The performance package looks great but unfortunately the summer only tires do not work for those of us that live up north. Not that I would drive the car in the winter but I had summer only tires crack while I had a car stored for the winter in my garage. Had to get rid of my 2020 GT500 for that reason. Now I own a Vapor Blue 2024 Mustang GT premium with the active exhaust, Brembo brakes and the 401A interior package. I'm loving the car. Excellent Video Racer X.
@@romarioramsaywack3385- I’m far from being an expert. I’m hoping with the all season tires and the extra ground clearance going from the GT500 to the GT that there won’t be much maintenance needed in the winter. I’ll drive once or twice a month during the winter months when I see a relatively warm day in the forecast.
Good afternoon RacerX. I wanted to extend a hand of support and condolences for your recent loss. I will and alway treasure my mom (even though we argue a lot). I just got mine's on my birthday two days ago and boy am I still giddy about the powertrain. Wish it came with 6 piston front/ 4 pison back brakes and the spoiler from the Dark Horse. I liked the extensive reviews of all the vehicles you get to access
The 3.55 is a double edged sword. In one sense, it gets that awesome Coyote into it's power range quicky, but as someone who has owned a performance pack S550 manual, it's a lot of shifting for a manual if you are going for all out acceleration.
Those 3.55 gears are everything. Exhaust is decent for stock. Had to drop an H pipe to get it where i wanted it. Honestly speaking, this car is definitely more refined than the outgoing car, especially the transmission and brakes.
Test drove the 2024 gt mustang yesterday and i was amazed. They wanted 45k for base model without active exhaust option but with the manual and stock exhaust it still runs n sounds aggressive. It has plenty of torque, tires was able to chirp when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. If i had to pick, i would go with the premium package with leather, sunroof and manual transmission just because of the performance, fun n the option code value it will hold!
Great car for the price. Not a Mustang fan, but at this point if you’d like a v8 this is the best option.. the white looks killer. Keep up the exceptional uploads comin Mr X! 👊
I just bought a 2022 GT with performance package and it's AMAZING! Only 10K miles, like new. Active exhaust is awesome. Best car for the price and hp by far in my humble opinion. Love the lane assist and cruise assist and auto wiper blades. I just sit back and car runs itself as a blow everyone away.
Performance-wise it sounds great but I do prefer the retro look of the older Mustangs. It's too bad to see Dodge exiting the muscle car market. They did such a masterful job with the Challengers of capturing the vintage look and feel in a new high-performance package.
Dodge did a masterful job with the performance of the challengers? Lol, against what?...transport trucks? For what those cars were, they were mediocre at best. Including their hellokitties...err...hellcats. Even those things would take the gap from NA 10spd s550's. If you want like a thousand videos, I can provide links, or you can google them yourself.
@@MrDaaveeThose challengers on a prepped surface murdered the competition lol, and im not even talking about the demon which was basically cheating in a drag race.
@codyschale263 lol, no they didn't and I'm speaking from experience. They are over weight, over hyped, land yatchs. Good friend has a hellcat redeye. He was so happy he was finally going to have something to beat my boosted mustang. I even turned the boost down to approx 650whp and still tossed the gap on him. Shall I post a video of it for you? My cousin had a '19 10r80 mustang gt NA bolt ons and beats the hellcat. I can put up countless videos of 10spd NA mustangs beating hellokitties. Every challenger/charger below the hellcat model level is a straight up joke. You can go ahead and Google countless videos of na 6cyl cars beating them. The challenger is a joke, regardless of its model level. Can't wait for that demon 170 or what ever it's called comes out. Looking forward to giving that thing the gap too. I do hope dodge has learned something from all the beatings they take and apply it to their future "sports/muscle" cars and lose a ton of weight. Then they might stand a chance against some NA cars... lol
Well, ya the mustang is faster, it’s 700 Lbs lighter, it’s all good but if your not actually racing people , who cares. Not me, I’m thrilled with the challenger also don’t have to worry about ending up in a ditch, but you should definitely worry about that. Peace, be safe.
@@MrDaavee Your mustang could be the fastest car on earth and I would still prefer the exterior looks and interior size of my Challenger any day of the week. Most people buy Mopars because they are the best modern tribute to a classic muscle car. Why don’t you just get a 2000hp GTR or a promod if all you care about is speed? 11s or faster for a bone stock comfortable car isn’t bad at all, which is what Scats and Hellcats are plenty capable of.
