that Is Indeed It's MSRP, maybe they should readjust that negative energy at the people actually ridiculous enough to pay 20k over sticker for a Honda hatchback.
This car is so much fun. Honestly coming from a car with no rev match and never having that it’s pretty dang cool and it makes it super super easy to drive. And like you say its crazy how hard it is to stall this car. Really with the rev Match I feel like almost anybody could learn to drive this car pretty easily. It’s such a great car to drive. The power is pretty amazing the way it puts it down so well. (I’m Coming from a 9th gen si just for reference)
What is the reason the type r feels faster than it really is? Does it have to do with the front wheel drive? I myself ordered a type r in Belgium will probably have to wait more than a year. First series is already sold out due to limited number
Of all the wrong styling... you think they would have got the placement of the exhaust pipes right on this model. it looks so better than the previous model, but when the see the middle exiting exhausts... it's a real disappointment. I wonder if it's possible for some to make a rear diffuser to incorporate exhaust pipes in the positions that an M3 would have...
This car is $10k more than I paid for my 2020 Fk8. And to have the car even slower than the outgoing model, it's pretty bad. I liked the look of the Fk, but, I can appreciate this look, as well. Also, wheres the 0-60 test, you talked about, at the beginning of the video?
Yeah I've never bought a new car (driving a used kia soul my step dad sold me lmao) but I'm thinking of making this one my first while also learning to drive manual. Still gonna wait a few months first before I get one.
@Mel Low making 400 a month, 20k being made. 10k already sold out to Japan. 600 for Canada 600 for Europe split the rest of the markets up and 7500 is generous on figure.
Thank you for the review, Parker. I have been looking at selling my 2012 Civic Si and getting the Type R when the rediculous markups start to go down. This put me in the definitely will buy category now.
@@HyphenDude I've been trying to hunt down a 2023 Supra A91 6MT with no luck and out of the 50-60 dealerships I have called across the country less than half charge over Msrp. As soon as they said markup of $15k-$20k our conversations were over and I moved on. I'm ok with maybe $2-$5k mark up max, but $15-$20k? Gtfoh.
40-45 grand?! LOL the sticker is like 44k so 40k would be a loss for the dealer and I've never ever seen one go for 45k. Maaaaaaybe 60? Have u been living under a rock?
That’s awesome, but not everyone judges a cars worth by it’s 0-60MPH time and they value things such as build quality and emotion. I owned a 2019 M3P and while fun as a daily it was not an engaging car whatsoever and the build quality was absolute trash to the point that both the front and rear bumpers of my metallic red car were about 3 shades off from the metal parts…..even my Mom questioned WTF was going on with the two tone paint scheme. I’ve heard they’ve gotten better since but after seeing a friend of mines 2022 I disagree….. his paint was fine but his car was black so pretty hard to screw that up however fit and finish still 🗑
Honda's reliability is on a whole different level , plus if you do anything more than just driving in the city electric cars quickly become inconvenient and expensive.
@@fb6039 Not true, my wife and I have been road tripping all over the country in her Tesla Model 3 for years, never had an issue. Drive for 4 to 5 hours, stopped to charge for 15 minutes, get back on the freeway for another 4 to 5 hours. Works out great!
@Volkan a guy with a Dodge Challenger V8 scat pack rode in my car, and every time I floored it he giggled like a little kid. He couldn't stop exclaiming "how is this thing so fast?" As for the batteries, there are Tesla owners with hundreds of thousands of miles on their car with still original battery not needing replacement
I don’t get the title. You RU-vidr are out of touch with reality. It’s the best car under 45k? Who is able to buy this car under 45k ? Who is this video targeted to ?
I do like the fact Honda still refuse to put an automatic in it... If you want to drive this car... be a real driver and drive stick & change your own gears....
@@Illuminatisevil junk? You're a dickhead to say that lol.. it's not the 90s anymore Damian.. Hyundai N division are a class leader in it's segment, dominating the motor industry in TRC and WRC. the Elantra N was designed and engineered by ex BMW M division head engineers . They drive as well as a type R if not better , steering definitely is and the DCT is quicker, nicer suspension and sound shitloads better. It's essentially a affordable BMW m2. Honda arnt the same as they used to be, they survive in Australia by their badge only. Sales are terrible and they've priced themselves out of most markets. Not as reliable as they once were either. They're only really still big in north America only, as there's better alternatives in other countries that you guys don't get. You're clueless. All petrol cars will drop in price with EVs and hybrids taking over , Especially the type r which isn't even worth it's MSRP price hike over the last gen which I felt drove better , all be it not as fun and manic to drive as the fl5. Each to their own though. If I'm spending 72k on a type r im paying a few k more for a golf r any day of the week.. The Elantra N especially the model we get in Australia just offers everything the type r does with more luxury features, just as fun on track and more comfortable as a daily. No brainer.
@@mharro88 That’s fair.I just think the Type R looks bad ass. It’s totally worth 50k and being a numbered car built in Japan will not lose much value especially when inflation ain’t going anywhere anytime soon. The Hyundai might be better in some ways but doesn’t have the heritage of Honda or the Type R.And last but not least which car will last the longest,I’m betting on the Honda.
Idk what You smoking 😒 how is 45k good price for a car that only does 315 HP wroth it? I rather buy mustang for that price , anhway it sound better and faster
A brand new Civic type R just sold on cars and bids for 53,000. This officially puts it at the same price as a Tesla Model 3 performance. Not to mention the model 3 could net you 7500 in tax rebates. Which begs the question.... Would you pay more for a CTR than a M3P?
@@njalsten6766 well, it was bid to 49,000 and with the platform fee the total for the buyer would be roughly 53,000. It looks like the reserve wasn't met, so the sale isn't final. But people have been paying even more at dealerships
Considering the Tesla Model 3 Performance is now 46,500 after tax credit, this Civic type r has some serious competition. Not to mention you're unlikely to find a civic type R for under $50,000 after markup.
