As a Britain main I really hate how British top tiers are the worst in the game when Britain has one of the strongest militaries in the world Gaijin done us dirty. Update: I'm primarily on about top tier ground not air as the Challenger 2 at top tier is the worst in the game.
I love getting fucked in a challenger 2 and being laughed at abt it by people when I point out the day the challys were invincible because they actually had their close to accurate armor. Like we fighting at a 50% power lmao
Britain is lowkey the underdog of air RB…..just waiting for that one aircraft. (Also you do have make shift flares for the GR.1, if you carry rockets.)
When they give it, it must have at minimum: fast supersonic I.e at least keeping up with mig 23 and f14a, long range radar missiles like the sky flash supertemp and 9Lsminimum, a turning to MIG23 MLA and lots of flares. If they do this we will have a decent aircraft doesn’t matter what it is
@@giantmidgetfreak1298 it should be very potent or better, I doubt they will add meteor missiles for it, maybe or hopefully ASRAAMS or shadow storms as it’s balanced load out in the future.
By the time we get Eurofighters the other nations other than Italy will have a diverse set of vehicles. All Britain has coming next is the Eurofighter and the f35. This statement will be false if the Eurofighter typhoon has multiple variants that Gaijin will have mercy and add for us.

Tornado GR4, Sea Harrier FA2, Tornado F3 with better missiles, Typhoon F2, Typhoon FGR4, F-35B Lightning, BAE Hawk T1A, some sort of Gnat(will probably be an Indian prem if it comes as they actually used theirs in combat) and any commonwealth vehicles that may or may not be added.
@@amon8292Germany won’t. Germany is in a much worse situation than Britain. All they can get now is the F4 ICE, Tornado ECR(probably won’t even come as it is a no gun, dedicated SEAD platform) and the Typhoon. Maybe the F-35 if that is ever added as they may have ordered some now, or maybe an Alpha Jet or something.
I can't remember who told me but I was in the RAFAC (Air Training Corps) I learnt that the Phantom on a training exercise war game, took out 12 newer aircraft, before being defeated.
I think they were pretty good aircraft irl. And before the f-14 was added to the game they were good, but having to fly against f-16's and mig-29s isn't doing it any favors sadly.
May I ask, how did you unlock the VII rank with 4 VI rank planes only? From what I know it's required to own 5 planes, unless the premiums are being count differently