From what I’ve read and heard and seen in person, this car shouldn’t and can’t have active exhaust unless that’s just an extra add on in addition to the performance package, because all of the 24s with active exhaust I’ve seen and heard about have quad tips. “you can only have active exhaust with the quad tip setup” and that’s how you can tell if a 24 owner has that feature in their car or not. Even in the mustang configurator, the active exhaust option adds quad tips on the virtual car you are building. Tell me if I’m wrong though.
1) Love the look of this car. The wheels need to be at least an inch bigger, preferably 2 inches larger diameter. 2) Love the styling and "cockpit" contoured interior on it. The challenger did it better though. 3) HOLY screens! They should have separated the gauge cluster and the info-tainment systems so the gauge cluster is its own separate screen that is subdued into the dash, instead of making the dash like a giant tv screen. I wonder how much glare there is on the those giant screens when the sun hits them? 4) I love that Ford is staying true to its roots with the Mustang. This car is awesome! I just wish the gauges were more traditional and a circular unit subdued into the dash instead of being integrated into the giant TV screen they put all the way across the dash.
nobody wants a 4 year old ipod, this car will suffer the same fate. I'll be keeping my '23, love my heritage double hump dash and airplane inspired analog guages and toggle switches. The S650 has been feminized compared to the S550's in my opinion.
I love V8s...owned them all my life...Mopar/Ford/Chevy. I recently bought a base model C8 for MSRP since it's a true exotic for $ 65k. I don't see any comparison between a $ 60k mustang vs a C8...apples vs oranges. Of course the Camaro is the direct competitor, but I have a RAM for daily transportation so the C8 works for me as a fair weather vehicle. Racer...it's a shame you got stiffed on your Z06....but don't let that cloud the truth. The base C8 is the best enthusiast car with a V8 you can buy for $ 65k.
I'm ok with the base C8...content is high enough for my needs. I intended to buy a used C8 but the crazy market we're in prices them at MORE than the $ 65k I paid for new 2023 ! The ZLI Camaro starts at $ 74k...exceeded my top budget of $ 65k. C8 s are outselling Camaros easily....IMO a big reason Chevy is dropping the line.@@jamess4535
Those coyote V8s are nasty and sound delicious. Today I bought a 2024 GT Premium loaded with every option. I'm just a whipple kit away from over 800 bhp with a warranty. Gotta love Ford for that.
Im sorry but at 9:58 you mentioned that this mustang has active exhaust, but it does not have it. that's the only option it doesn't have, but either way its nice car. 👍🏻
I will still pick my favorite V8 of all time the charger scatpack and YES not a hellcat a scatpack !! Am just in love with that naturally aspirated 6.4 V8
Have had my manual2024 GT premium for a month it’s definitely better than my 2019 off the line and I did put the flowmaster 10 as the h pipe and deleted the factor mufflers sounds amazing
It doesn't have active exhaust as that comes standard with quad exhaust and your tested car have dual exhaust. All mustangs need and should come standard with active exhaust though for sure, a must have! Dual exhaust looks so BASIC!
I’ll go 2023 GT Premium with PP1, 401A tech package and a 10A. Active exhaust stock is fine and it’s cheaper to get aftermarket system than upgrade to 2024 for a slight exhaust improvement. The interior digital is just not well integrated like the S550 cluster, is not enough analog buttons on center console, and the power difference is the only motivator. But both are fun to drive, 2023 S550 to me just makes more sense. Maybe if they improve the interior tech integration and bring back more physical buttons and less haptic touch panels, I’ll look back at it.
Today I bought a fully spected out 2024 GT performance pack, every option available except for the active valve exhaust, 6 pistons brembos at all four corners, painted black roof it's a premium leather recaros big wing, I mean everything, list for 61k bought it for 59 k I'm happy. Would have liked to had the active valve. This car was a special order from a gentleman, that when the car came in he ghosted the dealership. It was the only one on the lot spec out like that.not even close.
I had a 2020 Mustang GT, Brembo 6 piston (3 each caliper) calipers on the from, "Pinto" 2 piston calipers on the rear, 1 each side. Burnt through a set of rear pads in a track weekend. The 2024 with piston front, 4 piston rear (Maybe 6, but???) is far superior. . I am flirting with the GT or the Dark Horse.....the Dark Horse is $75,000 or greater, IF you can one 1.
