If I remember correctly the reason that the hornet flight model is so bad is because it used the mosquito's fight model with only small changes instead of having it's own model, or at least an older mosquito model
WeBe, I gotta say, your Mosquito video got me to play the British Air Tree. And in that, I’ve discovered a gem of an aircraft that’s so dumb it’s fun. The Brigand B 1. It’s classed as a bomber, but it’s a bomber in the sense that it can carry bombs. Quad 20mils in the front, no turrets at all, and doesn’t even get a bomb sight. You’re just a heavy fighter with a bomber spawn, it’s great silliness.
My only gripe with the Hornet is how it super stalls. It also suffers from the P-38K syndrome, you can do so much on paper but doing it isnt always easy. But it does make them fantastic squad planes Maybe you should try its Far East "cousin" the Ki-83 because it should respond a lot better
@@EliLVG A plane with vast amounts of potential that is hard to execute in the current meta of the game. Such as the fact that IRL, "Winkle" Brown (England's #1 Test Pilot) called the Hornet is favorite plane, and said it was one of the most maneuverable fighters he'd ever flown. And yet, it's stiff, unresponsive semi-crap in-game.
Hornet is a beast. Its maneuverability at low speeds is ass, but when you get this thing at like 650km/h+ where everything else would lock up, the Hornet can actually pull well at the high speeds. But obviously, still not a turn fighter 😅
I love this plane so much I would marry it. I can't play more planes now, they all feel slow. It just needs an updated flight model like the moskito got recently and it would be the best plane in the entire br bracket period. It's a great bomber hunter, a great chaser, a great afk climber deleter and subleme at taking targets of opportunity. It needs a new model so bad though, it was designed to be able to fight japanese fighters in the pacific and was described always as one of the most responsive and manouverable twin engine fighters ever.
@@BritishParliament1707 Catch enemies by surpise. At the start of the game climb to kill afk climbers or unaware fighters. After that you can pick targets. I tend to go for runners that rely on speed (me262) or third party dogfights.
If this thing had a proper flight model the hornet would easily be the best twin engine at 6.0 because in real life it was very agile and a forgiving plane to fly but in wt it feels like a slightly smaller mosquito with more engine power
i swear a bit ago it was like you could tickle someone and you'd get severe damage but now you set someone on fire or shoot a wing off even and its nothing
