Yep , I bought my copy on 12' promo vinyl from a Record exchange in Central London prior to this being release. Yep a very long time ago at least nearly 13 years ago.
One of my favorite songs of all time, it's so original and unique. From the whole low harmony to the lyrics, the beat and that sort of a "tongue twister" in the chorus. I love the video too, they're all sexy and sophisticated.
Their voices are great and this is their best song. I own "Between the Sheets", it's a great album and The 411 is one of the best R&B girl bands, it's a pity that they stopped doing music after just one album but unfortunately it didn't sell that much.
This song was stuck in my head and I couldn't remember it for the life of me and I finally found it! I loved it when it was released and now it won't be stuck in my head as an irritating tune.
Girl, in what universe? I was just thinking how bad the makeup is. Like, my fellow melaninated sister looks like she is in lip gloss, mascara and that's it. It's awful, why did they do her like that?
I was randomly going through stuff from my time in highschool, when I found a note saying: 411 - Dumb. With a heart next to it. Not remembering what it was, I came here to look it up. Yep. Still digging it. Almost 20 years later...
It'd be great if they did another big reunion series because bands like this would be amazing to see again. Just any band that split around this time really. Big Bruvaz, S Club Juniors/8, Phixx and so on. There's quite a few out there that could be apart of a new series.
Man, this is fucking timeless. Their label should be ashamed after dropping the ball with these girls. Had "China Girl" been released afterwards instead of "Teadrops", I suspect we'd have a different story
Damn, i.miss those days we had a variety of group and artists to listen to. Damn, now going back memory lane the 1990's and early 20's we had great music. Who is here now june 2020 , Covid19 worldwide pandemic still spreading in USA
Never knew this group existed until know I just thought I would look up the 411 thinking if there’s ever been a movie called that cuz I just figured it would be good name for a movie and this popped up I’m glad I did I love them
this has been in my playlist prob since it was uploaded. great music and sexy ladies but with class, dignity and wholesome values. i was listening to a few random modern songs yesterday. some Niki Minaj (prob spelt wrong but i dont care) and cardi b etc, and i was thinking to myself what utter garbage, and also its pure filth. i'm no prude. but theres a time and plance for everything. we all like a drink and to even get drunk occasionally, but everyone knows its not good to be drunk all the time. and its the same with the lifestyle and theme of these modern "artists" - its not good to live your entire life that way as they seem to encourage. sorry rant over lol
I remember sitting in my uncles car when i was like 12 and I just kept replaying this song. Probably drove him insane, but IT WAS WORTH. Bop of a song 👌
oh my god! loved this band! such a shame they split after this album :( i remember buying this single in the summer of 2004! so nostalgic looking back at music from my early teens :(
Hey Yo ! I saw this on forgotten classics on one of those music channels , I remember the tune and its cool Never seen the video until yesterday, oh wow 4 total beauties as well mmmmmmmm my favourite is the one in blue..no green...no pink....no coral....no blue
I bought this single the next day i watched the video on MTV european ToP 20 countdown in 2004. I youtubed this song for the first time in 2022, never recommended.
