The ownership rates here are super interesting because it kind of highlights the population whose data is actually getting into this list. I highly doubt that 94% of the actual Genshin playerbase own Kazuha and Nahida, but folks who would frequent posting their clears to a meta tracker absolutely would. Not knocking it or anything, I think there are still things to take from these lists, but it's important to view it as a snapshot of a snapshot.

On reddit someone said that Cryo bois use swirling Baptists Pyro shield tech using Kazuha and his ult and plunge clears next Cryo shield instantly.

With this abyss what i find is how under-rated electro dendro is, even without the floor buff it still doing really well be it aggravate, spread, or quickbloom, i found this abyss easier just going into it with hope and prayer with such teams, but no one is talking about it because the obvious choice of pyro is presumed to be the only good one.

I agree with your Chiori take. She is super slept on, her dolls do so much damage with the right setup and just constantly drop you shields. She is also useful for characters with good plunge attacks since you can teleport up and swap midair

a team i accidently made that actually surprised me with its damage (not 36 stars but pretty good for me) i used yaoyao collei furina venti and it did so well for me i was shocked, im not even sure how, c0 furina c0 venti c6 collei c1 yaoyao

Personal opinion: Not a power rating, but a confy clear rating, base on the current abyss a.k.a how simpler the characters can deal with these enemies and the blessing. That's how people should see this tier list.

I am PROUDLY repping my Dehya in every single Abyss clear. C0 and she does her job spectacularly with Neuvillette. Haven't failed a 36-star clear yet

Usage rates are mostly fine, but vastly undervalues Sucrose every time.

Im surprised to see navia this down,she does fabulous damage on first side with benny xiangling and either geo mc(for 10 crit rate) or zhongli (shield and crystallize)

I've been using Beidou alongside Arlecchino for overload and she's doing fine there. The downside is I don't have Chevreuse but I'm still able to clear Abyss with Arle/Beidou regardless. It just feels good to pull off the parry since the enemies attack patterns are easy to anticipate, and I don't think you necessarily have to focus your team around Beidou either. I guess I'm adding to that Dehya percentage since I'm been using her in Abyss since last year :O

The 9.8% Klee usage makes me so happy. Sucrose suffers a lot from Kazuha. We are at a point in which one Anemo is usually all you need. We have many good none Anemo teams. And Kazuhas ownership being so high, him being easier to use, him having better CC and having overall better synergy with top carries hurts Sucrose a lot. If Kazuha wouldn't exist Sucrose usage would skyrocket I think. Not as high as Kazuha is know but it would be much higher. In the end you only need 2 teams. And if only one of them needs/wants an Anemo Kazuha is usually the go to pick.

I keep trying different teams throughout multiple patches, but still nothing feels as effective as Xiangling. She the goat.

Kazuha is so good I know there isn’t a must pull character. But he was my first 5 star and also my favorite character never benched him use him everyday. The fact that you can use him for exploration and combat makes him one of the most versatile in the game. Yelan is also like that which is why they’re my two favs right now but his cc is broken probably best in the game 💯 I haven’t used furina yet still building her right now so I’m excited to test her out 💪🏻 the problem with her is that you need a team wide healer like Jean or xianyun so I didn’t start building her till I got my Jean she’s probably the best character when you have a proper team but kazuha and yelan don’t need as much work. Nahida is also very strong hyperbloom still does the most damage when it comes to reactions I agree with you that this abyss isn’t the best for her.

Yeah, I saw someone using Nilou Bloom on the Baptist. They just wait out the Cryo shield until it disappears before start attacking again. Which mean you need a lot of time from the first half.

I didn’t realize Coppelia/Coppelius has a shield. I used Nahida hyperbloom on the Anemo and Raiden National on the Cryo. Each took only a minute to clear. For this abyss, Raiden National and Nahida hyperbloom would do the job to 36-star. Does not even need Arlecchino.

Diluc Plunge with Xianyun is really good for the 1st side. I have diluc lvl 80 and it's giving 100k - 130k per plunge and it clears the 1st side within 30 sec.

I'm surprised to see Chevreuse so low, I had more success using Arle overload in the first half than vaporize, the AoE was good enough and the stager guaranteed that Arle would take less damage overall. On the second side, It took some time, but I was able to 36* with an Ayaka+Furina+Charllote+Kazuha team. Also, you can break the cryo shield swirling hydro with Kazuha, it's not as efficient as pyro or electro, but it works.

I've seen 2 videos doing the same trick: let Kazuha be hit by a pyro attack before breaking the pyro shield, then when cryo shield comes up, switch to Kazuha and Q to infuse pyro. This borrowing fire technique is relatively old (it works because pyro always had the highest infusion priority).

