I like to call it the "White Hockey Puck" and before I had my new 3DS regular size (I was waiting for the black color to release in the US). I used that for Smash Bros 3DS to train my FPs when playing on my Purple Original model 3DS.

As a DS glazer this connects to me on a personal level, my first interaction with the 3ds family was when i found out that my best friend/neighbour had a flame red og 3ds. I played on it with them and the only games they had were smash bros and mario party ds. But before they had moved i had bought my own aqua blue 3ds. Only to break it 3 months in. Then one day when i was grounded my dad bought me a NES 3ds XL for no reason. Then one of my school friends offered to give me their new 3ds XL for my beyblades. That friend moved and now i just hack 3ds for my friends.
I never had a 2ds, but this video is as charming and as sweat as the memories you hold for the system, such a well done and thought out video, a real beauty. Cheers
the way i felt my heart sink when he said it was one of the last times he saw her... thats why i will always cherish the DS family of systems, all the great memories i had, and everyone else too. Truly one of, if not THE best nintendo console to ever be released.

I have a 2DS XL and I used it if I wanted to play anything on it. I took out my old 2DS from my tech drawer and was impressed on how compact and comfortable it was. Now I use it everyday. I'm glad to see someone who also uses it! Thank you for the video.
The 2DS was my first ever hand-held console, I remember it coming with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed, one of my favorite games was also Yoshi’s Island for the 2DS and 3DS. Boy it was a blast getting a New 3DS XL for Christmas, I would play Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story classic, it’s sad to see the DS and 3DS era end.

Great video, I had two of the 3DS consoles growing up. They were a huge part of my childhood. I recommend that you mod your 2DS. You can search a tutorial on RU-vid, it is very easy to do.
Ah man so many good memories with the xds's (I say x cuz over the years I had like every single one of them except the originals) Kirby Triple Deluxe, Mario Maker, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Boom, Mario 3d Land etc. I had so many good memories and nostalgia for them. It's really terrible Nintendo shut it down, but, oh well... everything has it's end. Just gotta be happy it was there, goodbye 3ds! ;)
My family got me a 2ds when i was 5. There were better models but i loved it. It had mario kart preinstalled so me and my brother played together, i havent had a gaming experience like it since
@@Smox64 me and my best friend stayed up all night to beat new super mario bros 2 together at a sleep over one time, i don’t think i’ll ever be able to relive something close to how fun that was. it was a good memory🫶 there will always be more opportunities to make new memories
you should homebrew your 2ds to be honest the community is coming back to life and you should know ur 2ds can still be played online you can either hack it or pay someone but regardless the fun continues
I love the 2DS - very comfortable to hold...and the screen isn't that small. LOL I got the 3ds and new 3ds at launch but never bought the 2DS til like a week ago and I really like it. It doesn't feel cheap like the 2DS XL.
i grew up with both the switch and the 2ds xl (had to switch to a 2ds since my 2ds xl broke though) and i think that the 3DS family is just better than the switch in general due to customization and a lot of other factors
My 2ds helped me get through things when my alcoholic father couldn't, i got the red and black one that was bundled with mario kart 7 and got only 4 games during the 3ds's lifetime, but those games were enough to keep me entertained for years. (i got about 1 game per year.) I don't know what i would've done without my 2ds honestly.. if it wasn't for it's cheaper price my father probably would've never gotten me any sort of 3ds. And the 2ds being so sturdy kept it alive for all these years because i am hella clumsy.. So if you're reading this and you would like a cheaper option for the 3ds, get a 2ds! I don’t know how, but the 3ds has a power on me that’s.. kinda strange. I have 3 3DS, one of which is broken, but the other two that I use dearly. It’s an OG 3DS and a New 2DS XL, idk why but I go always back to both of them even! Because on one I have the much bigger screens and much more power, while on the other one I have the 3D effect. Heck, I even played twice some games, on both systems.
My first 3DS model was the 2DS as well. I got it in 2018 and still have it! I have the blue version that came with Mario Kart 7. One vivid memory I have of it is skipping my schoolwork at home to play Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon not too long after I got the system. During dinner my parents figured out I didn't do my schoolwork. Don't remember what they did about it though lmao Since then I got the New 2DS XL which I hate because I could've gotten an original New 3DS instead, but I guess I wanted it because it was the latest model. I didn't know any better. (Also the XL screen sucks ass IMO)
I have fond memories of the 3DS lineup, I remember I grew up with a PSVita, but I’d steal my brother’s 3DS to play Smash 4. It wasn’t until later that I got my own 3DSXL with ACNL that I really fell in love with the wider Nintendo Lineup, and I’m ashamed to admit I recently spent more than I’d like to admit on a N3DSXL Galaxy edition 😢
