I am still confused about the separation of the 3 releases.is it more your stance from the ball, the release timing, the follow thru, combo of several things. from what I see it is a lot about the length of the backswing from the address,release 1 like you say more like a putt, release 2 a longer swing, release 3 still longer all based on the situation .if you could explain a little more.thanks John
I would say that the defining factor is how much you let the club head pass the handle through impact. As you say though, with more release there is a progression of wider stance, lower hands, more distance from the ball and with more loft at impact there is always more swing. Having just written this reply I see your point, even though Dan has done a terrible job in putting all this into a framework, there is still a lot to it.
