The 24 Hours of Daytona Winners (1966-2022) 

2000 viper. I watched that race and vowed to see the 24 in person. This will be my 5th or 6th trip.

My favorite is 1986. Porsche 962 of Holbert, Bell and Unser. Because I was there to see it.

Porsche got a lot of wins under their belt. I've never paid any attention to 24hrs of Daytona but videos of this years Cadillac are definitely bringing attention to 2023s race. Can't wait to watch🤘

The 1985 race was A.J. Foyt's last win as a driver. Also, in '88 Al Holbert lost his life in a plane crash in Ohio. IMSA retired his number (14), so the team used #67 in 1989. I remember that race was stopped for a time due to a downpour -- the same thing happened in 2004, but the Holbert team ended up winning with John Andretti, Derek Bell, and Bob Wolleck...a few months after losing their leader. And no, the race wasn't "fixed".

1966 Ford GT40 Mk II When race car's lines were clean their bodies still had real style. So many of these cars since look like sci-fi monstrosities.

Great video! So many iconic cars and drivers throughout the years. My favorite is the 1970-71 Porsche 917K, but I like so many other cars as well.

Fave was the 83 swap shop Porsche. AJ set fastest lap in the rain after Wollek blew his top about AJ driving.
