Happy Monday everyone! We finally got our hands on the redesigned Range Rover! Few things scream sophisticated luxury like British motoring and while the newest Range Rover may not look all that different from the previous version, everything about this new model says opulent luxury. Our money would probably go toward the V8 or PHEV, the P400 version has just enough power, but if you can afford this vehicle, we highly recommend spending a bit more for the additional grunt.
Seamus Mcfitz you are wrong. A 2018 RR is commanding 67,000 USD Today just as much as a LANDCRUISER and LX570. RR, BMW Are highly sought after. Toyota products are waaaaay overpriced. Also, RANGE ROVER outsells LEXUS LX570, GX460 and Toyota LANDCRUISER by 3:1 Combined. Meaning RR will sell 3 RR before a LX570, GX460 OR LANDCRUISER SELLS one unit. I know I said LX570 and not lx600 because the latter was just released and the numbers/Data aren't available
@@1malikalik Not quite. 2018 LX570s still command nearly $90K.(and it is not my favorite vehicle). But $150K Range Rover LWBs lose nearly 70% of their value during that time.
@@hellkitty1014 Not true. Google. I will admit tho, RR Do depreciate significantly but a 2018 LX Does not cost 90 Grand in 2022. A New LX600 costs 90 to 120k. Granted the LANDCRUISER can command 90 Grand because it's now discontinued in USA. But my original argument was: LANDCRUISER sales were decimal and RR Sales and Popularity have increased exponentially in the last decade.
Status symbol is nothing. This shows that you're an absolute idiot for buying one of these. True story, my brother-in-law went to a Land Rover dealer this past week and test drove one of these things. The sales person insisted of taking it to one of thier off road simulator track behind the dealership. In the middle of the driving test the vehicle stop working while he was on a 45 degree bank. They tried starting it and it wouldnt even crank over. Needless to say they had to hop off and walk the rest of the track. The sales person said they have another one for him to try and my brother-in-law was like "ARE YOU SERIOUS!!" He walked away then came back to the dealership that same day with a new Mercedes GLS 63 AMG and told them, "This is how a luxury SUV should work" and walked out.
@@sholagan Actually 4 customers that day saw what happened and left as well. So do the math. People will spread what happend there. Plus with how things are right now, he'll be lucky if he can even move 5 cars a month.
I wish that they would make the Orange indicators on the rear working instead of the brake lights as turn signals and hazmat. The Orange turn indicators/hazmat are located on each side of the name RANGE ROVER, like the Euro spec way or in other markets and when you open the rear doors, the bottom lights become the hazard lights when the orange indicators are blocked by the rear door.
I've been looking forward to this review, I always appreciate the practicality. I love this new RR and have been curious to see how an adult fits in the 3rd row- both leg & head room. Some reviewers said the ride is bumpy with the larger wheels, but Sofyan didn't mention it. I'd actually prefer these wheels if they were a 22" maybe even 21", just to make the ride even more comfortable. In terms of negatives, I've also heard that road noise can be noticeable but it could be because the cabin is so quiet in general.
Another great review. While this vehicle is more than a guy like me can afford I do appreciate the style and interior design. Love the color of the interior. You see so many with black, and I do understand it’s easier to keep clean, but a beautiful color like this is worth the extra time you may need to keep it looking good.
I delivered parts to A Range Rover dealership a few years ago. There were always brand new vehicles in the repair shop that hadn't even been sold yet. There was one in particular that had the dashboard and every seat out of the vehicle. I asked the tech who was working on it and he said, electrical gremlins. Yeah right, brand new it's practically useless. I don't see the status in that. But as usual Soyfan is enthralled with a foreign vehicle that is overpriced, unreliable, and might break down before you can get it halfway home.
@@herczeus9341 obviously they don’t compare ,I’m pointing out the luxury spectrum not price comparison iE good enough meaning entry level luxury and really really good meaning top of the food chain lol
I’d still take the palisade. This LR will cost sooo much in repair costs guaranteed after the warranty expires. Which shocks me that they can’t build these vehicles to be more reliable after so many years of reports of all the vehicles from Land Rover have horrible mechanical and electrical track records.
