I own one! (One of the few reviews where i can make that comment as requested!) Bought a pair from a sale on last season's model; going to go on my first boarding trip with them in 3 weeks. Looking forward to it!
Great job TC on this review video. Out of these three bindings what do you think would be the best for the K2 Alchemist. Also, do you have any other recommendations for bindings for the Alchemist? I mostly ride groomers, no park, no jumps. - Jones Mercury - Burton Cartel X - Rome Katana
I own a pair of these... I'm so torn on them. I am totally sold on skate tech, I think it feels great edge to edge. But the lack of adjustability kills them for me. I ride a US 10 boot and there's no way to get by boots close to centered, even when moving them as far back as possible on the baseplate so I end up with a tonne of toe drag with a M binding that's supposed to be good up to size 10.5. The Nidecker Kita boots definitely don't have the smallest footprint, but still... If they made a version of them with an adjustable heelcup I think I'd like them a lot more. But sadly they've been replaced by a pair of bataleon astros for now. Also, I'll say that compared to my Astro's and union Falcors, the straps, strap adjustments and footbed feel noticeably lower quality. I don't want to be a hater, because again, the edge feel is amazing on these (as long as I'm not making hard enough turns to boot out) but they're just not a good fit.
Thanks for the good reviews. TC you are mastering the role! One question, I thought the Drive Pro was the "real new Drive" (actually in 2025 the drive is like 2024 Drive pro), while this year´s Drive got a downgraded toe strap and hanger. Does the Drive Pro also compare to the Mercury or is it more in the realm of the Apollo Thanks in advance,
