Very difficult to get hold of Oyaide EU plugs. Especially the powerplug. The connector is easier.. Ordered 10 meters of Sommercable quadra blue yesterday (for 5 x 2 meter cables).. Still hunting for Oyaide
@@RealHIFIHelp thanks. I ordered them from audiophonics. They only had 4x p079 and 4x c079 in storage so then I can order one more pair from those you linked to.. This will be a very exciting project. I can send you a video when I am done. Now everything in my system will be connected with 2 meter long Sommercable with Oyaide 079 plugs... Even my Isol8.. Can't wait! Hope it will be a worthwhile investment that will beat my current Ansuz X solid core silverplated Cooper-powercables 😎👌
Which model is the wattgate? I found "350i AG Blue Silver Plate" on Parts Express, but it has blue plastic instead of black. Wattgate has 5 different models of 350 on the website, using gold, rhodium, or silver. Thanks for the tip! Was about to drop more than this on some Transparent power cables.
Now, make sure the connectors in your wall sockets are also triple polished, platinum/palladium coated beryllium-copper, as well as the connectors in your fuse box. Otherwise all those sweet rich tones will just be lost forever in the weakest link. I happen to sell $1800 wall sockets and $600 fuses exactly for you fine audio-connoisseurs who will only accept the best. The kind of true audiophiles that could never be tricked into spending money on nonsense.
I can say that I have come to a similar experience since I have these connectors, 037 and 350i in the tube system. Thanks a lot for this video. I think you are absolutely right when you say that any connector that basically has copper pulls to the warmer side regardless of the final finish. For me, the oyaide P037e removed the furutech E38 rhodium from the system, without any hesitation. I find this video of yours so useful that I wanted to share my personal experience for the sake of others. Let everyone who has the opportunity try it and see how they will react to it. Do I have a question? You are talking about wattgate 350i ag and at the same time you recommend 381 ag, and what is the situation with male wattgate silver, and what are wattgate rhodium, alone and in combination with silver? Thanks again
I have only heard wattgate silver being good, from a source that I trust. Especially with the AN isis power cable on HIFIcollective.co.uk. Really good plug. But also the 037 is very good in a different way. They also make the best or second best wall socket plug. The other one is oyaide swo xxxe. And isol 8 mini sub axis makes the experience 2x more obvious.
In the video, you only recommend the wattgate 350i AG. So I asked if that includes both the 330i AG and the 390i AG? Or the advice only applies to iec. Interestingly, the Wattgate 381 AG is not on the official website or I don’t see it.
@@minorimaius7807 I don't know. But if it has the same type of metal and layering on top of each other, it should be the same quality of sound, just for a different type of unit. I can only confirm that the 330 and 350 silver wattgate plugs are the really good ones, together with the inwall silver plugs.
It the nickel and thick silver plating on the wattgate that make them so special. Oyaide uses phosherise bronze or brass. The copy plugs of Oyaide only has copper as a base metal. So does Furutech. Usually when you use copper as a base metal is gives a more basic and low quality warmth, and that is why they then put rhodium on it, to make it more convincing. Copper as a base metal just many times sound really fake in sound. And you can hear with all the fake plugs on ebay and such sites that is why the detail doesn't cut so well through and is not nearly as 3d as the real thing.