Where do you find these rates? I couldn't find it anywhere online. I'm really curious about usage rates without taking ownership into account because I think that would be more representative.

right now i just tried Raiden c0 homa+chevrouse+xiangling the catc+bennett on the first half and neuvi c1 thome + kazuha em+ fishcl + furina on the second and it felt AMAZING. it shreds every single thing and felt so powerful. people are truly sleeping on overload raiden, it just shreds everything you put in front of it. Neuvi felt amazing as always and it was successful at tackling the bautist, and the bautist didn't put a pyro shield but only cryo and electro but kazuha and fischl just brute force it successfully. im excited for my raiden on overload feels like a whole new character almost like c2 feels since overload ignores defens and chevi lowers res it truly feels great

The safest way to interpret this data is what we can actually know from it: that *popular characters can clear the abyss* at the investment levels and skill levels that many players in this data set are at. On the other hand *being unpopular doesn't prove that a character is bad in any objective way* (poor damage, not versatile, no good teams, hard to use, requires high investment etc--although those things can play into it). It can only show that people didn't submit many clears using them relative to the number that own them (and that could be for any number of reasons). The best and only objective way to know if a character is good (particularly for you and your account) is analysis, testing, and actual knowledge about how the game and characters work: with those things you can find the answers yourself, know why and when they are applicable, and take your account and skill into consideration. Knowledge is power.

I actually used 3 teams to clear floor 12 with 9 stars. Double Geo Hu Tao with Chiori, Yelan, and Zhongli on 1st side. Melt Wriothesley with Bennett, Xiangling, Kazuha. Also Gaming hypercarry with Bennett, Furina, Xianyun in 2nd half.

Bit tip for my nuivlet brothers out there if u using him n in the second half try to do a hyber bloom with nahida and koki u can clear the second half really fast and on the last boss u can brake ther fire shild with nuivlet the cryo shild with koki and the electro shild with nahida /dendro chr

The last abyss was my first 36 star with Neuvi / Arle, and I do NOT see how I’m going to be able to full star this one. It’s so much harder than the last abyss. It’s shocking how much more difficult it is lol

Although in the beginning the man has already said to take pretty much everything that comes out of this list with a grain of salt, but allow me to remind you guys again that you shouldn't treat this list as how people see the character or how good the character actually is. After all, people have preference, tendency and such. For example, there could be an abyss that favors venti but people still prefer kazuha over him, because people simply got used to using kazuha. That tendency is usually formed through time which is very hard to change Not just that, due to how the data is collected the preferences and tendencies affects the list even more. Even if you don't look at the sample size, there's the problem where the data is uploaded by the exact same group of people every single time. Which obviously makes the preferences and tendencies even worse. Not to mention if these same group of people have relatively normal (as in not so hardcore) understanding to the game or characters, that means they probably don't even know what's actually good and just uses whatever the fuck is popular and call it a day. Which means they can't even properly demonstrate how good the characters actually are Not to mention, this list would include those solo runs. Which makes it so that people can use characters with really good solo capability, and literally just bring 3 random characters to help upping the usage rate of those random characters, or worse just use the character themselves and no one else and in the team usage rate it'll register as just that character alone. That is what you call boosting. So... yeah I wouldn't exactly call a list that actively allow boosting anywhere near accurate at all With that said, the list is still pretty fun to look at. Because when you look up what team people use for a specific character, and one of the best result that came up is just that character alone or that character with 3 random characters, is funny as hell. It must be confusing as hell to those who don't know, and that's what makes it funny to me

The strongest hyperbloom team will include Some offield hydro applicator, Nahida Baizhu Some on field electro dps. With that said, if you use Furina/Yelan with EM raiden, this team does insane damage!

Navia is actually really good first side. I've been getting 55-60 second clears but you do have to keep positioning in mind. Maybe people don't want to deal with that

Regarding your question at like 16:45 regarding the cryo shield on the Abyss Lector... I've seen Nilou Bloom teams just WAIT. The shield goes down eventually - either that or I'm missing something else they do. So maybe that's what a freeze team does. You either burst it down before the cryo shield goes up, or you just wait it out.

Pro tip for Nilou players : to break Coppelius' shield in the first half, in case you don't have Furina, or don't wanna play her in that team, or are using her on the other side, you can instantly break the shield with... the Narzissenkreuz sword in Ousia mode, you can give it to either Nilou herself (since most of her weapon options are meh anyways), or if she's holding the Key, you can give it to the dendro traveler instead who also doesn't have great sword options to begin with. Then, you just need to perform a normal attack whenever the shield is up, and you disable it just like that :)

Teams I used: First Half: Neuvi Kazu Furina Charlotte Second Half: Arlecchino (EM build/Hybrid) Nahida Xingqiu Zhongli Still almost a minute left on each chamber, Neuvillette is so good on first half for the continuous waves. Ask me if you have any questions for my builds!

