The 2023 Mazda CX-50 Preferred Plus has Everything You Need 

What I love about your channel is that you always review many of the trim levels including the lowest ones while other RU-vidrs review the highest trim levels as if the average person is going to buy those. Many of us will not purchase the highest of highest trim levels.

This would be my second choice for a color.

What I would like is those wheels for the higher trims. I wonder if a simple swap can be done without causing any suspension issues.

I am in Canada and I was interested in a cx 50 but the wait time here is 11 to 12 months. I own two Mazdas now and 7 of them overall but a year wait time has me looking elsewhere.

Why doesn’t the other part of the head light work on the CX 50 next to the normal low/high beam? If doesn’t turn on?

I ain’t gonna lie, I went to look at the CX-30, CX-5,and CX-50 and to be honest I liked the CX-30 and CX-5. The CX-50 was too big for me. While on vacation I rented the CX-30 Turbo and loved the power, torque and handling. My friend has the CX-5 non turbo and didn’t like it as much like I liked the CX-30. I’m gonna go and test drive the CX-5 turbo.

Have you heard when the Premium trim will be available? That would be our ideal trim because it bundles full leather and Bose with the smaller wheels.

I own a ‘22 Mazda 3 turbo, it’s a great car but I’m finding it the small size. Been thinking about buying a cx50, I like the smaller wheel version better but want a turbo engine and they only come with 20’s.

Does the 2024 have heads up display HUD? On this package? Is it available on any of their SUV’s?

Is there CX-50 preferred only? When is it gonna come out, any idea?

Hi Jonathan, great video. Two weeks into my CX-50 Preferred Plus and I'm very happy with it. I am getting used to some of the differences with the pervious CX-5 that I had. Something interesting that I found was this. Back on November 1 I test drove a CX-50 Premium Plus. I didn't feel that the ride was all that different from the Preferred Plus, but one thing stood out. I found that the seats in the Premium Plus were not as comfortable as in the Preferred Plus. In the Premium Plus it felt like the seat was pinching my rear end, something that I don't find the the seats in the Preferred Plus. A funny thing happened on Monday. As I started driving from my house I saw parked on the side of my street a black CX-50. As I pulled along side I saw the driver inside, so I stopped, lowered my passenger window, and we started chatting about out CX-50s. His is also a Preferred Plus, and he's had it for about a month. His previous car was a Mazda6 sedan (I didn't ask what year). He is also very happy with his CX-50. We had a good laugh talking about our cars.

Great video! Will Mazda be offering the CX-50 as a hybrid? Most others including the Rav-4 and the new CRV offer a hybrid option.

7:19 I've had an issue with a rip in the side of the seat. It's not in the seam, it's in the middle of the side piece. If u look closely ( at 6:42 ) u can see where that car has a little faint line where it's starting to wear. That's where mine has ripped open. I'm putting a leather patch over it. Unacceptable because I baby my new car. That shouldn't happen. But other than that I love my 2023 CX 50.

How much CX 50 preffered plus? Is there any Mazda in Mississippi?

Does this model have the auto folding mirrors feature? Because I can’t seem to manually fold them nor find a button for the auto feature?

Nothing compared to the Cx50 what an amazing car, i drove one just yesterday and i totally fell in love with it but i ended up getting a Honda just to be safe 😅

I think the 17 inch wheels look a little small. Other than that the car is another winner from Mazda.

Can you convert Far. , Miles to Celc. , Km???? And FM 88-108 even numbers??? I mean not USD/Canada Standart. I mean Europe Staandart.

There isn't enough storage in the front. Mazda should offer storage on doors like the forester or on dashboard like the rav4.

Is there cylinder deactivation on the non turbo model?

I don’t like how the cheaper trim levels look without the silver painted front and rear fake skid plates and the black wheels make the cladding overall more dramatic

I ain't gonna lie, I went to my local Mazda dealership to buy the CX-50. When I sat inside, I thought the windows were too small. Out of curiosity, I tried the CX-5 and thought it was perfect!

Are you sure those seats are waterproof? I don't recall seeing that in any of the Mazda literature but I may have missed it. Very cool if they are!

I was kinda scammed. I got my CX 50 last Saturday, and I asked for the black wheels. They wanted extra money. On Friday I saw they marked down the price to what they sold my car as and then told me they didn’t give it to me cause it was too new on their lot and don’t give me the black wheels. They’re tryna say they will quote me to get them painted I refuse to pay for. I’m not happy

Why?? Why did they move the cup holder there??? If I put my Stanley cup in there or any tumbler it will block the ac and heater! Come on!

Really nice vehicle. I'm always one to get cars with leather seats, but this seat material is awesome. I'd be happy with it. Also, in a different note... does anyone have a Mazda with the red leather? I have a 2021 cx9 Carbon. The red leather gets dark spots that I cannot remove. It doesn't hold up as well as I'd hoped. Anyone else have any red leather issues?

That's lot of plastics around the vehicle it will get gray

Cleaning paint is easier than cleaning that nasty black plastic that once dirty, always dirty.

Doin't want a glass roof.......Doctors orders...........can not accept black wheels..........Otherwise nice car............Paul

Unfortunately it has no Sirius XM unless you step up to a higher package. Bad move by Mazda. Have to get the Premium to use my subscription.

Mazda is falling behind the likes of Hyundai and Kia as far as value for the price. The Tucson and Sportage both offer more features for the money than Mazda. Mazda's interiors seem to be stuck in like 2018. It's a shame because I really like their exterior design language and drivability. But I just can't justify paying the same or more for fewer features.
