@@sialee5926 I wouldn't recommend it, because it's sticky until you put a layer of makeup over it, since it's designed to grip your foundation in place.
Please do mascaras! As someone who has thin, fine, blonde lashes, that’s the cosmetic I struggle with the most! There are SO MANY choices, it’s overwhelming!
I'm so glad you had the elf primer in your top three because I asked a makeup consultant yesterday what she suggested and she showed me that's what she use. I've been using milk of magnesia primer hack. She advised it dries out your skin. 😮 I didn't realize that! I'm at my second store trying to find this elf primer and hope Dollar General has it.
Got a free sample of the e.l.f. power grip primer and it’s so good! Makes my skin feel like it has a protective layer for the make up to go onto due to the gel like consistency! Dries quickly and definitely has helped with foundation application on dry patches I get from having psoriasis (dry skin condition). Overall, highly recommend ! :)
@@krystalcrow7575 I experienced this until I looked up how to use it properly. Apparently you're supposed to warm it up between your fingers and then pat it on to the skin instead of rub. This worked for me so it might be worth trying if you don't so this already. I hope this helps! 🥰
@@Showedremorse I don't know if you still need to know but I have dry skin and it works well for me as long as I have done my skincare and moisturised before using it.
Thank u for this, i tried so many primers. I gotta try these, years of smoking really ruined my skin. Thank u so much, i gotta look good sometimes for my hubby.😊
Thank you so much for another great video, Sarah! ❤ I was wondering how it compares to the Faux Filter Concealer 🥹 I bought that right-off your recommendation and I love it! I don’t think I can find anything like it ✨ but I’m still curious about the Fenty's one 🤭
Lost all makeup in hurricane Ian if u have any u want to clear out send them my way. I don't even know where to start I used to be so into makeup but I've just been collecting last few years but they didn't have all these products when I was into makeup.
Elf power grip would be amazing for dry skin, I have oily skin and it makes me extra oily when I use it. Darn. *Edit: I realized that I was using way to much primer, using it incorrectly. You are supposed to use only ( Half a Pump ) learned that by a makeup artist in person. After trying it her way, I definitely see the difference. Half a pump is the way. Hopefully that works for you oily girls. ♥️
Thank you for this. It's much appreciated. It would be even more helpful if you would say which type of skin (oily, dry, normal) the product works best on.
does the elf grip primer work for any foundation ? or does it have to be water based as well, if so can u recommend me any of ur fav foundations to wear it with ?☺️
No Pore Zone by Milani is one of my fave silicone face primers because it smooths while still feeling really lightweight and silky. (affiliate link) howl.me/ckIpolPXr1m
@@slashedbeautythank you i’m having a lot of trouble with cakey foundation and the foundation separating and I heard water base foundations go good with water-based primer and silicone. Based foundations work well with silicone base primers so I’m thinking that’s why my foundation is probably separating because I’m using a water based primer with a silicone based foundation hope this makes sense 😂❤
Honestly it's a lot of trial and error, although now so many brands or retailers have shade finders online like Ulta where you put in one that matches you and it'll show you what your match is in other foundations.
I mean, I think societally things have changed since I was 13 or 14, but I started out around that age with concealer, mascara, and tinted lip balm or gloss. By 16, I was in more of a full face look with eyeshadow and some bolder lip options to express my personal style.
Not at all, it actually makes the foundation super smooth. When I say tacky, I mean sticky. It's sticky UNTIL you put foundation on top of it, but that helps GRIP onto your foundation.
They've been changing prices dramatically in the past year, the L'Oreal ones are $15 and the Maybelline is about $10. You can click the links to see exact prices right now.
A water based moisturizer will work with it :) a good rule of thumb is pairing water based with other water based, or if you’re mixing- water based first and then silicone. So in this case any water based moisturizer will work. I’ve been using water based sunscreen moisturizer under it- the Innisfree daily uv defense
@@slashedbeauty super last long oil control …. Currently I’m using Mac nc30 foundation n Mac primer as well but after 30 /40 min later my skin looks oily in t zone ..
NOOOO I threw the Elf primer in the garbage! It is mostly Silicone... my skin hated it! Silicone is a berier yes, but it is plastic, and my skin did not like it!! Do not use if you want your skin to breathe. I am back to Korean primers or Channel.