Amazing. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon @ $95,000 aud. Then the Ford Mustang 2024 @ $93,000. Interesting. Both company design completely different vehicle and come around approximately the same prices. Truly incredible! 🤪
The only thing i don’t like on the 24 GT’s is the wrx rear diffuser and the way they went with the exhaust, they went the 6th gen SS route instead of keeping it how it was with the s550gt
Just got a charger rt, was hoping to work my way up to a hellcat but that just might not be the case anymore, sad to say. However I wouldnt mind buying a mustang after seeing this video 💪🏽
Just made a donation for the Shelby giveaway! My 19 pp1 is speced almost identical to this car, color and everything! I just do not see a big enough difference right now for the price to trade mine in for 24.
Eesh 58k might as well get a Mach 1 or Bullitt for that I would rather go base for 45 The 13k in upgrades is not worth it for me or I’ll go pre-owned when I get another one Crazy how much these have gone up in such a short period of time 5 years ago you could get a GT with a couple options for under 40 Looks sweet and I’m sure it handles great and as always it sounds good but not for that much
The car is nice, The interior "Dash' is Hideous, And is why I have a 2024 2SS 1LE coming ,I'm at 3850 status now ,so shouldn't be to long ,if Ford gets rid of the trash dashboard after 2024 I will own one ,if not ,I guess I will be keeping my 1LE for a long time
I still couldn't trust their manual until more time goes by on the upgraded version. Friend's 2020 gt lost a gear at low miles nearly stock. I also disagree with the narrative of only option out there. Practically you will still be able to get Camaros and Challengers into 2024. Now come late 2024 then that could certainly be the case. Still 3 solid options for us to enjoy for now.
Nice car. But a little more detail on the review would be nice… For example you say “another package gives you the black roof“. What is that package called? We’re watching this so that we can discover exactly how this car is specked out.
In my area just for an update as of today there are still not any 10-speed automatic 2024 GTS in Syracuse New York so I'm just going to continue to save and put down as much as possible I don't care if it's 15,000 and yeah I'm going to be the cool guy🎉
Hey Paul the better de Insider call you out saying that you didn't know that the V8 hemis were coming out I'm just telling you what he said don't shoot the messenger I don't know if they're making a V8 but I did say that they would be making a combustion car over a year ago
Hey Racer X i get it You're a drag Racer. So I know you love automatics. But I really wish you would show more love to the manual transmission muscle cars.. They may not be as fast in a straight line as the automatic. But they're fun exciting cars to drive... Trust me I have Is a manual SS Camaro The car is simply intoxicating
Racer X that is the reason I have been driving upper level Mustang GT's & Saleens for years. The cost benefit analysis for me is the Mustang gives you the best bang for the buck! And now that Dodge has canceled the hemi & Chevrolet the Camaro there isn't even any comparable domestic competition.
Corvette definitely trumps a mustang in almost every measure. And no the corvettes aren't twice as much lmao, your new GT's are now mid 50K range and up and Stingrays are upper $60K and up. You get so much more with a vette. I own a 21 GT premium performance pack and a 23 C8 HTC, love both for different reasons, but it's apples to oranges. If I had to sell one, the mustang is gone lol.
i do not know what to do I made my self a promise when I bought my 1997 mustang gt , I said I will not buy a new mustang until its dies,, and it just keeps going and going and going my daily driver and keeps going ,, never dies ,,,, what do I do ,, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and still rides like new
Looks are subjective so its not worth dwelling on them much, but as for the tech screens, just not my preference. The 8 inch screen and 12 inch digital display are more than enough tech for me, but im old school. I haven't had a chance to sit in a 24 yet, but the screens look like they obstruct some view of the driver......minimally but still not a good thing in my eyes. I think they either should have built the screens more into the dash, or trimmed the height down an inch on them. Im happy Ford has continued to build the mustang with the coyote, and also hope the 24+ buyers enjoy em!
It puts gimmick display above beauty of a binnacle and gauges and switchgear. I just won't buy it, no matter what. You said "I can't understand why" people don't like it. I'm telling you, aesthetics, aesthetics man. Dog dish hubcaps on it are more practical and aerodynamic, why doesn't it have them? Hard plastic is more durable and recyclable, why does it have soft touch plastics? 4 cylinder is more practical, why doesn't it have it? See, I can do it too.
Here's a lil fact do you know the Cobra Terminator brought you the challenger & charger. & dodge made the hellcat to compete with the GT500! Have Respect for who made who!!!!
I would probably stick with the 10 speed auto.. otherwise you’re going to be doing a clutch upgrade pretty quick .. and we all know how driving a car with an aftermarket clutch can go lol
