I love the radical approach of KTM, one year ago I pulled the trigger with the Duke 890 and I'm in love with that bike. I would like to test the new 990 in the near future. That head light rocks!

The swingarm is clearly a downgrade from the previous trellis swingarm. The marketing team spins it to extra flex because this will absorb the bumps of the asfalt because roads aren't perfect...

Seen It today in person / live, and the new headlight shape Is Amazing! Never loved KTM headlight but this One Is so aggressive, stylish, modern.... aggressive riding position but also quite comfortable. Could be definitely my First KTM bike!

Le phare est assez clivant. À voir en vrai ! Par contre un conseil, pensez à fiabiliser vos modèles. Car si réparations et assistances sont souvent prises en charge même hors garantie, les aller/retour en concession sont décourageants tout comme les journées gâchées à passer son temps à attendre la dépanneuse au bord de la route. 6 ans à rouler sur superduke v2 et v3 ✌️

Ah ben c'est "rigolo" j'ai pas la même vision. Je suis en 1290 advs depuis 2018 (2 modèles et 45 000 kms environ en tout sur les deux et je ne suis jamais tombé en panne. J'ai quelques merdouilles (merci les MAJ avec des erreurs de codage 🫣🤬), mais rien d'immobilisant. Tu as été embêté pareil sur les 2 générations ?

@@sebastienm9077plus sur la v3 que la v2. Je suis pourtant très soigneux et j’ai fait 20000 km avec chacune. Dernière panne en date, câble/bouton de démarrage hs à 150 km de la maison. 1 mois d’attente de pièce détachée et remplacement. Pas roulé de tout septembre. Au printemps je pense aller voir chez BM, chez les japonais les motos ont 10 ans de retard.

When I saw the new Duke 990, I immediately remembered the liter Super Duke of the 00s. And if the new Duke is technically flawless, it’s difficult to call it beautiful. Not sure if this is better than the 890... A few more hp but also a 'few' more kg's dry weight, kind of the difference of my ex wife before and after christmas meals. Personally don't really like the new look, especially the headlight. Missing the orange frame and that kind of stuff from the 890R. I'd rather buy a 890R than this Duke, for me Duke means lightweight, agile and still enough power, I don't feel it with this bike. It wouldn't be bad if the 890R was still availble, gives us a choice, but this as a replacement ? Thanks but no.

The new headlight is hideous! I already was on the fence on the previous duke and superduke headlight design and this is definitely worse. Plus the cool looking swingarm from the 790/890 is gone. I actually think I prefer the design of my old 990 Superduke over this. I love ktm but not this one, sorry boys.

Between the lines reading: I got the powerful nerve of the bike, but the single location shooting in the middle of nowhere (the budget issues of the promo assets?) creates a heavy feeling of the beast being caged in the boring space (for a naked bike) where there is no fun except burn outs and sliding which are more about the super moto concept where Ducati actually got it right in their Mono promo (still completely failed at the mood setting). Where I was, oh yeah I expected cool shots of how this thing flies effortlessly like a jet among the twisties somewhere in the italian / swiss / austrian mountains. The character of the bike is well displayed on the screen, but it rests pointless without the context, the target would buy this thing for spicy riding in the legal streets. You should have put the beast into its natural area of use and demonstrate how perfect it is in it thus adding more impact and depth to this promo. IMO. The bike is still perfect, Bravo KTM!

Well, Hello KTM You truly know how to do a 2-cylinder motorcycle! I think. You could concentrate on the easy serviceability and high quality of components, easy adaptability for different riders and light weight. And everyday superiority of legal street use, which these machines actually have. They are frugal also with gas... And then, there is the question (for the manufacturer): "who the **ll thought the only thing is interesting with a motorcycle is burning rubber (and wheelies)" (stopped the video at 3 sec.)! Ok, bad advertisement studios... Or. Maybe these videos are for 12-year olds who just dream of having a 125 some day. Sort of makes sense (to advertise 990 and 1290-1390 and sell 125s, 200s and 390s) but thing is, I think many people think or expect I am an full-blown infantile idiot when I ride with a KTM. We have 2 of them because of completely different reasons than is seen or heard in these lousy videos. That predator headlight assembly is weird, our 1290:ies of 2021 look much more beautiful and from distance, anyone can see there is a real motorcycle coming (not a tuned-up scooter or smth). Well, maybe one gets used to them by time but anyhow, I doubt.