When I see these on the road. I double take expecting to see the windows roll down, and a couple of masked up guys with a couple of HK MP5’s hanging out causing trouble 🤷♂️🤷♂️ but then it’s just usually a cute Momma in Yoga pants with an iced latte 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ I digress 😎😎😎😎
These and Mercedes seem to be a fav of Doctors. All over the parking lot here at the Hospital i work at. These and S class & E class. They have a few cheap commuter cars tho too like Subaru Crosstreks.
Sofyan, driver assist or any Semi-autonomous feature? Thanks- great job- you always do so well and you most certainly have the best gams in the game- yes sir!
This was another good review, Sofyan. However, you never seem happy with the size of the display screen. No matter the size, you always want it bigger. Lmao. I felt that screen was a perfect size. But, to each his own. Have a great week.
I've never really liked range rovers, never have, and I still don't like it. But this one was actually pretty impressive. Although Range Rovers are still way too expensive and are usually not as reliable as most cars.
I don’t see this new 2023 Range Rover doing very well. These days we’re being spoiled by all the luxury and high-tech in the new Escalade. I’ve tried both and the Escalade is more stable and not as bouncy as this Range Rover. These days the Escalade is unrivaled with the level of integration with the flowing, beautiful 38 inch 4K OLED Screen and Super Cruise. Is just too easy to choose the superior technology of the Escalade. This new Range Rover is in need of a redesign interior wise, add an autonomous system get rid of all the slapped on screens and add better looking seats.
Range Rover makes some of the most beautiful and tech savvy vehicles , but it’s a shame for the price they are so unreliable so my advice is if you get one don’t drive it much .
Very nice SUV but expensive as hell. Like always, land rover has not been the most reliable in the past. Hopefully this all new landie is different. Brilliant truck though.
@@billydanzzyes you are right there sir. and probably the people who can afford them are not looking for a car to drive for the next 12 years. If it stuffs up after 2 years, they just buy a new one.
Auto start-stop can be experienced as very annoying, and is bad for the starter engine (if there is one), bad for turbos and bad for the engine itself. Check what Scotty Kilmer says about it. Many downsides, few plus points imo.
I,ll stick to a 10 year old toyota lancruiser with a few 100,000 miles on the clock ⌚⏰ ? Even if it's not driven carefully or maintained regularly will always get you where you want to go??. Usually?.
I drove my first Range Rover earlier this year as a ‘22 HSE model (via Enterprise). I was pleasantly surprised with it all minus the P400. I’ve always like the Land Rover/Range Rover family but stayed away from JLR due to their…um longevity issues. I’m actually really loving the new ‘23 Range Rover Sport. Sexy has Hell. Going between that or the ‘23 GMC Denali Ultimate Duramax as my next and last ICE vehicle.
Range rovers are beautiful inside and out, but i can't stand the sluggish software. Its unbelievable that 2023 model STILL HAVE LAGS SCREEN. I don't know y they cant fix that, its super easy for them. "I'm a tech guide b4 im a car guy" (MKBHD).
plush and luxurious... but I think they should have done more on the exterior to further differentiate it from the previous gen...it's been ten years and I'm still seeing the same vehicle...disappointing
Yeah Range Rovers & Land Rovers in general have been getting more expensive each year in the past few years, & I don't think the chip shortage is helping their prices either. The Range Rover Sport alone has gotten so expensive now since it now starts at $83k before you configure it to add the options you want
It's the best there is in the segment. The only reason to buy something else is if you need one of the larger American entries. Sorry BMW and Mercedes, you don't get it here. Only the G-Class compares in clout/prestige/customer demand. The GLS and X7 are out of their league here. Even the Bentley and Rolls SUVs don't look as good, not sure if their interiors are that much better either, if at all.
So its a Range Rover.... not a Land Rover Range Rover.....LOL.... just like a Cadillac is just a Cadillac and not referred to as a Chevrolet or General Motors Cadillac OR a Toyota Lexus and so on.... Semantics right!! Past that nice video and good info.... thx much !!
Luxury without reliability is worthless. When the engines would go land rover didn't fix or compensate the customers. Further there are too many things wrong with Range Rover or parts fail too often and easily.
I leased a 2019 land rover that ran hot cause the hoses developed holes in them ... the car was still under warranty but the hoses arent covered ... when they told me it was 4000 to get that car fixed i was irate... i left it right where it was.. i will never buy or lease a land rover ... never