Btw you said cyno was very meh this abyss. I used him on an ok artifact build with white tassel ( baizhu furina nahida though) and he felt pretty good to me, got all the elemental coverage and all the waves had just enough hp to make doing a full rotation worth it It is to be noted that nahida xingqiu fishl often times feels just as good a team to me especially in single target

I went very boring and safe with Arle (C0R1 at the time), Yelan (C1), Benny & Zhongli, and Neuvi (C0R1), Furina, Kazuha & Baizhu. The Lectors and the Baptist did not feel great for Neuvi, but I still somehow managed to 36 stars without restarting a chamber. I'm not surprised to see all of these characters at the top of the tier list

With freeze team on second side to deal with the cryo shield, you need your kazuha get hit with boss pyro attack so when you use kazuha burst he can self infuse his burst with pyro, it is very tricky

The data is heavily skewed against 4* DPS for sure because of high ownership even though a lot of the Pyro 4* characters like Gaming and EM Thoma are fantastic this abyss.

I see my Arle/XQ/Kazu/Diona Team is not on here. Its surprisingly good. A shield for Arle, some freeze, some Melt, some Vape (depending on what you infuse into Kazu), and big EM from Diona C6. I like it quite a lot

I haven't seen anyone running my team on the second side: Neuville(Prototype Amber), Yae Miko, Nahida, Fischl. First side, I use HuTao plunge. Really fun to play.

After 30 seconds the baptist's shield goes away, so if you have enough dps you can make it work. This is also how I did second half nilou

personally I just feel incredibly confortable using baizhu with furina in any possible situation i can because he just heals everyone to the top so I don't need to worry whether or not her buff activated or not. I think a lot of people use him with her too for that same reason. gaining an additional bloom here and there for some extra damage is cool too. it's just comfortable. another comfortable team where I like him is with tighnari where I can put the dendro set on baizhu and a wanderer on tighnari and then pair them up with either 2 electro either kuki/fishl/yae or fishl+ zhongli for max comfort.

For Ayaka freeze there is an option to use Amber for cryo shields. She doesn't bother Ayaka like Bennet c6 and her ult easily remove shields

I cleared second half using Ganyu freeze. You need to get hit on Kazuha when the baptist is in the pyro mode, and shield has 10% HP, then infuse Kazuha burst with Pyro and hopefully two of his plunges with Pyro as well, to get through the Cryo shield.

I got 36 the stars. My pick for abys 2nd half was "Thoma Burgeon team", with Baizhu, Furina and Yelan. It requires about 900 or more of EM on Thoma (plus all the ER you can get, if possible use the "Flower of Paradise Lost set" instead of "Gilded Dreams"), and Baizhu using a favounius to keep the rotations going. Tho I think I had a lot of flexibility for mistakes since I got C6 Thoma Furina C3, and Yelan C1 + SW (yet I had about 20 seconds left on each floor, enough for an aditional rotation even tho I still don't master the team).

My teams were: Hu Tao, Kazuha, Bennett C6, Yelan for 1st side and Neuvi, Raiden, Nahida, Tankfei for 2nd side. I know Neuvi team is a complete mess but it somehow works, you just gotta give Yanfei some good hp and recharge, also you might be afraid of burning and burgeon, but if you're careful you can avoid getting burgeons and also Neuvi helps get rid of the burning reaction in case you happen to trigger it.

I use Baizhou in EM-Raiden/Baizhou/Alhaitham/Furina Hyperbloom. It’s an extremely strong team.

You can get past Coppelius shield by having a Sword of Narzissenkreuz user on the team.

This Abyss was easier than I expected, or it's just that I have built the characters to make good rosters. Teams I used: Diona, Xiangling, Yelan, Raiden. Bennet, Kazuha, Xinqgiu, Arlecchino. All 4-star characters with c6. Raiden with Engulfing Lightning.

Chiori is the best example why data like these should always be taken witha grain of salt. She has the lowest onwership rate , meaning those who pulled for her are those who are dedicated to playing her, not that she is better than those below her in the data

My favorite Baizhu team is Yae Miko, Furina, Nahida, and Baizhu. Just cycle thru each character and use skill/burst on cd. Consistent, no nonsense damage with tons of mobility.

This is one of the few abysses that overburgeon razor can be used, as long you have enough dendro/pyro for the other side

Baizhu is a team wide healer with a semi shield and dendro so he is very helpful. That top Neuvillette team is the one I use most. In general…. Still p,aging around with Arlecchino teams. Alhaitham usually has Kazuha, Kuki and Nahida.

Since getting Dori C6, Nahida Furina Dori Fischl/Kazuha is always going to be my first choice in one of the sides.

People really be sleeping on Chevreuse. Especially now with Arlecchino being out. My C6 be buffing my Arlecchino and Raiden immensly.

