I am in the uk and I going to be buying a classic muscle car that has already been imported, my budget is £70,000 any advice would be greatly appreciated, your video is spectacular and is full of great advice, thankyou for taking the time to make this.
@@Archifx I am lucky and have a 1969 ShelbyGT 350, and years ago I got the Marti report and the original window sticker that I never got. Learned the car was on a Ca car lot 1 year before i bought it.
Great video so many people don’t know this. I have a 71 Mach 1 that I’m finishing up a restoration on and thankfully it was all clean . Btw where did you get those wheels? Are they 17s ? Like to get a set for mine.
Thanks so much, buddy. Great info. Appreciate your sharing. I’ve begun my search for either a ‘65 or ‘67 or 71 Fastback. Hoping to find one under $50K. Don’t know if Mecum is a good idea or not. Thanks again, hope you have completed your own restoration by now 👍
@@meatsgreek3217 sounds cool. I finally modded my 2013 s197 Mustang. Thru Galpin Auto Sports. Got the painter to recreate the original Highland Green. One of their customers has the original Highland green. They used some device to blend the paint according to visuals. Their team will perform like a champ - for the money. My new color is a $22K investment, but it’s my own Bullitt clone. They also installed new rubber around
Oh and $3K for American Racing torq thrust wheels. 20” Nitto 555 G2s all around. Man, it was hard to successfully pass California’s dumb special required ‘Star Certified Smog Test’. I was nearly ready to bribe someone . Anyway, happy ending.
It sure is... if a seller is selling something worthwhile, the need to at least provide photographs of the very elements that legitimize and validate the car’s authenticity
@@Archifx I agree. Here's what i run into especially in NY craiglist. Sellers have no title, never registered the car in their name, but had it for awhile. One i bought turned out fine, but i keep running into this same scenario. All I have is a transferable registration that is not in the seller's name. Sounds fishy?
How do you check if its a rebuilt title if it only has a 13 digit vin? What if the vin plate is in a place such as a door jam that requires removal and re-riveted for a complete restoration? What if it has an aftermarket chassis like a Roadster shop chassis?
Any removal of a vin tag is technically illegal. Vin tags may not be altered in any way. Doing so is a felony. If a resto shop doesn’t it, they’re in violation of the law. Read it.
