Great tips, tho I have to say, I actually have had really good luck with last minute deals! Especially as a solo, it can pay to wait until the last minute, as sometimes cruises will knock off the solo supplement if they can tell the cruise won’t sell out! Hard to find no solo supplement sometimes when booking months or weeks ahead. Also another tip- if you’re like me and don’t like to carry your phone around on board, guest services usually has paper copies of the daily planner for those who want to completely disconnect like me! ❤
Solo cruiser here as well. I have a pretty flexible schedule and like you said, those last minute deals have made all the difference in how often I can sail. 😊
Know what the included dining options provide - for breakfast I choose between made to order omelets in the buffet, eggs benedicts in the MDR or corn beef hash in the Local on NCL
If you’re a solo cruiser, sometimes the solo supplement is higher the further in advance you book in my experience. I think that would be the only real disadvantage.