For the freeze team against the Baptist i would assume that what they do is leave the pyro shield almost broken and then kazuha burst which will infuse it with pyro and will apply pyro to the boss and then before he puts the cryo shield you kazuha E so you will have both the burst and E infused with pyro to destroy the cryo shield. Just my assumption, no idea if it would actually work since i dont watch abyss runs nor do i have ayaka.

I used baizhu for thoma burgeon team with Nahida and furina for the second half. Baizhu makes my thoma burgeon team so comfy. (Expensive team!)

Been doing just Furina + Kazuha + Navia + Noelle & Yae + Chevreuse + Sara + Bennett since 4.2. Easiest 36* then and still since. It works, so no reason to change it. Oh yeah, Chev & Navia came after 4.2. [Insert subsititute with another Geo + Pyro.]

wriothesley is so underrated, it’s ridiculous for him being the first catalyst cryo character, his damage and kit is insane and is so easy to build and insane dps because of the hunter set helping with crit rate. He is just busted that’s a fact. 💯

You just don't deplete the Cryo shield though technically Kazuha could. If the Cryo shield gets cancelled by the Baptist himself he'll spawn a little Cryo thingy after the shield phase which Kazuha when easily destroys. Then he's downed and and ready for the kill. Had this in my first attempt (which was very chaotic due to going in blind and forgetting where my characters were in my team). Gaming with Xianyun top half is crazy good. Out of curtesy I won't link my videos but I recorded my runs.

I'm only able to get 7* on floor -11 unlike previous abysses where I scored full stars , but to surprise I got 1 star in chamber 1 for the first time *12-1

I would guess that the baptist's cryo shield is broken by Kazuha in freeze teams. Swirls from skill and burst, heavy attack from the hold e plunge. Especially if Kazuha is c1 and can skill twice

There was a lot of hype about gammig and xianyun and he's pretty good in part 1 on the 12th floor. I guess a lot of people don't have C6 or don't enjoy the character. Diluc is also very good in part 1. Wriothesley is quite good in part 2 in melt but I guess many are disappointed with him in c0

How can you end up in this statistics? Just by clearing the abyss 36*? Or do you have to submit your runs or sign up your account to a website or some? Live in a specific region? Is it taking only PC users? Or also playstations and mobile?

Not surprised to see Tartaglia International high up on the list. My top half teams this time were Ayato, Bennett, Xiangling, Kazuha AND Raiden, Xingqiu, Bennett, Xiangling. Ayato's team was by far the easier clear. The top half especially is conducive to a grouped/AOE team, and vape is great reaction for that. I just don't like Tartaglia's team as much as Ayato's due to my own skill issues. Similarly, the team in third place is my second half team, Alhaitham, Kuki, Nahida and Xingqiu (although I use Furina here instead). I know hyperbloom isn't literally the best here, but it's a pretty solid team for the second half. And it turns out many people came to the same conclusion.

How do I look for the spiral abyss usage data myself? I saw people can filter most popular teams by character. Would really like to see them to help me team building

I recommend raiden international for first half room 1 and 2 , and neavullite or hyperbloom for second half room 1 and 2 . And in room 3 u wanna use raiden international in the seconf half and hyperbloom in first , so switch them up . Then this abyss be easy clear . Trust me thats what i did

On first side I used Yae Raiden, Chev and Xiangling (still waiting for off field pyro apllicator who has teamwide buffs. Hopefully one day). And on second I got random: Yoimiya, Baizhu, Furina, Kazu. No idea how it worked lmaooo

I've been using Navia plunge with Chiori, Furina and Xianyun on the first half. Then Arlecchino vape with Benny, Yelan and Kazuha for the second half. Pretty good teams, but I need more talent lvls for Arle to 3 star chamber 3 😭😭

One thing that keeps bogging me is that we are almost at Natlan and we still don't have our Kuki Shinobu for Burgeon. Thoma can do it halfway through but is still underwhelming. We have 1 year and half from Sumeru and burgeon is completely put to the sides. I expect that when someone to do burgeon appears it will be insanely good.

Ive been trying to beat floor six for soooo long it's insane .... My strongest character are level 60 should I just grind and build or who should I keep trying

I used Raiden burst and E to get through the mages cryo shield on the second side (Nahida Xingqui Raiden Kokomi hyperbloom team)

People underestimate how well Chiori breaks shields with 2 Tamoto dolls + coordinated attacks + her burst. that's a LOT of Geo that just destroys an elemental shield.

I ran Navia plunge and it just bulldozed through side 1, people are sleeping on her haha

I'm not surprised seeing Xianyun that low.. there's way too many enemies in floor 12 and they're really spread out so plunge is significantly difficult to play in those chambers..

I know that Chiori will be higher for double Geo double Pyro. I use her with Arlecc Bennet Zhongli Chiori
