I think the biggest extra cost when starting to research a trip is upgrading room categories. Wow! $499?! Sure, for an inside cabin next to the engine. You want to pick your own room? At midship? With a balcony? And a bit more space? Every upgrade can add hundreds. And then don't forget the casino, photos, and tips for baggage handlers and excursion drivers and guides.
Our next cruise-Mississippi River on Viking River includes Air fare, Wi-fi, beer and wine at lunch and dinner, one tour at each port, and other things.
Have a nice trip!! I'm sure you'll have fun. I thought about doing the Mississippi river cruise but the prices were much higher than what I'm paying for my cruise. That's including flights, transfers, balcony cabin, drinks packages, excursions, wi-fi, crew appreciation and more for about $10,000 for 2 people. I will admit that the Mississippi cruises I was most interested in were from Minnesota to Louisiana but $16,000 per person just didn't appeal to me.
So Bermuda is charging nearly 100 dollars per day per person to dock in Bermuda surely your including the departure and arrival port as well or do cruise company add a bit xtra for themselves.
Unfortunately when people pay ridiculous inflated prices it encourages cruise lines to keep charging it. Cruise bookings are historically down. All inclusive are a better deal right now.
