It's kind of insane how much my perception of this car changed just because they finally have a stick😂 I didn't like anything about his car, then one day I wake up to a notification saying there's a manual and all the sudden I love everything about it. I NEED one. I wish I could afford it :(

That's the great thing about cars. You can get what you personally like and not care about what others buy. I bought a 2021 Supa and love it. It's not manual and I don't care, I've had a bunch of those in the past and can always buy another. The thing is, the auto Supra is manual! There's just no clutch. You have two ways to control the gears if you want. Everyone should think about cars in this way. To each their own.

@@JustinPerrin I mean I never cared if other people liked the car or not, when I was younger I used to rip on people with slammed Honda's that sounded like lawnmowers but I grew out of that. I like to just see people involved with cars, but for my own personal preference, manual is king, I love it. It turns driving into more of an experience for me...even if it is slower technically. I don't judge people who don't drive or have a manual car, I just prefer it for my own car. I do however try to urge people who have never driven manual to at least try it, I think most would never go back if they tried and got the hang of it. Also when the car first came out I thought it was weird that it was basically a BMW...but I've since changed my mind on that too....I like bmws anyway, it's what I personally drive(it is stick) I just thougt it was weird that Toyota didn't actually develop the car from the bottom to the top on their own, but again, I've since changed my mind, just glad to see that Toyota has a good modern sports car out.

As a B58 Manual owner (BMW M140i 480bhp), I can only imagine what it's like on this better handling platform. However with a decent exhaust the sound combined with the manual transmission is such a great experience. I mainly end up in 2nd-3rd gear on the majority of the driving roads which don't have long straights, but the B58 just pulls even in stock form.

You just need to spend extra on a manual. Automatic is around £50,000 and manual is around £57,000. (GT Pro trim)

Well, I have a Z4 E89 Sdrive 35i (N54) and it has the exact same gear ratio's for all 6 gears... I looked up the values of both cars.

My first 2 cars were Supras when I was in college. With family and growth we moved over to BMW sedans (5 & M5) but always with a manual! When Toyota announced the Supra was coming back I was all too ready to go back to my first love, BUT Toyota threw me for loop when they said no manual.......That was a none starter and complete deal breaker for me! With Toyota out of the running, I looked at getting my first corvette but wait they did the same freaking thing and so did BMW no stick. Out of no where comes the Cadillac Blackwing with a stick..So I zero in on the Cadillac but then Toyota says “I hear you” and does this..... No doubt in part in response to their old rival the Z....You never forget your first love. So the marriage of BMW and Toyota is far from a bad thing for me...I think I might have to go with the Supra again since this will probably be my last stick and probably my last combustion car...

Sounds gimmicky but I’ll see how that goes; but realistically I’ll probably be done with the stick after my next car even if there are some creative engineers keeping it on life support!

@SKE. Hebi I like the looks of the z too but the fact is....the supra is a better performing car in every aspect and that is more important to me as an auto cross driver. I love the heritage the z new z brings but that motor and the way the gearing and computers work in that car are just not it. Not to mention I had a 2023 nismo 370z and it sounded league's better than this new one. The b58 inline 6 twinscroll motor is a masterpiece. The handling dynamics of the supra are insane especially coming from the classic mk4 boat we all know and love.

I'd compare the Supra to the 718 Cayman GTS. Base Cayman is closer in price. But the GTS 4.0 power is line with a supra at around 400 hp. Price difference is big, The GTS is $90k base (Probably $100k+ with decent options) vs $60k top spec for the Supra. From that perspective, Supra is a insane deal. Porsche definitely has some traits that best the Supra like interior quality, nothing fake cosmetic all form follow function, cockpit is a lot more airy, more exotic feel, and it's one of the last n/a manual cars out there but is it worth $40k (if you can even get one allocated)?

Yes indeed it’s latest gen b58 I think 3rd or 4th variant , Supra one has the latest gen 2021+ 2020 has 2 port exhaust 21+ 6 port , the engine in Supra is tuned different than bmw variant also Toyota made sure all the components that break down on b58 are replaced with reliable Toyota standards in mind, you are welcome

It is a frame rate issue, or more correctly a strobe effect. The lights don't flash in person.

it has the b58 engine in it bmw engines never really break, they're stupidly reliable, you just have to worry about their electronics but they didn't go overboard on this supra.