However, researching that plane means buying it, which means I may not use one of the planes which was used to get me there, hence the whole Blaze of Glory name
I'm ashamed to say I once thought that because British stuff was bad in the game, it was bad in real life. Then I grew up and realised warthunder has only a passing resemblance of a vehicles true ability.
As a Brit myself i forgive you lol but That is one thing what annoys me when it comes to war thunder specifically critique of Brit stuff people base the in game versions of Vehicles and Aircraft as 100% accurate to the real life counterparts when not the case yes the games realistic to a point but still. I think people don't take into consideration too that everything had different combat roles and ways of attack for example people really critiqued the Lightning but it's role was to climb fast and high to intercept soviet bombers in reality. I will probably get jumped on for this controversial opinion but i do think Gaijin has some kind of problem to a point towards Brit stuff in certain ways they always seem to dumb down the Vehicles or add them faulty at first also when something British whats famously known to the world gets added they seem to knock the limelight of it with a similar Vehicle from another country I've noticed a pattern in those last 2 things but it was quite few years back it looked that way to me. People mock the Brit players about complaining but does seem something. Final note no i am not saying Everything my country made was best of the best just where fair positives are known.
britain air is far from the worst nation. Sure naval props are doodoo and top tier planes are lackluster, but man hispanos are the best prop gun in game currently, the spitfires are not only turny, they're also fast and the griffons hold energy like no other, they're literally the ONLY counter to the yak3u and i225. The DeHavilland Hornet is the best twin engine fighter in the entire game, it has the amazing high speed control of the j5n1 coupled to the ki83's climb rate and the speed of the p51h, The jets, except the DeHavilland venom and vampire are undertiered AS HELL, the Meteor F8 is basically a faster La-15 and the swift f7 is a better Lim-5P with better guns and better everything, people have never wondered that the flaps of the swift are also the airbrake and it can out dogfight the cl13 at very slow speed.
Undertiered... that's a joke right? Tell that to my 9.0 Hunter with no flares and no missiles getting into 10.0 games with MiG21s, F104s, and all aspect missiles....
I like how I bought this phantom before I researched anything and started grinding. just to find out I bought the worst Phantom wondering why I wasn't getting missile kills
What about the Japanese tech tree? I mean just because maneuvers I’ve won several 2v1s, and a piece of advice don’t buy the premium f-4 phantom. There’s also a premium zero for 15 U.S. dollars which I used for most of the tech tree,I’m not finished grinding the tree I’m only on the KI-200
@@Aqualobo242 well I don’t really know but they both aren’t good but they can be managed pretty well if you know how but I recommend not buying either. But if you want your money worth the premium J2M is good with the 30 mm it has.
Honestly I quite like the phantom, specifically the F4E in USA tree. It’s my most played vehicle I think and after countless games, you can counter most enemies and although even with optimal performance you won’t be able to 1v1 some opponents, if you utilise your team you can perform excellently. Even though it has a much worse radar than the F4J with no look down capability, I was getting many aces and my best game being 8 kills.
The f4s radar is bad and it is power crept, but the radar missiles are still good. Especially the aim7e2 dogfight/sky flash dogfight missiles. The aim 9js are also very effective rear aspect less than 0.5 miles /0.8 kilometers away bc people don’t think you’ll shoot a missile that close. And in downtiers it destroys everything. I don’t have the f4s but I do have the f4e in USA and it’s accually not that bad if you know how to play it. Then again this is coming from someone who just finished the su25bm missile grind and feels bad for ever hating an f4.
USA has better "skyflashes"... Britain's F4's just have SkyFlash (Which are between USA's lower "Sparrow" and their medium "Sparrow"). The Tornados have Supertemp's mk1's (but not mk2's, supertemps mk1's are in-between USA's medium and top Sparrows. So even the later tornados don't have great kit in this game). The Irony is, when USA or Britain made a new weapon... both got it roughly the same time... not like Gaijin's staggered and nation sided crap.
AIM-9J's are just RIGHT at that line between Rear-Aspect and All-Aspect IR AAM's. At 12.0 playing the F-16A I can shoot down enemy missiles head-on with my AIM-9J's. I've even gotten an annoying team kill where my 9J got flared and switched to a friendly head-on.
@@babalonkieThe UK made the Skyflash by upgrading AIM-7-E2(DF)'s with things such as a better rocket motor and a monopulse seeker for improved target lock performance at low altitude with lots of ground clutter. IIRC The US equivalent would've been the AIM-7F, as that's when we upgraded to a better motor and the monopulse seeker as well. AFAIK the 7F is more a complete overhaul where they could change whatever they want, compared to the Skyflash being an improved design based on the 7-E2(DF)'s. Which is why the 7F can pack more performance in the missile, even though they're in the same family and werr made doing the same thing.

Worst nation? Great britain has amazing planes. Maybe top tier wise it doesnt hold up against usa and ussr, but from the biplanes to early jets it is amazing.
im a somewhat new player (as in i played before but only now actually grinding) and just watching the jet gameplay makes me want to play them so baaaaaaad
I only play Britain for their awesome Centurion tanks, WW2 tanks and their WW2 legendary piston aircraft like all the spitfires. Apart from that there isn’t much to shout about for Britain
the premium phantoms definetly arent powerecreapt, spen the entire week with the Viggen C wich has the same missiles or worse and scored 10+ aces a day with 2 skyflashes and 4 aim9Ps
Guys, tornado f3 is the best plane by far, once fully upgraded what you do is start games low and come from the side use mountains for cover initially don’t get locked, then turn to enemies with sky flash, then you lock and shoot and keep a distance, once close and several enemies for example within 4km you switch to aim9Ls and shoot, I have just under 1000 deaths and over 6k kills with it
Once toy shoot etc you turn and burn, it’s a fast plane, you boom with you missiles then retreat and reload and re approach, yes mig23/29/f14a,b&16 will catch up but if y ky time you approaches properly and keep distance they won’t get you, if y or re being chased turn to you allies and burn then go for the airfield.I forgot to mention it’s got over 200 chaff and flaws so if you’re careful you’re in he’s to missiles ❤❤❤❤❤
britain is definitely not as bad as you made it out here, ive grinded it all bar the tornado strike variant. the gr.7 turns weirdly well, has aim 9ms, ect, the f.3 has supertemps and aim 9ls and holds its own against most jets and can win in a joust because of the supertemps, even at a full uptier. all the harriers are fun, the fgr.2 and fg.1 have insane thrust compared to other phantoms, yeh skyflash is mid, and youre stuck with in my eyes one of the worst stock grinds but, its fun
If you are serious about war thunder, it's is fun game. Getting premium when it's on sale for 35 for the year is best thing you could do. Especially now, it protecting you from repair cost.
Sure Britains ground tech tree is bad but i hate people who say the air tree is bad when you little have the spitfire and typhoon early tier and get the gripen and tornado late tier
