The 2JZ FD S15 is BACK! 

Video series idea: I think an awesome video series would be a budget build off challenge between the LZ crew vs DriftHQ team. The finished cars could be put through paces to determine the winner and then the two cars could be giveaways after the series is over. The build level/quality out of both shops is top notch so it would be awesome to see full creativity at of both teams.

ive been waiting for this. the FD s15 is such an iconic car to me, genuinely one of my favorites in the fleet. to see it back up and running makes me feel like a kid lol

Sounds great! If that manifold change still has issues with boost creep you can change to two small gates on either side… large gates are tough because you loose resolution (think on/off vs progressive). Ideally you’d bias the manifold to feed directly into the wastegate with the secondary path to the turbo but that looks like a big packaging challenge at that frame size.

As you mentioned in this video this car is special to you and alot of the og members that watched the build process and watched compete for the first time in FD. I know it won’t ever happen, but man I miss seeing him compete in the s15 in fd. To me at least, he looked way more comfortable in it then the rtr mustang. And it was always the best looking car on the grid. Anyway, keep up the good work Adam your videos are sick, and love watching the fd content and the builds. Especially the indef details because it’s helped me build an s14 for grassroots comps

So cool to see this thing back in action! I think it would be cool to see this thing run the same tire for all comparisons. And compare turbos on the same engine setup, specifically the same high revving camshaft. One turbo making 4-500hp. Another turbo that makes 7-800hp. And once again on kill mode 1000+hp turbo. Examining how the car/ driver reacts to each setup. “Yes they may not be optimal” for the car/driver but very educational on what the exact same car can do on the extremes.

I really only started following you when you got into Formula D. Knowing what I know now about how hard it is to keep a car competitive and just functioning all the while trying to beat out the best in the world, I would say your effort in that car was nothing short of amazing. Enough so that I wonder all the time if you would be more competitive in the mustang with a turbo engine in there since it's 99% of what you are used to.
